I used to play this in a 'stealing' deck with Bazaar Trader and Greater Gargadon.
But WotC printed a lot of slightly better reprints that I had to cut the original treason.
I still play this card. Green may have more efficient creatures at three mana today, but the flashback is still very relevant, as green always wants to keep going.

Why would any merfolk be up in the one place where the water freezes?
A valid question! I guess they're cold-blooded, and not all the water is frozen. Still, wet skin/gills + freezing air sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Well. Artic or tropic. The water temperature at the bottom of the ocean is always 4 degrees Celsius.

I have this as a 4-of in my domain deck and my 5 color fog deck.
A trap card, in my opinion.
Sorcery.
When you have five different basic land types, there are much more fun spells to play.
When you don't have domain, it is significantly worse than lightning bolt, magma jet and/or lightning helix. Not to mention the completely obsolete Incinerate.
Or any XR-spell.

"Acceleration from three to four mana; mana fixing; costs three mana, effective cost is two mana. This card isn't as good as rampant growth, you pay one more and get one untapped land in return, but what are you going to do with one land on turn three ?"

Quite happy that Hijack got printed.
Hijack
Sorcery, 1RR (3)
Gain control of target artifact or creature until end of turn. Untap it. It gains haste until end of turn.
It only took WotC five years after I suggested it in the Single Card Ideas by you thread.
