With a gesture, Faust's rotting zombie shambles in front of the Champions strike, protecting Athy from harm, and dragging the helpless champion down into the Abyss with him. Another gesture gives life to a pile of limbs, a mockery of life, who trades blows with the arsonist. However, unlike the arsonist which drops to the ground unmoving, the zombie stands straight back up, grabbing hold of one severed arm and popping it back into place. Now then, where were we?
A cut... nothing more.
Faust focuses on the unexpected sting as he kills the Keldon, willing it to go away, and in a few moments he was able to ignore it. He snaps his attention back onto the battle, and sees their enemies number dwindle.
He gathers more mana around him, adding to his resources, but otherwise does nothing. Patience is key. The Keldons don't seem to be the type to wait and think. This will be their undoing.
Faust sees the Champion directing the Keldon's attention to Athy, unfortunately he had already drawn upon his mana reserves. He hopes she is able to handle them herself.
Turning to the lone Keldon charging at him, he sends one of his goblins to take the hit. As the goblin collapses to the ground, it reaches out with the last of its strength to grasp at the Keldon, rooting it in spot, where Faust was able to take it out with a quick horizontal swipe.

A sting from the new Keldons alerted Faust to them. Another wave of Keldons. But we seemed to manage the last one just fine. Hopefully this one will be just as easy.
Calling forth a pit of flesh, he draws more mana onto his blade and sends it to animate two more goblins from the scroll he received. The arcane words drips off his tongue like acid.

Even though he was none too happy that there were a number of large frenzied looking barbarians rushing straight towards him, a part of Faust was glad that they had decided to focus on all of them at once, and not just one person.
He orders his creatures to move in front of the Keldons, the goblin standing in the way of the berserker, the shade in front of the arsonist. As the creatures tear each other apart, the goblin leaves a miasma of decay, which seems to weaken the berserker. However is still stands, intent on reaching its target. Swinging his arm, he slashes the Keldon across the chest, finally dropping the warrior. Moving his head he notices the firebomber about to crush him, yet there was nothing he can do about it.

Faust barely registers the three figures near town hall. He was more concerned at the group of Keldons who has noticed them and were now preparing to charge.
He calls upon the mana of the swamps, then extinguishes the life of one of his spells to gain more energy. This energy he used to create a specter of despair, the memory of what had once been a living person.

And this is the part where things go wrong...
Faust quickly dismounts off the carriage, ripping his Cross off his neck as he does so, his eyes glowing just a shade darker. An orb of dark energy appears in the hand with the Cross, the other searching amongst his robes until he found one of the scrolls given to him earlier. Now seems just a good a time as any to try this out.
He rips the air in front of him with the mana infused cross, reading from the scroll as he does so. A goblin with decaying flesh and dripping wet slime blunders out of the rip and into the world. Nice. A little creepy but still nice.
Having summoned his creature he looks around at the destruction racking his mind as to what he knows of these Keldons. Red mana barbarians who pillage and live as if they were still in the stone age. They seem tough, strong enough to stay standing after a few attacks. And they managed to burn this town well enough. Better be careful.
Their belief in their own purity has corrupted them.
Faust waves his hand a little to politely refuse Xiras's offer for a fan then muses over this information. It seems Sera really was trying to do good encouraging peace and order.
He turns back to the matters at hand and asks the sisters, What should we expect once we get there? Is Neld a magic-user?
Ahh the comfort of luxury.
Faust smiles contently, basking in the glow of what remained of the setting sun. Only four days of travelling, and in a carriage too. No sore feets at the end of this trip. Now that you mention it, there is something that's been bugging me. You mentioned that you were training to become Priestesses of... Sera? I'm unfamiliar with the name.
This wasn't totally true, he recognizes it from somewhere. No doubt from somewhere along his travels.
Faust accepts the scrolls with delight, his eyes lighting up, eager like a young child on christmas day. He couldn't wait to try them out. We don't need more. This will be enough.
He stashed the scrolls safely away in his satchel, before stepping into line behind the sisters, ready to test his power.
Faust enters the office glad to see that Kira has returned safely. No apologies needed. Sometimes you just need some time alone and think things through.
He tentatively moves towards the chairs, checking with his hands that it was solid, and not some kind of shadow illusion or something. Sitting down, he notes the scrolls on the table and felt a pique of interest as to what they might do.
Faust yawns, rubs the sleep from his eyes then stretches his limbs. He reaches out for his satchel, tucking it into the folds of his cloak, then grabs his Cross and chains it back around his neck. Moving out of the room he sees Xiras looking for him. I'm here. TIme to do our work.
You too.
Faust rushes into his room and lunges onto the bed, enjoying the soft, fluffy mattress. Taking a moment to remove his satchel and Cross, he strolls around the room looking at one thing or another. Eventually he crawls back into bed and lets his mind drift, dozing off after a moment.
Faust wasn't feeling particularly sleepy however he knew that he should rest, in case another incident like the last one happens again. He stands and gestures to the Thrull. Lead away.

Hopefully Neld wouldn't have hired any more mages and this will all go smoothly. He expects reality to prove him wrong.
