It seems that your clans is going to go under (touch wood); but, what if I were to join you? It's not necessarily the most pleasant thing but you could worse. It all depends on how much you folks value this or what you wanna do with it.
Hi all. I hope all is well.
'cause you clearly have been an important clan, I feel like adopted your clan article; I'd appreciate if you fed me with content or did something about the page 'cause most of it is a listing...
Sorry, but you'll always be Magic Mage to me. I don't like to call people numbers
Plus, in a few years, no one here will remember you as Magic Mage, so that'll cause some confusion (I hope).
So, are you trying to join the clan? I didn't really get that part...
Oh, bugger. There aren't many numbers, and there are fewer unique numbers, though. Confusion; good, good. Sorry but no, thanks. I spend too many hours on the Wiki and other subfora (CI, WCT, and Wiki) and patrolling other parts of the site. Besides, I'm not sure if I may join, lol! Plus, I have commitment issues.
I went to Griffith Queensland College of Art, doing a Bachelor of Photography with a major in fine art and a minor in digital art/new media. I really enjoyed it.
Till now, I had no idea of a Griffith Queensland College of Art. I've heard of QUT and Griffith University (I know a lot of people who apply/-ied to its medical school, despite it being Griffith University; apologies for being a NSW/Victorian snob, lol).
Plans for now is to keep making and exhibiting work, travel, and so on. I have about $2500 put away so far.
That sounds good and practical! All the best, Charlie!
Then lets drop this topic. If you don't believe you brought up the subject in the first place, then I don't care to try to convince you. A rather boring topic.
Er, I think we lost, and misinterpreted, each other. I think not discussing Teia's thing is good, though, for reasons beyond the fact that it's rife with potential for awkwardness or the like but because it's irrelevant and personal.
MM: I just finished my degree and start a new job next week, so I am just planning on working, saving, and hopefully moving out closer to work at the start of next year.
Congratulations; we all so should have crashed your graduation/degree ceremony! What did you read/study/concentrate/major and whereabouts? What do you want to do with yourself, or who do you want to be, now, a year from now, and in ten years' time? (I guess you'll cross that 10-year bridge, and the bridges leading there, when you get there, though.)
Again, congratulations! That's good - no, no, great - news!
We seem to have waves of activity, it couldn't hurt to have a few people to help get some more action around here.
I think I need to go to the dentist again, soon. I think on my top row of teeth the emergence of my wisdom teeth has pushed the angle of my back two molars off. I'm sick of my body betraying me, I just want to be somewhat healthy.
It'd be good to see a dentist or a specialist OMFS about that.
I wish I had the bestestest, or among the bestestest, teeth in the world. My teeth are "typically British" and have character, unlike those Hollywood teeth.
Crovax was around for a while but has been MIA lately; MM99 expressed interest in joining. . . I think
Was taken to see Moonrise Kingdom, yay. Wes Anderson
prerelease spoilers blah blah $_$ oh yeh @_@
Don't know Crovax (I think)
MM99? Is that Magic Mage, aka 9909?
I'll start recruiting
What? That should be 9909, a.k.a. Magic Mage; new handle now. The site's been less than lively these days, and the Clans subforum has been particularly dull in comparison to those days. I recently broke up with the Pack, though I don't think my heart was in it from the beginning or that I'd have a change of heart in time. We were star-crossed like that. Tant pis!
On rianalnn's seeing Moonrise Kingdom, {1} God, it's been ages since I've seen a film in the theater; and, {2} star/ensemble cast, decent direction, good score composer, interesting plot but a rom-com?
Hope you're all having a good one or have had a good one.
You called her Alex and mentioned Gender Identity. You kind of spelled it out quite clearly. votan clarified it later. I have no idea why you chose to bring up gender identity since that wasn't even the topic. The topic was her past behavior possibly being somewhat volatile. I've no idea how true any of that was though....or how it may compare with other folks such as Manders and her well known...passion...for certain topics.
I'm home from work early and have a headache, but I am not understanding you. Alex is a unisex name - lovely for guys and lovely for gals for different as well as similar reasons. As for gender identity, I think I mentioned that it's a messy issue; it doesn't matter to me, as we're simply numbers. (:((

MM: Brisbane is really good. I love living in this city more and more every day.
