This is actually the reason I consider Inkwell for re-inclusion. Design-wise being narrow is also an advantage because you can give the support to very specific decks.
That is a good point. I don't like supporting reanimator to begin with since it requires too many narrow cards but this is a good support card for the archetype.
Nea on Inkwell. His cost is too prohibitive to use outside of reanimator or Tinker decks making it exclusively a cheat into play fatty.
So I don't sound like a broken record and recommend Liliana again how about Makeshift Mannequin? Dance of the Dead should support reanimator better since it's cheaper.
I guess I would rather run Zombie Infestation because it does at least have some small applications outside of reanimator. Buried Alive is almost exclusively a card for reanimator and nothing else which is way too narrow for my tastes.
I think the safe add is Wolfir Avenger but I'd go with Ulvenwald Tracker since the card is more difficult to evaluate. Then if it doesn't work try out the Avenger.
That's what I was leaning towards. I also might be cutting Yosei for Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. However, Decree and Yosei get to live another day because cut for Silverblade is actually going to be Silver Knight. I forgot that card was still even in my cube. So my white changes are going to be
I'd highly recommend finding room for Elesh Norn, that card is such a huge beating. It's only been in since my last update a few months ago and I'm already convinced it's quite a bit better than Yosei.
I like Worldly Tutor the most of those. Strange correctly pointed out the card just continues to improve and I will be reintroducing it into my cube within the next set or 2 unless green gets flooded with good cards.
i agree with this. it's a cute card, but it's not brion's competition. that would be trenches or hedge-mage (who i like a lot).
I wasn't recommending him for this cube since I knew rant wouldn't like him. Strange mentioned that Brion didn't fit his typical Boros decks which is the same thing that happened here so I cut him for a card that I almost always maindeck in my Boros aggro decks.
I think that's a good idea, losing a fixer in each color pair. I don't run the two basic-fetchers, but I probably should, and can see why you would bring them in.
Has Brion Stoutarm really been so good for you that you consider your R/W section too tight to cut a business spell? He didn't fit Boros decks here at all, so I was just wondering if maybe we were playing him wrong or something.
I've been running Goblin Legionnaire as Boros card #5 and he fits that archetype very well. Not a very exciting card but I think he fits the archetype better than Brion.
Lastly, don't get too hung up on the round figure of 500. If including all the right cards means running 498 or 503 cards, that's no problem at all. Same for the sections, the colors need to be the same size obviously but there's no inherent advantage of having a round number for them, nor for the colorless or multicolor section.
This is really excellent advice. Once you get over the idea you have to have a round number it gives you a lot more flexibility to just add and cut cards.
I'm aware of that but I'd love to play a red or white Concentrate in those aggro decks. I guess green aggro can't use the drawn cards as well as those other two colors but that is mostly because it's cards are weaker.
I don't think I've ever cut Harmonize from a green deck and I most often draft UG.
I would not want to play a white or red Concentrate in my aggro deck. Harmonize is a midrange or control card.
I agree with you on Chrome Mox. My 2 cents is Wayfarer > Kami and Keldon Champion > Baboons but the second one is really close. I opted to cut baboons because they are really poor the rare times they miss and the Champion is a bit of a planeswalker assassin. I like Wayfarer more because he offers something more unique to cube and I like to run as many playable tutors as possible.
A 3/3 body for 3 that dodges sorcery speed removal is still very good and I run it in my 450 to good effect. I'd rather cut Bottle Gnomes, but that depends on how you feel your cube balance is on the aggro-control scale.
Other cards that I cut from my list are Ancient Tomb (it rarely had a deck that wanted to play it) and Juggernaut (there are just so many other good 4cc cards, that it often did not make the final forty).
I'd cut any of these 3 before cutting Chimeric Idol.
Agreed, I'd personally cut Juggernaut out of those. There are just so many really good 4cc creatures running around cube nowadays.

I'd rather lose Liliana Vess.

Absolutely. You don't need to get super broken bomb for Tinker to be good, it's just nice to be able to get one if it's available.
