Leybuck's Champion2RRGG
Creature - Elf Barbarian (R)
Haste
Whenever Leybuck's Champion attacks, you may have it fights all creatures your opponent control. If you do, those creature can't block this turn. When taunting is done by the fiercest combatant Leybuck has, it turns into bloodbath and mushy pile of flesh.
6/6
iiw: futuristic goblin card
Heroism level:
Noble sacrifice; the fight looked OP until I realised it was probably going to die and was thus just 6 damage to everything; something like a good Street Spasm.
Arelis, the Young Lion3RW
Legendary Creature — Human Soldier {R}
First strike
When Arelis enters the battlefield, choose one —
• Put three 1/1 red Warrior creature tokens onto the battlefield.
• Creatures you control gain haste and lifelink until end of turn. Fateful hour — If you have 5 or less life, choose both.
4/4
IIW: A card to solve a specific problem you have with Magic.
Heroism level: Cheatyface levels of big damn hero by incorporating the Big Damn Hero mechanic. Still, I didn't say anything against it. Power looks rather balanced, ranging from standard bomb to explosive life-saver.
Reymal Cavalry2GW
Creature - Human Knight (R)
Flash
When Reymal Cavalry enters the battlefield, prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to creatures you control this turn. Always in the nick of time.
4/4
IIW: frog tongues
Heroism level:
I think flash really blows this power level out of the water. Not only is it an alpha protector, it becomes the biggest blowout in combat (while providing its own 4/4 body to extend the blowout). Definitely powerful.
Mark XIV - Chimera Sentinel6
Artifact - Jaeger (M)
Indestructible
Tap two untapped creatures you control: Mark XIV - Chimera Sentinel becomes an 7/7 artifact creature for as long as those creatures remain tapped on the battlefield.
As long as Mark XIV - Chimera Sentinel is a creature, it has trample and "Creatures can't attack you."
IIW: Shrieking skulls will shock your soul; seal your doom tonight
Heroism level:
I don't think this needs to say "on the battlefield". I like the Pacific Rim flavour, but I think "creatures can't attack you" is a bit of a stretch; maybe just having vigilance and being an indestructible blocker?
Knollridge Valiant4RW
Creature — Giant Warrior (R)
Vigilance 1RW, T: The next time a source of your choice would deal damage this turn, that damage is dealt to that source’s controller instead. The strength of a giant with the heart of a kithkin.
5/5
IIW: Card names containing !.
Heroism level:
Literally a "big" hero? Hah. Effect is solid; card seems a little underpowered though; given that the redirect is telegraphed, it's "kind of" play-around-able, although it does make combat a downright mess. Interesting.
Thaddius11
Legendary Artifact Creature — Construct [M]
Trample
When Thaddius enters the battlefield, if you cast it from your hand, destroy all other nonland permanents. "NOW YOU FEEL PAIN!"
11/11
IIW: A card from Hearthstone made into magic, or vice versa
Or if you haven't played hearthstone, do something that's never been done before
Heroism level:
thaddius doesn't do that in hearthstone or wow you liar.
Sanctifying Abolisher1W Creature - Human Cleric U
Creatures dying don't cause abilities to trigger. "The power of Avacyn compels you!"
2/2
Heroism level:
I'm not sure how big damn heroic this guy is. Card's a pretty good hatebear (I feel like I've seen it somewhere before) but not heroic enough for me.
IIW: A card from Hearthstone made into magic, or vice versa
I'd add a secondary IIW to that, not everyone has played Hearthstone. That said...
Vindication Flame2WB
Sorcery (R)
As an additional cost to cast Vindication Flame, sacrifice a creature.
Vindication Flame deals X damage to each creature you don't control, where X is the sacrificed creature's power. "I have caused untold grief and unforgivable suffering for my clan. But perhaps I can play the hero in these final moments." -Romus the Second
Heroism level:
Name being a throwback to Vindicate? Seems like it's trying too hard to be a shoutout; card's not really that white. It's more of a red or black card, depending on what type of removal (-X/-X would be black, X damage would be red); I'm not really convinced it's Vindicate.
Underworld Savior 2BBW
Creature - Zombie Warrior (R)
At your end step, you may sacrifice Underworld Savior. If so, flip a coin and return a target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield. If the coin lands on heads, return Underworld Savior to the battlefield under your control. It gains haste until the end of the turn.
3/6
IIW: Anti aggro cards
Heroism level:
"End step" ... "gains haste". I feel like you originally had two plans with this card that merged into one and you forgot to remove part of them. Otherwise, the ability is pretty nice (bit weird on a Zombie, admittedly), fairly heroic. Flavour is nice.
Rodai, the Swan of Areia2WWW
Legendary Creature — Loxodon Soldier (M)
Vigilance, indestructible
If a source would deal damage to you and/or one or more other permanents you control, instead prevent that damage and put a -1/-1 counter on Rodai. 1W, Remove a -1/-1 counter from Rodai: Put a 1/1 white Soldier creature token onto the battlefield.
