Also, still no word about shockland reprints. Closest we came to a confirmation was during a question about modern reprints, where Aaron Forsythe said that he thought some people will have figured out some of the reprint plans by now.
From the Vault lands still needs something exciting. There isn't yet any Berserk or Mox Diamond type highlight, but we do have 6 cards to go. Still hoping for a Wasteland or a Karakas.
Little daunted by the new yearly commander product. I get that they want to milk a profitable product while they can, I just hope they don't overdo it.
Good point about Alara specific stuff being in the set, I forgot about that.
Still, green didn't get exalted this set, and most rares aren't printed with tournament play in mind. Don't get me wrong, I won't be buying any M13, but people are complaining a lot about it.
Noble Heirarch is setting specific. Green doesn't generally play well with blue, and green didn't get exalted in this set.
Not a fan of this set, but it's fun watching people complain over Index not being good enough. Blue might not get the best cards in the format? Say it ain't so.
Looks like I will never be playing a white EDH deck at prices like that. I imagine the price will lower a bit after the initial rush, but part of me does hope it finds plenty of play in Legacy. It's not on the reserved list, so they can go ahead and print more if it gets to be a problem.
Doesn't look like Day of Judgement is in the set. Hope for some sort of replacement, or something come Return to Ravnica, because I've has my fill of these hexproof guys and hate losing anything that combats them.
Big fan of Nighthawk reprint. It didn't see much play last time, but it is clearly a good card, and black needs the boost.
Isn't everyone at this point just hoping for shockland reprints? Sure, the prices may tank (though with standard demand, maybe not for a bit) but they are so good and in such a need for reprints.
Don't forget Cavern of Souls hamstringing counters. Drownyard style control decks might not work anymore. I expect control will play more tapout style, with stuff like Lingering Souls and some combination of planeswalkers.
Or delver could still just be the best deck. Flying Wild Nacatls do that.
I've been trying to build a mono miracle deck, because I think it's hilarious. Probably too random to actually see play.
Outside that, Hallowed Burial saw play in a format with no wraths. Terminus obviously sucks more for full casting cost, but being able to clear the board and land a threat in the same turn could be huge.
I heard that there were 2 different types of them to open. One is the crap that we saw spoiled online. Another had foil tokens and judge promos in it.
Yup, the ones stuffed with Judge Foils were randomly given to WPN Advanced stores.
I realize that this is a game predicated on randomized booster packs, but stuff like this makes me not want to open packs or attend events. I'd prefer not to play Lotto: The Gathering.

And I miss the Torment artwork. It was wonderfully disturbing.
That and no one will be able to ruin legacy with 8xArcLightning.dec.
I'm really hoping red gets a boost. It sees even less play than black is at the moment. Strictly worse Incinerate is clearly the right direction.
