**Doggett eyed him up and down and held up the stone.**
Doggett - This is the Oathkeeper. It will glow scarlet if the holder of it lies. Any oath who freely take an oath while holding it are bound to its magic and will suffer instant and harsh retribution should they willing break or ignore that oath. To get the jo you must, while holding it, swear tha your intent here is solely as guards for hire, that you mean no harm, mental, physical or spiritual to anyone here nor will you allow any such harm to befall them if it is within your power to prevent it. Nor will you substitute your own judgment for what constitutes harm in place of mine.
**Doggett somehow managed to say that all without breath or change of expression.**
Doggett - As for payment, your reward will be a base of 200 gold. Should unforseen dangers occur and anyone proves themselves particularly deserving of a bonus, that will be negotiable. If you are uninterested in gold, we do have certain rare items back at the school, that can be substituted. We reserve the right to claim any items of interest uncovered to recovered during this trek, but most that we do will be added to the list of payment items.
Sherwood - ...the man is a bloody machine.
Dogget - If only. If those terms are agreeable, all I request is for you to state your name and applicable skills as well as your word upon the Oathkeeper.
Tall Elegant Woman - I am Vice Headmaster Saleyoni by the way....if anyone cares...
Dogget - They don't. After your information and name are given, feel free to mingle amongst the other applicants, chaperones and/or students.

**Most of the adults were gathered around a trio of official looking people.
One was a tall, fit man with short spiky brown hair and downturned eyes. His features were long and without blemish, with a strong brow and high, sharp cheekbones. He was dressed in leather armor lined with plates of bone and carried a thick wooden rod as his side maybe 2' long.
The next was a woman, tall and elegant, of obvious elfin descent. He skin was pale and perfect, with slender limbs and neck and waistlength hair of silver. She wore blue robes, spectacles, and a diadem of ivory.
The third was a massive burly man, easily 8' tall and dressed all in assorted furs. He had a giant, bushy black beard and shaven head, his features large and kindly.**
----------------------------
**Several of the youngest children started towards the smaller man but stopped and just avidly watched him, or more accurately, watched the metal doggy.**

**In the center of the park a large group had assembled, children ranging from 9 to 17, men in armor and mages in robes, all milling about, talking and waiting.**

**In the very center of Epicrin sits Bonfire Park, the largest and most populous of the city parks. Flanked by the Peacekeepers and Machinists central Guildhouses on the west and east respectively, the towering Spire, home of Epicrins government offices, borders it to the north. To the south is incredibly wide central street of The Thoroughfare, which splits and then wraps around the park on all sides to form the city square.
The park itself is a lined with a large ornamental wrought iron fence, with gates at the cardinal directions. The center of the park is a vast, well manicured field spotted with picnic areas, playgrounds and a couple bandstands. Ringing the field are the gardens, countless flower boxes filled with untold varieties of blooms. Ringing the gardens are the arboretum, a serpentining path encircling the park through dense examples of most every tree in Bakara.
Everywhere the people of Bakara wander and enjoy the beauty captured here, in the spot where Solumin freed the city to grow into what it has become.**
