I don't run those effects ever either, but if ever there was a way to make them work I think slapping them to a bear is a good start. You can tutor it with Imperial Recruiter if you run it (I just checked--you don't). Everyone seems really excited about the card, so it was just strange that it didn't come up in your new card discussion.
I'm actually going to pickup the mono-red Commander deck for myself because I love Daretti, Scrap Savant and Scrap Mastery so much. Our version of Squee, like yours, loses more and more artifacts with every edit, and currently the deck has no "artifacts matter" cards. I'm going to give Squee the Dualcaster Mage and the Feldon of the Third Path and build myself a Daretti deck with just about everything else. If Dualcaster proves to be as insane as people think he is, I'll grab myself another copy for myself.
Mana Geyser does seem sweet, I'll see if I can squeeze it in. I like Goblin Lore, but since my fiance is the primary pilot of the deck I want to make sure she has maximum amounts of fun, and cards like that are harder for newer player to understand. I think Tormenting Voice and Wild Guess are a bit more straightforward (discard Squee, draw two) so they'll go over better. I'll gauge her responses and see if I can squeeze more in.
I'm glad you like the list! Let me know how the proxy goes if you end up doing it! My version is less explosive, more grindy. The goal is to stay relevant but not threatening until it's you vs someone else, and then slap them in the face with the last 10 points of damage with flashback burn/phoenixes/whatever. It's a blast, and I don't know if it's the deck or the fact that everyone wants to be nice to the girl at the table, but she ends up in that last 2 standing position most times she plays.
Cards from my list I think you should be running: Inferno Titan (He burninates the countryside at Trogdor levels of efficiency) Staff of Nin? (kind of clunky, but Phyrexian Arena is good and the 1 damage is always surprisingly relevant. Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded (seriously underrated since he requires a specific deck, aka ours) Purphoros, God of the Forge (plays soooo well with Squee. Not as explosive as in token decks and such, but still brings the pain)
I also really like the madness and flashback spells, but adding those would require a lot more cuts than I'm comfortable requesting. You're deck looks great!
Given the artifacts you run, I'd say cut Welder. He only really interacts favorably with Memory Jar, otherwise it's just a random protection spell. Cut it for something like Inferno Titan for more face-melting.
SQUEE!!! I'm so happy you still play this; I thought you didn't and then I got sad that seemingly no-one played Squee.
Have you tried Karn Liberated or Spine of Ish Sah? The Spine, in particular, has been an all-star in Karn / any deck I've built since the card came out--people act like repeatable, colorless Vindicates aren't a big deal, but they are. I have never cast this without it coming back for round 2; all the advantage, all the time.
The only cut I'm eh about is the Hellkite: he's always been solid for me at just about every stage of the game. He eats a lot of removal, but that's what creatures do.
Hail Sun Droplet! My brother and our friends have been trying to get me to cut this card for so long, but I refuse, partly out of stubbornness, but mostly because this card helps keep me alive for much longer than I rightfully should. I'm glad someone else likes this terrible card.
I just put Molten Psyche in my deck, but I haven't tested it yet. My theory behind it is due to the high land count, my hand most games ends up being 4 lands and 1 or 2 spells; these hands can be pitched for (hopefully) something better. Since Metalcraft is easy to achieve (and I'm already trying to get it for the new Phoenix, I echo your excitement over this card) the extra damage could be quite nice, especially when paired with Wheel of Fortune. Since this deck wants to draw more cards and deal more damage, this seems like a perfect fit.
I'm going to blatantly steal your Firestorm tech, as I've been looking for a Devastating Dreams replacement for a while now, but am too much of scaredy pants to cut a sweeper.
Have you tried Shivan Phoenix at all? The free return to the hand seems nice, and it obviously plays well with sacrifice effects, but less well with Jaya Ballard, Task Mage and other discard effects. Worth it? I just picked one up on a whim, but haven't put it into my deck yet.
Also, where is Reverberate / Fork? Reverberate has been stellar in my deck, allowing red a tiny bit more flexibility than it usually enjoys. I plan on complimenting it with a Fork as soon as I can procure one.
Awesome deck, thanks for inspiring me to build it. Its been a blast.

Why aren't you excited for Dualcaster Mage?
