I just thought of it as the black natural order or a cute nod to kamigawa reanimation spells, but that it found them instead of unburrying them and it felt like entomb + or a combo piece than anything.
The card clearly seems like it was made for abuse but so do a million cards here, I voted for it based on cuteness. What's the biggest splash you can make with this card? Something game ending in legacy? This might be a more fair Standard card at 4cc and with a flashback (maybe involving sacrificing a guy?). Pushing comes into play abilities had had some consequences on design it seems. I wish wizards would just let us have nice spells back.
It's the sort of card that I look at once, I feel overwhelmed and wary and proceed to lose a bunch of games to in limited.
Wooo lots of text and off colour abilities!

I'm totes not being sarcastic. I guess I often seem ungenuine but I think that's just because I'm sorta both duplicitous and happy-go-lucky. I think I was trying to be genuine in that post but in a way that I thought would be sorta unsettling.
I really did think that card had the mointain type. I didn't really like too many other cards better that week they were all kinda loosely interesting besides the ones I picked and I was excited because I thought references to those old dragons would be kinda fun. I do hate things that make 3-4 colour control decks better but I wouldn't mind a land you could tutor up in cube with a Wooded Foothills to make your RDW deck be able to sneak in Electrolyze and Ajani Vengeant for free!
@MDenham: What does a hydra deck look like? Someone went simic mechanic happy or just a standard get to 5cc fast style green deck?
I like the new angle black green has with counters. Some interaction with -1/-1 might be cool! You could make a scavenge ooze + hydra deck that plays duress style spells to keep it's hydras doing their big dumb thang!
I mean no offense to Antny directly, or the people who've voted for him, and I know it's a possibility people are just unaware they exist, but Alara had a set of five lands that merely entered tapped and unconditionlly produced three different colors. So... to see a rare land that does that, but also has restrictions being voted for just seems a little odd to me.
Bleh, I'm really sorry, it is different, and it has the flavor of Numot the Devastator, in a way, but it's just the first card in long, long while that I can't fully comprehend why it's getting multiple votes.
Dude I thought it was a mountain! I totally would not have voted for it if I had read it properly. I feel you buddy. Sorry for letting you down. I kinda think understanding the voting or the proclivities of the proletariat are really beyond me.
Void Nothing's Card is far and way my favourite this week even if it's kinda not strong. It just goes to show how bad the green red precedence is for cards that aren't about doing damage or attacking.
Like most of the time you'd really rather have just a red removal spell right guys?
The question is: Is a consistently available +1/+1 worth both a card and mana?
Manycookies asks us cool questions by example and I think that is one of the more neat things about card creation.
I rather like that you get to decide if you want to wait to cast something important in your hand before hitting this, and that it is easy to cast just one turn off drop with an important spell since it only costs 1. What a strong spell.
It's so cool that after all this time we can still be excitedly thinking up more broken things for blue to do.
Rudyard's card today really reminds me of fact or fact or fiction or murmurs from beyond, which I like, except that it costs one. I get the feeling most people will end up making you discard the other copy if ancestral reckoning you drew because they don't want you casting that again.
It's funny I thought the new mechanics made limited into a way more interesting game, at least in gtc where phasing was really important. Old Ravnica drafting was great but had little to do with the silly mechanics. But man is when you play a creature or knowing when or when not to play things for little bits of value great in post gtc return limited. I guess I feel like there were a couple flops and the cards with the mechanics could have been more pushed for standard play but that doesn't feel as important to me as an interesting limited format.
Also does koopa's illusion maker card go infinite this time around?
