i was thinking of it more as to destroy the lands that small pox didnt but i also agree that you would have to commit to land destruction to fully use it. you can add thoughtseize maybe for more options on what to discard.
i totally forgot about the buried alives and gitaxian probes.
-4 barren moor
+4 gitaxian probe
-2 buried alive
+1 it that betrays
+1 ??
after looking through your list, how does having 4 entombs work for you? it doesnt seem like enough to get stuff from your deck to the graveyard.
and is there another good reanimation target to add? i was thinking of something to stop spells but the only thing i can come with is Thalia, Guardian of Thraben but i dont think that would help the deck at all.
thanks for the advice on what to add and take away.
the only idea i can get for a more control based build is to add reanimator targets that would help with that build because imo there is a core of spells needed that is hard to go around. (discard, reanimation, entomb effects)
i have four buried alives to mostly make sure that i have all my targets in the graveyard to ensure that i could just reanimate something when i needed it. when i was done with it though i just discard it for the undead gladiator effect. i do see the drawbacks of having four because having it when you dont need it is very frustrating.
i have a copy of stitch together mostly as a last ditch option if the game goes too long or if i am unable to get any of the other reanimator spells. i like to use it with putrid imp if i have too many lands in my hand or if i really need to reanimate something. the same goes with victimize as i just use it whenever i have a putrid imp that i dont need or a low counter nishoba. i would like to use it with stuff that has strong come into play effects to try to ignore its drawback of things coming in tapped.
i do need to add newer reanimation targets. i added the ones in the decklist mostly because those were the only things i had at the time.
the only ratio i remember seeing at all is 10:10:10.
any thoughts about the land count because 20 seems like a lot for spells that dont cost that much. im planning on adding more stuff but am not sure what to add.
i cant help you with games 2/3 because i mostly play in a casual format where not much people use sideboards and just play with what they have. i do noticed that when i play against people for multiple games they become more defensive and try to kill my reanimated targets or become more aggresive and try to end the game before i can combo off.
I had the fetchlands randomly lying around so i put them in. I'm thinking of getting jin and griselbrand but don't know what to take out. I also went for a more discard build of control and have a playset of hymns but again i don't know what to take out to put those in.

EDIT:
After reading some more stuff this is what i have planned. should i keep barren moor or just exchange them for lands?
