IDK man the fact that you come here every day to update a thread barely anyone even visits seems like dedication to me. Messing up the date every once in awhile isn't a big deal all things considered.
As for today's card of the day Ribbons of Night is a favorite of mine in peasant cube. Killing a creature and gaining 4 life is good enough but cantriping pushes it over the top imo. It's like the Dimir version of Lightning Helix.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.

Man I didn't check this in awhile and I missed some good cards. As for Amoeboid Changeling my brother uses it in Sliver Overlord EDH. Turn something into a sliver and then steal it with Overlord's ability. This card was even in the sliver premium deck for that very interaction.

Rhox was always my favorite creature with this effect. I always felt like it should be keyworded too but I guess only showing up in green is holding it back.

This card is actually super sick in Edh. Since Banding let's you choose how damage is assigned when you block you can use it for all sorts of stuff. You can negate trample damage by having a trampler assign all of its damage to a creature or you can have like 10 of your 1/1s trade with a 10/10 and you put all their damage on one dude so you get to keep the other ten. You can put like a 6/1 in a band with something like a Fog Bank and you never have to worry about your 6/1 dying. There are tons of interesting things you can do with it when blocking and probably also some stuff you can use it for when attacking. Probably. At the very least it's fun to play it and let your opponents try to figure out what is going to happen.

Seems pretty bad. For the same mana I could just cast Revoke Existence. Maybe if I were playing some sort of enchantress deck and I needed artifact hate? I would probably still just play Stony Silence or Revoke Existence. Maybe in some sort of artifact heavy cube.

Useful sideboard card against bogles in modern maybe? The counter ability is kind of bad given all the other options in the game. The aura swapping seems nifty but i can't really think of much use for it. Could be an interesting way for you to put auras on your.own shroud creatures since moving the auras doesnt target.

Pay 2 to tap the scepter making 5 black, pay 3 to untap the scepter with Nacre Talisman. You've paid 5 mana and gained 5 mana. Rinse and repeat for infinite storm count, when you're storm is high enough just cast Tendrils of Agony for the win. Most convoluted combo ever.
EDIT: Apparently this card is part of a cycle. You could just use Onyx Talisman and cut Painter's Servant out. As a 3 card combo this actually isn't the stupidest thing ever.

Zurgo number 5-8 in tribal orc decks maybe? A 2/2 for R seems pretty good until you factor in that it will almost never be attacking on turn 2 anyways. Still if it had cooler art I would consider it for tribal orcs. Turn 1 Zurgo followed by turn 2 drop 2 of these would give you some pretty respectable damage output.

Unexpectedly Absent wasn't out at the time but that does seem like an awesome call. I like the idea of using dorks + Edric to keep the advantage train rolling as well. I might just draft this deck up again.

I played a Bant colors deck that revolved around putting cards on top of it's owner's library. It seemed really cool but my deck actually had a problem winning. Something like 4 of these, 4 Excommunicate, 4 Temporal Spring, 4 Hinder, 4 Memory Lapse, 4 Lapse of Certainty, 4 Azorious Charm, 4 Primal Command and then some Stoic Angels as my win condition for my control list. It seemed to work just fine until your opponent tried to doom blade her eot. I still think the idea has potential and my execution was just wrong. I'd love to see someone else's top deck control deck.

I actually played a WU tribal soldier deck during Timespiral/Lorwyn/Shadowmoor that ran 4 of these guys in the sideboard. He was absurdly good for getting through Lightning Angel. Nowadays I think it's too overcosted but it is a blue kithkin and a blue soldier so if you were ever making a tribal deck and wanted to include blue you have an option outside of changelings.

Also this card is still a pretty sick EDH general. Grixis are like my favorite EDH colors.
Nacre Talisman
Isochron Scepter with Cabal Ritual on it while you have threshold.
You will also need 5 startup mana.
