Innocent Blood comes out a bit in my playgroup. it's a very good common. Sacrificing is very difficult to get around, and any decent black control should be able to wipe your chumps out so it's your indestructible hexproofer getting wiped.
Stain the mind comes out a lot in our playgroup. I find it to be quite devastating. It's especially annoying when your friends know your decks. I'm actually amazed it's modern legal. Maybe I overrate it, but turn 3 or 4 they can not only make you discard (with any look at your hand spell first) but remove cards critical to your strategy.
The 9/11/18 random card of the day is Razorfin Hunter. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
Oh wow! My all time favourite card. The idea of making a ping deck is what got me from "playing someone else's deck" with my friends to buying and collecting cards. It is still my favourite deck and the only one I refuse to run proxies on. Razorfin Hunter is the best card because of its CMC cost. The idea is simply to control the board with pingers!
Some 6-7 years on, as I continue to update it, it has not aged well. Pingers are still 3cmc and creatures basically aren't run these days unless they have some sort of protection. Ah well.
The 9/14/18 random card of the day is Guttersnipe. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
Wow two cards I have built decks around in a few days. What are the odds?
Guttersnipe is obvious: two headed giant!
It is by *far* the most common format I play, so I made a deck around it. It got retired due to complaints of power, it has never lost. Even though it is actually quite slow starting. Anyway, here it is, my "Giant Burn" deck:
Even really after 3 non-basic lands are down it's dynamite. 2 cmc for 6 damage? Red burn is often pure mountains anyway. As far as 2HG goes too... yeesh!

A friend uses it regularly with stuffy doll.
PS. snapping sailback>fungosaur
I've never liked those cards as I hate having a dead card in situations like going up against a black deck, also, I hate sideboarding in casual.
I think it's brutal, but that's just me.
