Mark Globus has a very nice Skullbrair deck for multiplayer use (duh, he designed it) that basically pretends to be G/B yardstuff with a very nice backup plan in beating face with skullbriar.
I'd probably go along this route, use Skullbrair as the backup plan, with maybe 10ish cards dedicated to making him awesome (like rancor and some equipment) and then beat face with him.
That does sound like the most successful route to go. I have seen him as Plan A a few times and it never seems to work out so great.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Skullbriar is a bit prone to being tucked / bounced if you are relying heavily on him. While you can try to do things like have sac outlets something like a Spell Crumple / Hinder still catches him, sends him to the bottom and requires you to tutor into him and replay him as a 1/1. I like him a lot and I wish he was a bit more versatile but it just seems as though there are too many ways for him to go wrong. Also depending upon how many maze effects are in your group it can be a problem. I have seen him get mazed from players it wasnt swinging at to keep him from getting free counters.
I would love to give you a great tip for playing him correctly but sadly I think there is just a little something missing to make him really good. I would love to have seen some evasion / counter protection or something on him but that might be too much to have asked for considering his cost.
Also, I think I am going to bump this to just the regular commander area. You tend to get a bit of a better discussion going there. People expect more decklists in the actual multiplayer area.
