Indeed. Aside from what you listed, our group has had plenty of success running Reflecting Pool (though borderline) and Gemstone Mine. Never gave Undiscovered Paradise much of a second look, but Thran Quarry seems downright awful. I'd like to get Ophiomancer into my 720 cube - thinking about cutting Lifebane Zombie. Here's the full list of black 3 drops:
Bone Shredder
Drana, Liberator of Malakir
Hypnotic Specter
Lifebane Zombie
Liliana, Heretical Healer
Mardu Strike Leader
Phyrexian Rager
Vampire Nighthawk
Master of the Feast
Is that the right cut?
I'd definitely lead with cutting Lifebane Zombie. I don't like hate cards or sideboard-only cards and that one toughness makes him too weak for use without his discard ability. Phyrexian Rager is also pretty underwhelming. Ophiomancer is the first or second best black three drop there is.

Lens is colorless when you don't care (which is very common) and emergency fixing, which I prefer over the inconsistency of Fellwar. I give Idol the edge of Fellwar as well, as being able to swing is pretty cool. At 450 unpowered I currently only run Lens of that bunch, though.

1 - Sifter > Garruk > Vraska. She's really a do nothing and I don't care much for Garruk either. I think I'd need quite a few guild slots to even include Sifter.
2 - Ankh > Claws. I like Claws a lot, but don't believe that Ankh is the cut for it, nor is it better in general. Ankh punishes fixing too well.
3 - Despoiler > Drone, though it depends on how many one drops you want. Off the top of my head, Reaver Drone is the worst 2 power 1 drop that black has. Despoiler is an okay two drop who works well with Pox.
4 - Jori > Mage. For a cost that complicated, I don't want to have to trigger prowess every turn just to break even with Stormfront Pegasus' damage. Being resilient and prowess-able out of bolt range is cool, but Jori presents the opportunity for a lot of value over the length of a game.

So after a period of not playing as much as I'd like, I was adding cards to my cube while neglecting to actually remove things for them. As a result, my cube has ballooned to have about 100 excess cards, so I'm in the process of cutting back down to 450.
So with 450 in mind, how do you guys feel about the white one drops section? How many of these should I be running? I've currently got:

Scrivener > Assassin
Wake the Dead and Twilight's Call are very different. Wake is an etb value reanimation spell, Call is for actually bringing back fatties. I'd personally rather run Wake since I like that kind of reanimation deck more.
Plate > Helm, but neither seems cubable and I see you're not running Loxodon Warhammer in your list, which I'd put miles ahead of either of those.
Lens > Idol, but I'd want both at 600 for sure. I consider them both cubable as low as 450.

Assuming you're already supporting blue devotion, Master > Harbinger > Kira, though I really think I'd want all three. Kira is the most general use one (she saw significant cube play before the blue devotion deck was a thing), but Harbinger can fit into the blink deck and in general I find bounce creatures very strong, plus he has his Grizzly Bear mode for emergencies.
Tamiyo > Geists. I've just never liked Geists' 3 toughness. For one more mana you get a much harder to kill permanent that can do the same thing, plus act as a game-ending threat or just card draw.
Avenger > Harmonize. Not everyone agrees that Avenger is the bomb you want, but he does end the game really well. Harmonize is a decent green card, but it's very unexciting and can be replicated by any other card draw spell in your cube.

Blackcleave Cliffs > Smoldering Marsh
I agree with this, except I think I'd give the edge to Smash over Confluence. If you really like red as a control color Confluence is probably better, but aggro decks love Smash. Taking out an artifact and hitting their face is really sweet, especially if that artifact is a blocker or mana rock that they need to slow you down.

Imp, not close. Convene is only better if you're trying to support aggro madness or something.
Scatter seems far better, though I haven't played with Dissolve.
Research, not especially close. Standstill is too conditional on board sate.
Troll and Tracker are pretty different cards. I'd be inclined to say Ascetic is going to be the better third turn drop much more often.
