1. Can the card fulfill the "Destroys things" bonus by dealing damage to things?
2. Can the card fulfill the "Destroys things" bonus by exiling things?
3. Does the card have to specifically have a "destroy" clause to fulfill the "Destroys things" bonus?
You can't submit the card to any of the official MCC Round threads, but you can post your card in the general Custom Card Creation forum and ask for feedback there. A few people do this if they'd like to try their hand at a round challenge but aren't in the round themselves. And the feedback helps for future MCC competitions.
I've never asked or checked, do I need a render of the card for any of the rounds? That would be awesome...
As noted, it's not required, but I would highly recommend generating one. There's just something about seeing a card creation of yours "in the flesh".
The big consideration for renders is that sometimes you can't find any artwork that matches your concept for a card. However, a render is quite practical if you already have the artwork (and attribution) in question.
On a related note, does anybody know of a Mac release for MSE?
Try here. Yes, it's an MWS-related discussion, but post 19 onwards implies that the same instructions can be used to get MSE to run on a Mac. It's quite technical, though.
In other news, Ikeda, you really need to give other contestants a chance to win. You seem to be in the final round every month now Congrats.
Sorry about that. I was scheduled for a work-related transfer in early November, and it seemed likely that my involvement in MTGS was going to drop significantly. I figured I'd go for one last MCC (for the foreseeable future) as a result.
Thanks, all. Hopefully I'll be able to join up once more.
- the card makes the creature an exact copy of another creature, including p/t.
I'll expand on that:
- The card sets the equipped creature's power and toughness to a certain value. (The value may or may not be higher than the creature's current power or toughness, say, "Equipped creature is 3/3.")
Challenge 2 requires that the card "doesn't have an ability that increases the equipped creature's power or toughness". Would the following be legal submissions?
- The card gives +1/+1 counters to the equipped creature.
- The card gives power and/or toughness bonuses to other creatures, but not to the equipped creature. (i.e. "Creatures you control other than equipped creature get +0/+1.")
- The card gives the equipped creature a power and/or toughness penalty. (i.e. "Equipped creature gets -1/-1.")
The second challenge for Round 2 requires: "No keyword abilities". I assume that this does not cover ability words like Chroma and Hellbent, and that these are still fair game, right?
The June MCC was quite a challenge - I doff my hat to those who organized the round requirements last month.

If it's not too out of line, I would propose asking LordBlade to choose one, and passing that on to an existing judge.