Good to hear! Whatcha up to now?
I don't like Queensland as it's home to scary folk with strange opinions. I'm New South Welsh/Victorian, so maybe a scary person with strange opinions to those people, eh.
Wait...Teia is actually a guy? Huh, this whole time I thought she was a girl. Though from your posts it seems I probably auta keep calling her a she. Gender identity is of little consequence on the web.
You best ask Teia herself. It's complicated and I don't want to be (caught) saying things behind their backs. I don't know how you read "Teia is a guy" or a he.
Magic Mage eh...that sound familiar. Should I know you more than in passing?
Nah. I was a stupid spammer then and I am a stupid spammer now; but, I suppose that could be said of many a user.
take a Dux... Like Charlie said, you shouldn't make the person feel embarrased. Just smile and nicely say you're flattered, but you're not gay. I promise the guy won't hump your leg unless you let him
I am sorry. I am not interested; or, I am interested in someone else. I'm frigid. votan's approach on rejecting advances can be tactful. The flattered thing may be mixed signals. It can be so for ladies, at least.
I've been talking to Teia (talked to her on Friday). Teia is a She that was unfortunate enough to be born on a male body. Fortunatelly, she's fixing the mistake (isn't it just sad when God messes up the paperwork?)
I'd appreciate if no one calls her a he. She finds it offensive, and I think it's logical. I wouldn't like if people started addressing me as She.....would you? We are Called Respectfull :).
Come on. It's can't be that bad being born whichever sex you were born; of course, you could have a preference for the other... I should know better (and more tactful towards psychological issues), but I'd like to think things through and still be happeh?
First of all, 9909, don't delete my wiki page. That's what makes me famous Well, not really, but still, I like it there.
You can always restore it; or, I'll take this as the first request. Not all that many members enjoy having things about them on the Web as I've mentioned. Add something to spruik yourself.
Okay. I'm off to cook dinner. It's been pleasant talking to you all.
Edit: On a total side note, I agree with Ria's question regarding getting nuts about the content of a largely-unknown wiki.
Second Edit: Don't delete my wiki page
The wiki is literally occult unless MaRo starts to reference it in his articles or on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and whatever else he may use.
For those that explicitly state that they'd rather their user pages kept, I'll comply with those requests. A former moderator requested that I delete details or his or her page due to considerations such as, or similar to, safety; comfort; and potential effect on employment.
I can’t tell if this 9’er person is trying to talk to us or troll us or ..why this person cares about our wiki page?
I sure as hell don't..
There's a list of things that I'd rather do than troll ladies and gentlemen on Web fora, thanks. To be honest with you, I only give a damn about your article (by no overestimation, the wiki doesn't have an Alexa rank of anything) because users gave a damn and users give a damn about it.
I also don't have a you-and/v.-me mentality; but, this feels a bit like broadcasting, so I'll stuff off and shut up for some time.
Edit: If it's not clear yet, I'm formerly known as Magic Mage and an absentee sysop of MTGS Wiki. I had a signature detailing these trivial facts as well as links that one could click to add users to one's ignore list and to add me to your ignore list.
9909....you are welcome to say hi when you have something relevant to say, but please don't post like you just did. Making a series of Quotes of a sentence or two then inserting an "er." then repeating. It's needlessly cumbersome and distracting and I'd rather not see it.
I'm sorry.
I suppose it is not only that, I'm skirting posts (and, I suppose, potential problems); how lily-livered too.
To properly address the quoted content and rectify my wrongs, here:
Its been on the back of my mind now and then to edit the wiki. We have a very long history,
True that; but, a history, however long, is not necessarily grounds to retention. MTGS Wiki truly tries to be inclusive; but, if you have the standard too low, everything is let in.
The idiom isn't "when the levee breaks", but it's to do with some structure and I'm not an engineer, haha.
and over that history we have had a lot of members come and go.
This merely makes it difficult for the Called clan to document. If I may make a suggestion, dates and durations would make the information more detailed and worthwhile; whereas, a list is too plain and meaningless.
Would be good to remember some of them.
Yes; it would. Similarly, it would be good if they remembered you, collectively speaking, and the clan.
