The WU list is much like that, although ideally you want to miracle everything, since it's not discarding miracles and playing dumb Noxious Revival games. Seems like a lot of two-life payments, especially the plan you discussed about flashing back the Revivals, with no green mana source. Good luck with that.
And as for the missing Masterys and Bonfires, they can be replaced with Thunderous Wrath, someone once told me a quarter of your opponent's life was great, and you can hard cast it for the Coup de Grace

- I sincerely hope you didn't hurt anything with that sudden reverse.
We had this convo: I do miss magic, I just didn't want to play in a meta where decks are thrown together with miracle cards and there is no more thought or creativity involved. According to several people, miracle hasn't made as big of a splash as anticipated.
Honestly, after all the whining you did about miracle as a mechanic... Lookee here, you want a miracle deck.
The deck plays them because when used correctly they can do alot of damage, it still requires you to think of plays and make the best decisions possible. This is a deck where you may not want to play a miracle immediatly and where having one in your opening hand is actually a good thing
Yeah, besides the fact that I'm missing one Bonfire and two Temps, I'd be playing UW miracle before I let a hater like you play this pile.
Honestly it seems good to me. It's right up my alley with the control setting and it's very versatile. And I can always improvise, I've gotten very good at that
Magic players have fun in different ways concerning this game. Some people want to be king of the hill reigning over all others. Some like building crazy decks and finding ridiculous interactions. Some like playing just to be social.
I once made a token deck with Fists of Ironwood and Vigean Hydropon just so I could say "Fisting the poon". I haven played competitive magic in years, I am not that guy anymore. But I still read all the articles I can. And I have spent an unhealthy amount of time watching live coverage of tournaments. I have a great time playing stack with you guys. Gathering together for box bustin' and sortin'. I love magic more than ever.
Just do whatever provides the most enjoyment and don't mind anyone else. I remember this kid who used to play at Marks back in the Timespiral era with a mono black vampires deck. It was full of crazy stuff and was pretty janky compared to Pickles and D-Storm, which were the hot decks at the time. But he was there playing that deck for months at a time. You always knew the morph was a Soul Collector but he still loved it when he finally got off a Sudden Spoiling and took your dudes.
Just do whatever is the most fun for you. Make your vampire deck. Find your poon and FIST IT!
Sweet baby jesus on a unicycle this made me laugh. amazingly, it also had a very valid point and I may just return to magic yet. **** wizards and all their clownish legions, I have alot of fun playing this game.
BTW: IB4 Fist the Poon is coined as a way to say "just enjoy magic"

Yes Mikey K is infallible , except for the fact that you did say it was "bad" with me at fnm, you said the mechanic was bad, aaaand cue denial as usual...
Glad I could return to absolutely hilarious Mike bashin'.
I sincerely hope DMX is right because this Ghandi like hunger strike on magic is givin me some stomach cramps.
Dealing with the GF EVERY WEEKEND with little to no breaktime leaves one with a serious case of Magic withdrawal, but I cannot deny my disgust for miracle. If someone could provide me with an accurate portrait as to what is happening at FNm with this **** mechanic it would be greatly appreciated
btw: Maelstrom Wanderer? Cascade Cascade is ****in hilarious and must be in stack

Sick blatant double-post with no mod in sight. If I even thought about doing that I'd get flagged immediately due to the fact I'm constantly under the microscope but lets move on to certain key points.
@GOC and the FNM Crew: I will probably be taking an extended leave of absence from FNM until the new block for several reasons:
1) As Zaphrasz put it, Lotto: the Gathering just isn't fun, specially when only half of the lotto tickets are for the actual drawing.
2) Wizards has no interest in listening to the opinions of it's players, just an interest in dicking them whenever they get the chance\
3) The level of skill required for this game has gone from Moderate to Pants-on-Head-Retard-Friendly overnight. Top-deck and win the game is all thats needed now.
Instead of giving Wizards more of my already limited cash, I think I'll simply work extra shifts at the AFP and do something that doesn't make me want to gouge someone's eyes out with a spindown

A Helvault has been opened. And, there is sewage inside. 1x of each mythic angel... but they're oversized, so they're useless. Spin down dice... OOOOH. The part I'm most interested in, sadly, are the alternate art angel and demon tokens - and that's mostly because the demon token from Innistrad is basically being reprinted in AVR, and that token is the ****tiest demon I have ever ****ing seen.
So, let me just piece a few things together here:
1) Decks are being designed for any moron to pickup and win
2) This game no longer requires skill
3) Prize support that older players would still enjoy is now utter poop
Good job Wizards, nice to see your on top of things:facepalm:

I'm not so sure the sky is actually falling, but the land does continue the Avacyn Restored theme of obnoxious rules setting and preventing your opponents from doing things to your stuff. I guess people like creatures they can hardly solve and cards that turn off their spells.
But countermagic is no fun, of course.
The point I'm trying to get across is the fact that standard is saturated in aggro. There needs to be some sort of balance brought back to the game. Right now, wizards is encouraging the sheeple called magic players to mindlessly pick up deck and jump in. play-dude-swing decks can be fun, but when everyone is doing it it's annoying. and with the inception of Miracles as an actual mechanic, the skill required to play this game has drastically decreased.

Unburial Rites and Quicksilver Amulet do a lot of cheating. I'd add Girthing Pod, but if you sac Norn to get Avacyn, you're just really bad. Once Scars rotates, and M13 both drops the Titans (hard to see them threepeat) and returns a decent reanimation spell to the format, Avacyn may have a chance to shine. MAY.
I still don't think so. It's hard to see someone useing a white card that costs 8 evejn with quicksilver amulet. I don't recall any sneerworthy deck trying to cheat out anything but Norn, but if it comes to it and men are forced to play a deck like that then may God have mercy on their soul

AND. . . Avacyan is utter **** unless they have a way to cheat out angels. The ability is cute (and jizz in EDH), but not economically viable. 8 mana is a steep price in a fast format.
@ Samoht: i should amend my statement; most Angels are ****. Baneslayer is an obvious exception
@ GOC: Who was playing Emeria? For Zendikar block all i remember are RDW and U/B decks beyond the monogreen build I was playing. And sunblast was a stretch SB card against weenies or tokes. It's almost a Retaliate on a stick

Brilliant ult is FINE in stack, no issue at all....I still feel any indefinate reuse cards such as cards w/ BUYBACK should be banned in stack.
I have to disagree. Cards with buyback (like Reiterate) are fine. They are inherintly AGAINST evergame: as soon as someone has the balls to use it everyone always goes "target aquired" and they die instantly. Or you disgust men to the point where you actually become a threat and must be dealt with. You can still use buyback only once per turn anyway. If there's any broken card in stack it would be the Crush of Wurms that you got rid of, that's the correct call there.
@ SF: Agreed sir. I cannot think of any Angel in recent history that has seen standard play. Lets see how much of the set winds up being EDH fodder again. They (Wizards) is going a little overboard with the 'print-****-exclusively-for-commander-cuz-it-sux-anwhere-else' mania
SO, funny story, I was blazing on Chat Roulette dressed as a hippie when I met a female Magic player from Norway. Apparently over there Magic is the biggest thing since sliced bread and most youths play competitively. They also use workstation to playtest with peps from all over the world.
@ GOC: just wondering if we have a NYC Dark Knights International Chapter.
