It's meant for friends to gather and talk in a more relaxed way. But it's still a place where actual conversations should take place.
Most conversations aren't relegated to long sentences and crazy explanations. Some time you just feel the urge to agree and call out with one of two words to show your interest in the conversation. A more "relaxed" conversation. The fact that the rules change nearly once a month without a verbal notification to any of the members or forum participants is not the fault of the forum users. When many of us started posting in the clan forums....under different clans or threads the rules were such that simple one word phrasing was acceptable as long as it wasn't the norm. As long as you provided more scope in your next post it was accepted as part of the conversation. When the forum rules get updated nobody tells the forum users that things have changed. New standards of decorum are not expounded upon by the moderators in a manner that informs the user base that anything is different than it was a day or week or month ago. Therefore many of the users in this area read the forum rules 7 years ago when they created their clans or followed their clans from MTGNews and never gave it another thought to go back and peruse the rulebook a second time.
It's just warning after warning after infraction after infraction leading to eventual bannings that are completely unexpected. For a while there people were getting warned and infracted for posts made prior to any rules changes but were being retroactively enforced for some reason that was never explained, just done.

Agreed! If we can't trust the mods and Admins to tell us the simple truth about anything, how we trust them to allow us to thrive in here.

I have a real problem with two posts above that were flagged for spam. Isn't that the whole point of the clan forum. I thought there was a larger tolerance for spam in this area as long as it was relegated to your own clan thread and not crossing the line into other clans?!?
Man...this place really is going to crap!

It seems that any game that comes out now has a zombie mode. My son is finding that as a basis for downloading games lately.
Zombies....huh....who knew?

dude, parents dont do anything and kids dont do anything. i seen some not good (but not dangerous) stuff in my teens that i still havent told my parents.
like i think just recently i told them i cut class twice in highschool my senior year and between me and my older siblings im the 'good' kid.
The thing is....I had a bunch of friends that didn't tell their parents anything and they were usually the worst of the bunch. I'm not talking guns and fighting and prostitution, more just drink a lot and sneak out of the house all the time. Anytime they got in trouble it was because of the bad influence of people like me.
I told my parents everything. It took a little time but I realized early enough that they pretty much knew everything anyway. I mean...they were kids too. My parents were married with children before the age of 19. They snuck around and smoked and drank as teenagers. When I opened up to them they actually let me have more freedoms. I also found that I didn't drink as heavily when I went out. I did go crazy with my college freedoms either.
But then there are those kids whose parents just don't want to accept that their child has issues. Then it becomes the parent's fault for living a life with blinders on. The thing is....they try to find the reason in their friends and peers as to why their kids were "troubled". They need to look at themselves first.
Denial is the easiest way to get over grief. Shame really....

Good thing she left Maryland. People get shot on the first day of school here! That was so crazy, as it's just down the street from where I live.
The kid came into school with a dismantled double-barrel shotgun and pulled both triggers at once! That's the only reason the teacher that tackled him was able to do so. He had to reload. He shot a special needs student with Down's Syndrome on the back.
Thing is....he posted on his facebook page that morning that this was the last day of his life. You'd think that the parents of a 15 year old would take action if their child posted that crap on their page. He also had friends that talked to him about suicide over the summer and they didn't say anything to his parents. What the hell people!?>!?!

I can play fps games but if I watch someone else play them I'm almost instantly sick and dizzy. I always expect them to move differently and when they go another direction my brain can't take it.
I like the airplane style controls as well. Push forward to look down, pull back to look up...etc.

(N_S) I love the pictures. I find it very interesting that the grave marker seems to have a well worn path leading to it. There looks to be some regular traffic that makes it's way to that site, but not to much to make the path bare. To be honest....that intrigues me more than the grave itself. As if to indicate it's regularly visited by people. That would lead me to wonder who would visit the site enough to create the path that leads to it.
You've got me thinking today....much appreciated!

Jealous of Iron Maiden....saw them back in 1992 with Anthrax opening for them! Front row....freaking awesome.
Volbeat was really good. They are a rockabilly/metal hybrid. They can be really heavy and hard, but they have a Misfits style vocalling that's really "hooky". The sounded incredible live and were very entertaining. I hadn't heard of them before my buddy asked me to go and meet up with people I hadn't seen in 15 years. I started listening to them to get an idea of their sound found them very appealing. The even throw in an element of some Reverend Horton Heat in their sound. I like it. The coolest part is they ended the show with Raining Blood...that was freaking awesome. Anytime you can incorporate some Slayer into your show it's complete win for me.

sorry if i bothered anyone
Naw dude....I gots no probs witchoo!
So went and saw Volbeat last night...what a great show! Some goofy band named Iced Earth opened for them...they were ok but I wasn't terribly impressed. I was excited to see the Hellyeahs though. I didn't know they were part of the opening act and they were excellent. Last time I saw Vinnie Paul (drummer for Pantera) was at Pantera in 1992! He sounded spot on as always.
I just need to rub some ointments on my old joints now!
