How do UWr list at pro tour? U think this atchetype still be viable? What changes u think we need to do?
19 of 29 UWR decks made it to day 2. They are listed as UWR Flash, which I am assuming means they lean on Resto, Snap, and Clique.

I am planning on 3 Resto Angels, 4 Snaps, and 4 Geists plus either a thundermaw or stormbreath (not dropping $50 on Cliques right now). What other spells are you running?
Obviously I need to add a few more, but so far I think it is solid. I will probably be adding 2x Stony Silence and maybe Rest in Peace.
Anger is for aggro Zoo, Verdict is for Big Zoo. I am thinking Big Zoo is definitely going to be a thing, with the biggest problem I can see being Loxodon Smiter. I figure having 4 Paths will help (well...8 paths if we are counting Snappy).
What do you think about Boros Charm in this deck? I am thinking about running one MB and one SB. Targeting Geist, this would create 2 Angels, correct? Seems like it would be good to punch through. Cyclonic Rift is to move things for Geist. Staticaster is for Fae.
Well I bought 4 Geists today...hope they bring $80 worth of joy to my life...
I personally just dropped Geist of Saint Traft from my list. I switched to a pure flash version of the deck and so far have enjoyed the way it plays. I'm thinking I'll keep Geists in the SB though (2 or 3, not sure yet).

What creatures do you run in a Flash list? Resto angel and Snapcaster obviously, but what else?
Ok so after dabbling with budget decks for a bit (Mono U Tron and Mono Black Control) I have decided to start 'investing' in a proven deck that fits my playstyle. I decided that UWR Mid is that deck.
So I am going to be bugging you guys with dumb questions for the next while. I have read through a bit of the thread, watched GP Prague and tutorials, so I kind of know what I am talking about, but probably not. A couple of things about the deck I am building:
- This will be a 'fetch-less' deck. I just can't drop that much on fetchlands. Hopefully a reprint comes around. Yes I know that will make this deck not as consistent, but oh well.
- I am probably not running Vendillion Clique until the price drops, and Cryptic Command for the same reason.
That said here are a couple questions:
1) I see everyone (pretty much) runs 4 Geists. Is that ideal being that he is legendary?
2) Has anyone tried Wurmcoil Engine in this deck? Maybe even a 1 of mainboard? I feel like with aggro being more of a thing, if you can control the boardstate till mid game and drop the Wurm it is GG if you have counter back up.
3) I am planning on a 2/2 split between Mana Leak and Dissolve. I feel like I will want a hard counter later, and since I don't want to pay for any Cryptics yet I figured this would be ok. Thoughts?
Everything else in the deck I am planning on doing according to the primer.

1) Geist is just that good and you really want to jam 4 into the deck. Against some decks it can be bad but some times he is just a free win where someone doesn't have an answer.
2) 6 mana is a lot where batterskull acts similar and is a little more resiliant and doesn't get eaten by path and other things.
3) disolve. no. Its too much mana in this format. Remand is what you want in this deck for a counterspell. mana leak is passible and played in this deck but three mana counterspells like dissolve aren't what you want. counterflux is the only good three mana counter we might want to play as it says no and there's nothing anyone can say. Then at 4 mana obviously cryptic.
So you think drop both of the Dissolves for 1 more Remand and 1 Spell Snare? I like the multiple uses of Izzet Charm, but if that is a dumb move just let me know.

Here are the MB spells I am looking at right now:
2x Remand
2x Izzet Charm
1x Counterflux
1x Dissolve (I will replace this with a second Counterflux when I get ahold of one)
4x Lightning Bolt
4x Lightning Helix
4x Path to Exile
2x Detention Sphere (Lolwut? I want to try it. I think it might be ok).
Ok so how does this look, keeping in mind I am not going to add Cryptic Commands? Thoughts on the counterspell suite?
