I won't be posting much, with the job I don't have much time and all.
I'm super psyched for GTC.
I live in Canada as well. I think I heard it was -17 or something, but I don't really pay attention and went out without mits or a toque. It was cold though. The type where you get ice inside your zone from the condensation from your breathing freezing (then you pinch your nostrils and they stay shut ;P)
Anyone taken the time to make a digital listing of their collection? I found an app that lets me do so and it took me about 4 to 5 hours just to do my rare/high dollar card binder and my decks. This doesn't include basic lands. I haven't hit my main collection yet. This is going to suck...
I do like the app though. It just needs to tweak its database for some more obscure printings and planechase and it's 5 stars from me.
My friend wants to make a program to do that. I think he's been wanting to do it for over a year. I've got lots of cards, I wouldn't type em by hand.
EDIT: Played TEIN in an EDH game last night. He kicked my butt vs. my Anowon, the Ruin Sage deck.
@TEIN: OK, I can give EDH another chance. Thinking of building a Teneb, the Harvester deck. Feel free to give me input!
I'm not sure like how "competitive" you want your decks to be. I feel like EDH is my format. The added complexity makes my deck building shine. I've never made a deck in those colors (although I've wanted karador at one point) but guide lines to (my) edh decks are to always have many sources of CA. Like a lot. You should never* be in topdecking mode in EDH, thats kinda like throwing the game. I like big value cards in my decks (as opposed to big cards) Wrath of God is big value where as Plague Wind is big effect. I'm not quite sure what to say... humm, if you post a list/play against me I could tell you my thoughts.
Also themes rock. They don't have to be silly themes, they can be anything, but I'd suggest between 2 and 4 themes (and synergy is KING, as always xD). The nin deck you played against only had 2 (Steal/Sac and "Play your deck") they have good synergy as the steal goes in both and Nin works in the Steal/Sac area and the CA area.)
*There are exceptions, I have deck that they huge CA engine is tons of CA cards. Then I guess topdecking is fine as 50% of the cards in the deck will fix your problem).
Normally it's 120 for bachelor's but engineering add 12 to get to 132. Then coop adds 12 more for 144.
I then Graduate in 5 years.
3 credits per semester long courses, with each coop term being also 3 credits, if you are in coop.
I felt pretty boss, my sister got PJ pants and my mom got me a nice dress shirt. I wore them together for the christmas supper and I think they went well together.
Surpisingly close. We also usually need 120 credits for a Bachelor's Degree (I need something like 144, silly engineering.) I'm guessing they are 2 years programs, I know we have those, I never knew they had a name.
40 degree Fahrenheit is is what in Celcius? 40*9/5-32 it was? no wait. 32 is the freezing point in Fahrenheit no? so 40*5/9-32? Gah I can never remember. Or was -32 freezing point. I surrender - Google says 40 is 4.444 degrees, which is the same as in a fridge about IIRC. So you guys don't have snow yet.
What's an Associate Degree? I technically don't have a degree yet either, but I'm in my 3rd year of my Bachelors.
I also dislike the fact that for you guys College = University whereas for us they are different things.
I am the only person in my team at work who has been at work for more than 5 full days in the past two weeks.
i was late and so did not manage to grab a hat on the way out. I think i still had wet hair.
I also realized, when I got to class, just now, thst i have forgotten my laptop at home. 3 hour class done from ipad ugh.
My list of cards involves:

Maybe an inventory of deck lists and good cards?
Happy 2013 everyone!
I also realized I'm not a fan of any of the mechanics.

Dumb Suspension.
The only thing I heard about it was: "You have to shovel"
It's heavy though.

I'm in Soft Eng.
EDIT: Didn't see Etched's post. You seem to hike often, how cold is it in New York atm? Stay safe!
