Hey guys just curious about UWR's match up vs merfolk and Pod decks (w/ melira combo), how do you plan your play against them? What do you usually keep and what not? I am really interested in playing this deck as I see it fun to play with. I'ma very big fan of Saint Traft. Thanks guys appreciate your response.
not totally sure about pod, but merfolk is pretty good unless they have some insane draw that lets them dump their whole hand of lords onto the table by turn 3. Having so much spot removal lets you machine gun their lords pretty easily before they have a chance to pump them out of bolt range.
Has anyone thought of adding in Steel of the Godhead? It can target any creature in the deck, and when it can be put on a geist it basically wins the game.
I've also lowered some of the burn to 3 of's in favor of more counters, such as spell pierce and snare. Spell pierce has been a real star as it is amazing on the play 1st turn, great for their early tapout for a planeswalker bomb, and really awesome to wait for a turn 4 geist with spell pierce protection from counters.
As after being frustrated with how useless delver has been I decided to shift the deck to a more control-midrange build. I don't own any Colonnades, which is why their aren't any there. The addition of Vial, although helpful, is questionable. I'm not really sure which direction to take the deck in. I've thought of adding more Elecrtolyze or maybe even restoration, but I have no clue what I would cut for it.

Yah, its to deal with drawing a late game vial that is basically a dead draw.
I did have scepter main board, but it is horrible against lists running abrupt decay, hence the sideboard.
Any thoughts on the vial?
