Last FNM, I played Storm round-one. Holding Maelstrom Pulse gave me a real warm, fuzzy feeling all game. He finally played Empty the Warrens; I just showed him the Pulse. Scoop.
Full disclosure does require that I had pretty much the same feeling game two drawing Golgari Charm.
Hello everyone! I am working on my decklist for the Grand Prix coming up in November. This is where I am at currently but by no means is final. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
Grixis players have access to about a million ways to deal with enchantments but they rarely make use of them. When I played Grixis, I never left home without Echoing Truth.
Grixis can't destroy enchantments was my point. When they bounce it, they have to counter it to really get rid of it then. Which seems really bad.
Most Grixis players are helpless to a resolved Enchantment and it probably wasn't worth mentioning that they don't have to be. I've beaten Grixis Delver with Pia's Revolution in Affinity and it's just a hoot to cycle Mox Opals until they just can't stand it any more. But I digress. . .
I agree that Trophy isn't good against everything and Burn is one of decks where i would rather have Decay or Terminate. Against Scapeshift it has potential to be good if you manage to kill Valakut and then Surgical it but even this doesn't guarantee you a win. Like Delver you don't want more than 3.
Burn will likely be hellbent before they get three lands in play so Assassin's Trophy isn't bad after a few turns. If you're dead by then all your cards are bad.
It would feel bad to fix a one-lander for them by using a Trophy for creature removal, but later it might be the worst idea you've ever had, especially if they've invested heavily into Prowess and already have at least two lands in play. Nearly any other one or two mana removal spell will feel better for their creatures but that will always be the case in any match-up.
I would certainly Trophy every Sacred Foundry in sight; they usually play only two and they never seem to pack a Plains. If they are rocking G as well, I might shoot the Stomping Ground if I had nothing better to do and they were playing Kommand.
Wouldn't side in choke against spirirts. Between Botanical sanctum, aether vial, mana dorks and CoCo, I can't see them being scrwed. Plus, you won't have the time to cast choke anyway. I think its similar with Bant Knightfall.
I could see it against Grixis DS, as their only blue sources are shockland or basic land based, and grixis cant deal with enchantments. So I would try it. Chances are you screw them in other colours too. But its best against control for sure.
I would play 2 surgicals right now, yes.

I mostly didn't cast souls. I treated it as a black card. usually it got cascaded or discarded. it would be ok to run it without godless shrine to be honest but just put it in just incase I got stuck with it. only have 2 games where I had to cast the souls.

Call me crazy, but I will probably diversify a little just because of the popularity of Meddling Mage. I may put the fourth Assassin's Trophy in the side-board but I'm on Ghost Quarter-Rock, not Jund, and I have a burning hatred for Tron.
Is anyone else interested in Experimental Frenzy? We used to play Chandra which was 4 mana for 1 card per turn, this is 4 mana for several cards per turn. And Jund has a lot of ways to manipulate the top deck to dig past a second land for some truly absurd card advantage, with Liliana the Last Hope, Grim Flayer, and Fetchlands.
I think it's the sort of card that could make for a very powerful 1 or 2 of. For example, it runs away with the game in a board stall situation or against control.
It seems to me one would want discard abilities to dump lands or other junk to use this. Only abilities from permanents could be used and folks are skimping on Lily these days.
Leyline of the void seems like the best answer to the graveyard decks, is Bob the reason I haven’t been seeing it in lists?
It can be bad along with Bob but it's more because the card itself is just dead draw or at least a lot worse if you draw it later in the game. In Mardu for example you have Faithless Looting to discard it (as you can do for other useless cards) while there's nothing like that in Jund so it will sitting there in hand doing nothing.
Typical Jund decks may not have as many was to discard dead cards as some other deck, but it does have Lily and often has Brutality. Jund can also play Faithless Looting. I'm not recommending the latter or really arguing that one should play Leyline, but one could and if one felt he needed to, the appropriate changes to make it work could be discovered.
I think this would be too much tension on mana. You cant really crack clues, play pkns and sac the thopter tokens at the same time.
You would simply not get full potential out the cards in my mind.
Well, I'm just talking about bombing one's opponents with the clues. Any artifact will do, right?
Has anyone ever played Pia and Kiran Nalaar and Tireless Tracker together? It's not the sort of combo to actually build around but how much fun would it be to pull it off once?

I don't have much to add, I just thought I'd format this to make it easier to look at. Trust me, no one is going through that wall of text you posted.
Someone is going to tell you that you need Liliana, the Last Hope in there, so it might as well be me.

A deck could be built to abuse Experimental Frenzy but I don't think that deck is much like typical mid-range Jund.
Still, what would it hurt to try it out? Let us know if it flies.

I bet I can guess: Increasing the odds of hitting a good Cascade. It would probably be nuts to play a set of Kommand without a set of BBE.
