Static-Cling Goblin1R
Creature -- Goblin Wizard (U)
Flash
When CARDNAME enters the field, you may change one target of target spell to CARDNAME. (If it has no targets that can target this, it remains unchanged.)
1/1 Illus: A Goblin servant in a wizard’s laboratory is carrying a large spellbook. He is afflicted by blue static electricity that is arcing between him and the wizard’s fantastical machinery. He is visually uncomfortable, although not hurt: his hair is sticking out and pieces of used parchment paper are stuck to his clothes. A red fire spell has suddenly changed course towards him.
Mood: “Why me?”
After Spellskite, I changed my wording to match:
When CARDNAME enters the field, you may change a target of target spell or ability to CARDNAME.
Beastly Diversion1G Instant (U)
Choose target blue or black spell that targets a creature. Put a 3/3 green Beast creature token onto the field and change a target of that spell to that token.
Life link Angel <balanced mana cost>
Creature - Angel
Flying, Lifelink
Whenever you gain life, you may pay 1W, if you do put a +1/+1 counter on each (other?) creature you control.
3/3
I like to make improved versions of older cards that have not stood up well to the test of time so that I can reuse otherwise nice names/art/flavor/etc. After Ajani's Pridemate, I put that ability on my improved Warrior Angel.
Warrior Angel4WW Creature - Angel Warrior (R)

Whenever you gain life, you may put a +1/+1 marker on Warrior Angel. She represents not hope, but hope’s desperate fury.

Rebuke. Reverse Vanquish is an obvious design and stronger most of the time.
Spectral Rider. Mine was part of a White Knight/Black Knight cycle both with "first strike, intimidate". Maybe first strike is too good, but I liked the way that two cards with the same abilities could play really differently because of the different colors.
Village Bell-Ringer. Similar but with tokens in my Command cycle. I think I like this common creature better.
Community Command1WW Instant (R)
Choose two — Put two 1/1 white Soldier creature tokens onto the field; or untap all creatures you control; or creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn; or creatures you control gain protection from the color of your choice until end of turn.

You have no maximum hand size.
CARDNAME’s power and toughness are each equal the number of cards in your hand.

As an additional cost to cast CARDNAME, exile a creature card with power X from your graveyard.
Target creature gets -X/-1 until end of turn.
Unbreathing Horde. Trying to make a Mortivore variation based on the Castlevania boss Legion and stumbling upon Phantom Centaur's ability as a flavorful replacement to regeneration. It is not Zombie tribal like Soulless One, but really similar. Seeing this at 2B makes me wonder if mine has a little too much back mana in the cost, although I still kind of like that.
Legion of the DeadBBB Creature - Zombie (R)
CARDNAME’s power and toughness are each equal to the number of creature cards in your graveyard.
If damage would be dealt to CARDNAME, prevent that damage and exile a creature card from your graveyard.

Ashmouth Hound. Not this exact mana cost and P/T combination, but a lot of people have probably made cards with this ability anyway.
Bramblecrush. I called that they would eventually be making a straight noncreature version of Creeping Mold a long time ago. I'm still highly confused when other player's are offended that green gets this kind of effect.
Ranger's Guile. From before hexproof was keyworded, then using my keyword veil for what is now hexproof:
VeilG Instant (C)

I first made it long before Soul's Fire, so I can understand it now being less than three mana, but it is really the common symbol I find most surprising. I guess it follows "off color" cards like Ice Cage, Entangling Vines, and Arachnus Web with a realization that every color should have common answers for limited's sake.
I have hoping for a straight green Triangle of War sorcery for a long time. I had mine for 2G and sliding back and forth between uncommon and rare. Even a interesting green creature that could do it freely without red mana or without a restriction like Durkwood Tracker would be cool. Living Inferno, Stalking Yeti, Magus of the Arena, Hateflayer, and Cyclops Gladiator are all in different ways a little disappointing as red cards because red can do better than Tracker damage, but they would have been pretty amazing as green cards. Master of the Wild Hunt and Predatory Urge were hopeful steps into this mechanic in modern design, but were a little slow/costly and didn't lead to any further cards. The spoiled Werewolf Daybreak Ranger//Nightfall Predator was incredibly disappointing that it needed red mana. Then...
OMG ... MONOGREEN Fight ... One mana! ... Common!
Obviously it can't be on too many green cards in any given environment, but hopefully this will end the arguments against monogreen custom cards with Tracker damage.
A while ago I noticed that other than Cephalid Coliseum and Cephalid Sage there was no card draw with threshold. Among other cards like some Rootgrapple style cantrips, I made this more straight forward card that I worried might be too good:
Ancient DreamsU Sorcery (U)
Draw a card. Threshold — Draw two cards instead if seven or more cards are in your graveyard.
The difference between seven cards in your graveyard for threshold and twenty cards in any graveyard for the suped-up Visions of Beyond is a lot while playing the game, so I'm still unsure if this is too good or which of the two is better.
Can I invite you guys to click my signature, go to Multicolored - Legends, and check Forshieg Manabound, then go and compare it with Animar, Soul of Elements?
I think they are tapping my lines.
PLUS: Fumar? Animar? That has got to be a shout out.
I think the name is more of a play on "Animal" -> "Animar", but the abilities are certainly similar.
I made this several years ago as a cross between Withered Wretch and a Shade: Quiltwork Banshee2B Creature - Spirit (U) B: Exile target card from a graveyard. If that card is a creature card, put a +1/+1 counter on CARDNAME.

Sorcery - - Common

Which was their Death's Duet with an "up to" added in so that the player could use it even if there was only one creature card in the graveyard. It is odd that the flexibility to be just a Disentomb makes it cost more though.
Looking through and updating the wording on some of my older card files, I found this Lesser Gargadon riff that I made sometime in about 2006-2007.

I never bothered posting it though because I knew it was just ridiculously overpowered. Looking back on it, it would have been interesting to see the comments it could have gotten and compare them against Primeval Titan today. Oh well.
eh. I don't remember it exactly, but to avoid combos with things like persist, my version took a little from Sakashima the Impostor. It was something like this:

Enchanted land is a Swamp.
Whenever enchanted land is tapped for mana, Tainted Land deals 2 damage to that land’s controller.
And now it is apparently in RoE, except triggering when tapped for any reason and with an unpreventable 2 life loss.

Legendary Creature -- Elf Knight (R)
First strike
When Swiftblade the Wanderer comes into play, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a nonland card. Put the cards revealed this way into your hand.

Especially potent with Scouting Trek, but usually closer to just a cantrip.
Whoops - 1WBR
Instant
Untap and gain control of target permanent until end of turn. That permanent gains Haste until end of turn. At end of turn, destroy it.
Well, that is sort of like saying that you designed a card a little bit like Threaten before Onslaught came out, but five years after Ray of Command was printed. Slave of Bolas was designed (I'm fairly certain) to be a simplified version of Spinal Embrace.
