The merchant smiled pleasantly at the question saying with glee, "Not a thing, thank the light."
The merchant caught sight of a resting soldier which in turned earned the soldier a chewing out as the merchant screamed for him to get the caravan moving.
The merchant looked back at Mar saying, "Why do you ask?"
"It's painful when humans do it, but at least then there's the chance of prisoners being taken." commented the merchant. "But when goblins are involved there are no prisoners. They simply eat anything and everything they can get their damned hands on."
Several servants and guards begin packing up the inside of the tent making a lot of noise while Mar continues to wake up and finish his breakfast.
Genesius is quickly led to the lead cart where the merchant is sitting, riding hat lowered over his eyes to block out the rising sun. Hearing Genesius approach he asked, "Sleep well?"
"I imagine because you two are the only casters in his caravan, he probably feels a sense of security having you two close at hand should any goblin raiders strike." said the manservant with a small tilted bow.
The rest of the night passes quickly by without incident. Soon the morning sun rises to the sound of the camp being broken down in preparation for the journey to Sursi. The manservant had returned at down to wake the two. As soon as they appeared coherent he said, "My master has requested that you two travel with him on his cart."
The manservant bows to Genesius as he says, "Sleep well, sir."
He steps past Mar and bends down to take Genesius' empty tray of food. Grabbing it he stood up and left the tent, returning shortly to wait on Mar to finish.
The rest of the camp was quickly growing silent as the evening passed and fires put out. While the two ate their meal, the manservant from before brought to cots into the main tent. There he made two makeshift beds with blankets to help act as cushions. Then turning to the mages he asked, "Will there be anything else tonight, sirs?"
When you are ready for sleep just indicate so and we will continue the story from there.
"Very well. Bring these two a hot dish and cot each." commanded the merchant as he rose and made his way to the back of the tent.
Before stepping out he turned back to the two of you saying, "Enjoy your meals and get your rest. We break camp at first light."
With that the merchant slipped past a flap and went off to bed. A few minutes later a manservant in his mid forties approached the two of you bearing two bowls of a pleasant smelling vegetable beef stew and a loaf of bread for the two of you to split.
In a deep gravelly voice the manservant asked, "Hot tea to go with the stew, sirs?"
The merchant looks at the two of them and calls to one of the soldiers saying, "Bring me two more cots and bedrolls, these two will be staying in the main tent tonight."
Looking to the two mages the merchant asks, "Do you have any questions before we go to sleep? We have a hard ride tomorrow."
"There's no point in you two traveling separate from my caravan seeing as we're both heading in the same direction. That and our actions are aimed at aiding Sursi."
The merchant caught sight of a resting soldier which in turned earned the soldier a chewing out as the merchant screamed for him to get the caravan moving.

Turning back to Mar, the merchant gestured to an open seat saying, "Care to join us?"
