Is there a good resource for finding the pricing of specific test print cards? Is the best bet just to find closed ebay sales (of which there isn’t a result for some of the test prints I’m looking for)?
See my Jan. 7th, 1019 answer, a couple questions above your own.
I recently got a foil Soul Collector from Scourge online. It seems to be an unstamped prerelease misprint, with the text box watermark but no date. Bit of a pain as I'm trying to collect the regular foil set.
I can't find anything about it online other than the fact that it exists; no auction listings or other valuations. I'm not into misprints myself so I haven't a clue if it's worth anything, does anybody? Its condition is great, no scratches or wear or bending or anything.
Cheers!
Now this does require a subscription cost, but if you go to www.worthpoint.com - they have most listings from the past decade on record. My folks use it for pricing antiques.
I just bought some cards from another off of OfferUp. I found among all of them this really strange Ice Age Incinerate. Now, I know it's on worth a few cents and to boot, is in MP condition.
What struck me odd is how it felt & looked like a proxy. I looked at it sideways and it looked normal, i.e. wasn't thicker than other cards, no "extra" level of paper or signs that there was a thin sheet of printed paper.
Other odd signs of it is that the top is cut a bit off (not a perfect straight line). Also, the back feels the same as the front: ever so slightly rough, not the typical way a Magic cards feels, w/ the smooth finish. It has an unusual rigid feel when giving it a slight bend, as it feels stiffer than a regular Magic card. All clues point to fake, but maybe I have something unusual here.
I am really perplexed by this, as why would anyone make a proxy/fake card for something only worth a few cents. This is a strange mystery.
I got this foil misprint from a collection I bought. The card is just a common, and not a regularly played card. What makes it unique is the foiling mistake. Can anyone give me an approximate value of it? I think it is normally around 35 to 40 cents as a foil.
Also, is problems w/ foiling like this a typical error found when foiling mistakes happen?
Got this in a trade today... not 100% what it is. My guess is a Russian promo Elvish Mystic. Am'I right? If so, what's the value on it?
The card is a Russian language FNM promo Elvish Mystic. You can get a playset for as low as $24 + $4 shipping right now on ebay. The regular English version looks like it goes for around $3.
Hope that helps.
I saw that, but Russian brings in a premium when it's foiled out, right?
The first price I listed was for the Russian versions. Playset of Russian promos for $24 + $4 shipping.
Ah, got it... thought those were US prices. So, about $6 on the average should be right... right?

Hey all. Not sure if this is right place for this but I haven't found a better spot.
I was hoping to get some info on this old deck box I have. Does anyone know where it came from and if it has any value?
I recently bought some old cards and found some strange printing errors in the foiling. At an angle, there is a line that is visible at an angle, where the foiling just goes flat. I have attached 2 photos to show the strangeness.
Was wondering if it constitutes as a misprint? And if so, how rare is it & what are they valued at?
Star City Games has an SP one at $53.99 (I would ignore the sales price). I would increase the price by 20%, then figure out how much that would be in Euros.
I have a FBB (Japanese) 4th Ed. Black Vise. I checked Ebay and the prices found are all over the place (of the "sold" listings), so having trouble pinning down a good approximate price being a FBB card. Can someone give a good, rough estimate of it's value. It is in NM condition.
I also have a really smudged/dirty Enthralling Victor (it is actually grungier looking in person).
See attached pics for both.
For your FBB Vise, checking the latest eBay sold listings is really the only way to get an idea of the price. It just got unbanned, so history is pretty much useless here.
And Victor is already a pretty dirty boy. He doesn't need any help
So, in theory, to get a practical idea of the FBB Black Vise, how much time should I give - a week, a month, longer? If I trade it away, I need the best idea.
And yes, Victor is a dirty white boy, but to a collector, what value, $$$ wise, can I expect (approximately).

Picked up a strange inking error from an Urza's Saga common: Fertile Ground; the ink job is heavy on the left side and fades slowly to normal, going from left to right.
This is a casually played card. So wondering what it's price would be? Photo attached.

Is that plastic, tin, or pleather?

That's my best guess.
What is their value?
