With respect to my latest card (Exert Imagination), may it be that people underestimate the power of filtering the top card of one's library at instant speed and for little mana? Yes, it's card disadvantage but potentially may generate better card quality (i.e. chances of getting the card that you need) than any other 1 mana spell.
I guess that a version without the card disadvantage would have been better received? (Something along the lines of "Look top card, then put it in your hand unless you pay :sympb:. If you do, put it on bottom instead and repeat",) but I have the nagging feeling that version would be too powerful. Maybe as sorcery? Or is the whole idea unsalvageable in your opinion? Let me know!
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
I liked and voted for Rithaniel's land but I seriously believe it needs to either be Legendary or enter the battlefield tapped. I'm trying to decide whether landing a signet turn 1 is worse than landing a Solemn Simulacrum (or any 4CMC artifact) in turn two with two of these lands.

Well, Dream Thrush, Reef Shaman, Sea Snidd, Tideshaper Mystic, and Grixis Illusionist all lead me to believe that the card would be more blue than red, if anything. Red would rather blow the land up, actually. In fact, it needs to hit nonbasics and turn them into mountains specifically to feel red at all. As for the counter part, I thought about it, but it would have messed with the elegance of the card. In all honesty, I think it's easy enough to keep track of that kind of information, and the lack of elegance on one side would have hurt more than the potential memory issue on the other.
But see how all the cards you mention transform the land into any land. Red is the only colour that transforms specifically into mountains. Also, I believe that memory issues should be addressed over elegance. Maybe you think you would have no trouble, but imagine two young players trying to remember the stuff, especially if the game goes long. Imagine a commander game, in which there are dozens of lands in the field at a time. It's just begging for trouble and making easier for bad players to cheat on the less experienced.

Bad wording but cool enough card for me to vote for it.
I also wanted to vote for Rhitaniel's but it needed not to be Blue (IMHO.) Also, I believe it needs a way to signal the lands he's changing such as (T: Put an illusion counter on target land. Lands with illusion counters on them are mountains. When ~ leaves the battlefield, temove all illusion counters from all lands)
And philosophile's card would be really cool as an instant.

Socrates: I loved the name and concept of your card, but the card itself is a rather weak, conditional card that would likely see very few play. With that name I'd have made a split card:
Wear3WW
Instant
Put an equipment card from your hand onto the battlefield attached to a creature you control.
////// TearR
Instant
Destroy all equipment cards attached to target creature.
Atrius: Awesome flavour, but since black has no way to deal with artifacts, that card basically shuts down a whole archetype.
Altaurus: I liked your card until I realized it was so much worse than Sakura-Tribe Elder that the +1/+1 wasn't compensation enough.
