Some sets are much easier to scrub than others. To wit, premium pack SoA block cards will clean up crazy easy and old Mirrodin cards are damn near impossible.
The trick would be not damaging the border or mana symbol, which I didn't manage last time I tried.
I can spot the differences, but that does look strangely familiar.
Looks like you put a lot into yours as well. Definitely went in on the cooler duals and ONS fetches. It is one of my favorite decks. Glad you're having fun with it!
IMO, 100% foil diminishes the wow factor a bit. Having a certain percentage of FBB, Beta, or other non-foil pimp really makes the deck "pop." Of course, that's just my opinion.
You know, I never really thought about it that way, but I'd agree with it. I really really like my foils. I also really really like having 5 mono-colored decks using Euro lands, my English Legends rares, and various Antiquities/Arabian Nights/FBB/Beta gems.
@therestless Where did those swamps come from? I looked on Gatherer, and it didn't show Kev Walker as having done the art on Swamps.
You've uncovered my Euro land problem! I have one EDH deck for each mono-color using Euro lands as the basics. That particular swamp is here: http://magiccards.info/euro/en/10.html
The others can be found by clicking the European Land Program header. #6-10 are the red pack, and are all awesome. #1-5 are the green pack, of which the Forest and Island are great, and the Mountain is alright. #11-15 are the purple pack, which is pretty much useless though the Swamp is fine. They're all artwork of actual locations, with amazing detail, and I like that there's no set symbol.
Hazezon Tamar. Possibly my most Sheldon-esque deck (everything's fair if it's green! ). Pretty good at wiping out everyone in a single turn. I've had this deck around for a while and it's probably my next candidate for getting all the un-pimpable stuff altered after Kaervek. Currently 89/93 +2/7 altered (though I'll probably leave the Sylvan Library alone).
Now you've done it...
Multani, mono-green beats. This guy ended up being a lot harsher than I thought he would be (often killing a player around turn 4), so I don't bring him out very often. Also not in the greatest shape but I'll probably not be getting any of the upgrades for a while. 85/96 and 0/4.
Bah, still haven't learned?
Geth MBC. Not a friendly deck (the Necromancy is a stand-in for a Contamination getting altered). While quite capable of winning the game through normal use of Geth's ability, that often just uses up everyone's resources so they don't have an answer to KCI/Sculpting/Spine or Exsanguinate. 85/89.
Haven't shown anything here in a while but I've been getting a lot of progress made on stuff recently. I'll probably be posting a bit more over the next couple weeks.
To start, an actually complete, 100/100 deck. Linvala mono-white control. I've had this deck around for about three years I think. Used to have Akroma as the general, and has been updated as whatever new sets come out, but the basic idea of have angels + equipment + be difficult to kill has stayed the same.
This is Riku, the creature version! This is possibly my most volatile deck. One instant to search up any one of the 5 sorceries and a very carefully selected set of many amazing creatures. It is not complete, but considering what's lacking I don't think I'll be making any progress on it for a while. By my consideration it is 84/92, discounting the 8 alter-only upgrades.
I feel like if I foil out a deck having to explain what every card does gets annoying after a while, guess my playgroups just aren't cultured enough for japanese cards.
We both take our EDH decks to PTQs and GPs and play with a lot of judges there. They tend to be in-the-know. At the LGS though, yeah, it can get a little old.
Geth, red Akroma, and Venser are all euro lands. IIRC Riku is all foil Zen lands. For the rest I just got a number of the same art foil basic that looked good. I kind of want to have Linvala be all the windmill plains but I'd need like 12 more of them.
Eh, every time I go to the shop I'm carrying a box worth ~12-13k. I have a good collection, but I'm not a collector. I'm a deck builder. I must ensure my creations get played or they're useless. If something every happened to that box it would be catastrophic but there's no point in having it if I'm not going to use it.
Hey, nothing wrong with some foil proxies. I have 10 EDH decks but only 5 Mana Crypts. Sometimes ya just got to MSE some mockups.
It is funny to see peoples' reactions when I play a real Mishra's Workshop next to a Tower of the Magistrate paper printout proxy. (I'm working on it! )
Well think of it this way: the price has doubled, but so has the pimp factor (even after figuring in decades of declining and imploding currencies). ;-)
That's great for us who picked them up a while ago but it is certainly no help to him.
I know the EDH boom increased the value of my collection by a few thousand at least... Trying to get in now is rough. Still kicking myself for some of the cards I missed. (Damn you High Markets! :shakefist: )
I have enough Euro lands that my mono-blue and mono-black EDH decks all use the same art (green pack Islands and red pack Swamps). I don't have enough of the windmill Plains though... The only one I went full-art foils was Riku. The rest just got choice pack foils.
If you're going for ABU basic Forests, get FBB German. They're named Wald.

He's managed to avoid having a blue deck until now.
To be fair, he's only on EDH deck, what, number 4?

Already have them here, minus the 15 or so that were in my Valakut deck at the time: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showpost.php?p=6741837&postcount=2389
The ones I'm using for EDH are the red Swamps, red Mountains, and green Islands.

Snow-covered lands are still ugly.
This is my choice:
Not actually a big fan of Gurus. I'm really liking what Jung Park has done though, with Zendikar and the M12 Swamp.