Votan, if I remember right, has a long standing reputation in outside magic as a person who is overly aggressive, intentionally misrepresents others, and trolls. I don't know how true that is, but I have encountered her on one occasion and in that one instance those allegations seemed accurate. I had no idea she was a mod and I have no idea how well she is performing. Might be great for all I know.
Alex/Teia (for it avoids the matter of he or she, though I'd be more inclined to use she) seems interesting enough, and her gender identity (let's not pussyfoot, shall we) is of very little consequence to her role as a representative of those that Hannes has trusted to oversee the site in his stead.

As for the Wiki post, I didn't understand half of it either.
Please explain, votan. I don't understand what you understood or what you didn't; I'll end up having to explain all of it and I fear I'll simply restate what I've said in but a different way.
Just that the pages were edited (because I did it).
I re-read this, just to be sure, and I completely get you.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but Teia as a mod? Wouldn't that be that the equivalent of making shindash a mod while he was still around?
I don't know; but, this site has more than its fair share of contentious matters such as gender issues, culture matters, gun regulation issues, and so on, and this wisdom would suggest one eschew if possible.
No, this isn't at all tantamount to making Sakura a moderator when he or she was about. Although Teia might be in some way, shape, or form, to use the cliché, disagreeable (not that I find Teia so), Sakura, a cause célèbre, was by and large so and there wasn't much to Sakura's posts or activity... if I may speak frankly, that is.
Should I stick around with the site and not be an absentee user, what would it take to fit in with this crowd, eh?

As for the wiki-content discussion, kind of glad to have it here (my response seemed to be taken out of context in the other thread). My only real question is, why the need for such stringent content guidelines? I get why wikipedia does it, but with so little interest in our wiki anyway? Seems weird to me – the people who are interested in using the thing are the people who are putting the thing in there, after all
Hi, Brian.
I don't know, to be honest. I think the most important thing apropos content is to have some sort of set of guidelines at the moment. The elegant solution to killing content is to merge it into one page; (article namespace) "Clans". Currently, the 4.x k number of articles is inflated, eh.
User-related articles, be they staff/former staff or regs (for regulars, though I've yet to coin something elegant), should probably be hidden/deleted. Truly too many problems with that, even if they do it themselves.
I remember users requesting that their pages be deleted or redacted due to real matters and/or potential ones. I think I complied with some or all of them.
I'll take the liberty to say that if you're here to be helpful (either to us, MTGS, MTGSWiki or any realted thing), you're welcome
I made those edits. I was scaveging the info on Project Mayhem (my previous clan) on the Wiki, then I found it linked to me but didn't say I was Called, so I added that. Since I did, I decided to check the Called page and noticed it was out of date.
I presume that the Portuguese editor was you but it could've been someone else, eh.
Although I was on the Wiki's initial team, I know very little of wiki (I was mostly the staff's rep on the team back then), so if you can explain what that user page is, I might give you a hand
I know that you were. To speak earnestly and I mean no offence by it, I'm rather surprised.
What do you mean by "Clear cruft?" are you deleting dead clans or something?
Cruft isn't a word that is clear to me; apparently it's a tamer version of cuss words.
Most articles on MTGS clans are not only crap but they fall under the purview of the MTGS Wiki. Something like that. I'm mildly inebriated (er, not with love), so excuse me if things aren't explicit or coming out right.
I also do not know what this user page is of which you speak.
The Gutter has some history on Sakura. That was interesting/pleasant/unpleasant.
Although a quorum is impossible to meet with most administrators being gone or not ever really being administrators, the administrators of MTGS Wiki have come to the decision to delete these pages too. Understandable, for legal reasons is set of reasons.
Pardon my intrusion but, seeing as this is related to your clan, you'd think it's only fitting to post here.
votan and others, thank you for your edits to The Called article on MTGS Wiki; currently, we're trying to clear cruft and other stuff. Is anyone going to volunteer a user page for their clan article?
Oh, hi; bye. I'm not sure if I'm welcome here, so I'll make this as short as possible.
Cheers.

A user page is a page in the namespace "User:". For example, http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/User:LuciohmhipsopmkBernson or http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/User:Yami_Michael. User pages are more or less vanity pages and I don't think at any stage the administrators of the wiki will have anything, much less rules, about such pages.
Er.
Uhm.
I guess so.
Maybe.