6/6
IIW: the other side of the mirror
Heroism level:
Huuuge swing, such a huge swing. Really powerful if your opponent doesn't have a lot of power on the board. Floods your board while protecting it and because of vigilance can just swing in by itself while you are careful with damage dealt to your creatures.
Flying, protection from black and green.
Infallible Martyr can't have -1/-1 counters placed on it.
When Infallible Martyr dies, if you have any poison counters on you, you lose all poison counters.
5/5 "The Five Suns will shine on a pure Mirrodin again. Free of infection, free of corruption." -Karn
IIW: Halloween
Heroism level:
Seems a little ham-fisted. I mean, we already have Melira, Sylvok Outcast taking up the role of "hard counter infect". This guy seems kinda meh as a result, to be honest, even though he's a flying monster at the same time. Not worth of mythic, I'd think.
Unproven Champion1WW
Creature - Human Soldier (R)
First Strike, Vigilance 9W: Monstrosity 5.
Unproven Champion's monstrous ability costs x less to cast, where X is the greatest power among creatures your opponents control.
2/2
IIW: Defeat the Eldrazi
Heroism level:
Monstrosity as a keyword has so much meaning attached to it I'm not sure if it's the best fit here. Card is cool though, flavourful - David v. Goliath type deal.
Elspeth's Honor3W
Enchantment (R)
Having 0 or less toughness doesn't cause creatures you control to die.
Having 0 or fewer Loyalty counters doesn't cause planeswalkers you control to desert. "Forget her. She has lost her will, her fire. Let me help you and we can escape this miserable prison together." Xenagos coaxed. Ajani shook his mane. "She's a good soldier. She simply needs to be reminded why she fights."
iiw: fix what's broken
Heroism level:
I don't like it, because at first glance it's "WOW" then you realise that damage still kills everything and it's actually just a kind of awful Infest hoser. Seems kind of weak, not super duper heroic. The flavour text is kinda nice though.
Elzarac, Utmost Champion2WBG
Legendary Creature - Demon Knight (M)
Tapped creatures you control have exalted.
Tap an untapped creature you control: ~ gains your choice of flying, lifelink, deathtouch, trample, vigilance, or indestructible until end of turn. "Those who scorned me as a tyrant now bow to me as their hero."
4/4
IIW: Strive
Heroism level:
That is a lot of abilities, and they're surprisingly balanced as a result. Quite flavourful and he does actually feel quite mythic.
Aristide, the New Moon2GGG
Legendary Creature - Elf Druid (M)
Whenever Aristide, the New Moon becomes tapped, regenerate each Elf you control. t: Add GGG to your mana pool. You may cast Elf spells this turn as though they had flash.
5/6
IIW: Elves!
Heroism level:
Abilities feel a little messy and disjointed; shame you can't regenerate stuff you flash in with his mana ability. Regeneration any time can be a little unintuitive, especially for newer players, so I'd advise to be wary of it. Otherwise it is pretty cool, although he more lends himself to helping heroics with the flash rather than being the heroics.

Kalmurai, the Dragon Storm3RR
Legendary Enchantment (M)
At the beginning of your upkeep, search your library for a Dragon card with converted mana cost less than or equal to the number of lands you control, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
Dragon creatures you control have haste and trample.
I feel like everyone tried to make too many complicated 3+ colour cards with all kinds of abilities. I was expecting more simple stuff like Mystic Retrieval or stuff that can tickle my Vorthos sense with colour swapping shenanigans.
Couple of notes about my judging: I didn't like a card if it was awful without being in the right colours (ie. basically a two colour card) or if it made no sense to be in the first colour.
Steward of Gudul1G
Creature - Human Druid (U)
Whenever Steward of Gudul attacks, add UB to your mana pool. Until end of turn, that mana doesn't empty from your mana pool as steps and phases end.
2/1
IIW: What did Tarkir's dragons look like?
Smooth, pretty elegant. Somewhat strong (extremely potent turn 3) but I imagine the inability to attack comfortably ind the midgame makes up for it.
Grisly Bear1G
Creature - Bear (C)
Whenever you cast a spell, you may pay (W/B). If you do, each opponent loses 1 life and you gain that much life.
2/2
IIW: Return to Gatecrash
Can you spell "kludge"? Because this is both Kludge and Syndic of Tithes. I mean, I love dumb puns as much as the next guy, but it tithe ain't even grisly.
Dread MissionaryWW
Creature - Human Cleric(U) T: Each other creature you control gets +1/+1 until end of turn. 2BB, Sacrifice Dread Missionary: Creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn.
2/2
IIW: nonred coinflip cards
Serious mana costs going from WW straight to BB - gonna feel bad a lot of the time even if it's balanced. Interesting mirror of the abilities.
Container of Energy 3UU
Creature - Human Wizard (R) 3W Creatures you control get +1/+1 until the end of the turn. 3B Creatures your opponents control get -1/-1 until the end of the turn.
2/3
IIW: Anti Aggro cards
...why is this blue? I'm not seeing the flavour in it besides "it's a wizard". It does nothing as a mono blue card (it's downright awful) and isn't even really good until you have all three colours. Power level seems a little strange; area pump isn't quite on the same level as area weakening but they're costed the same regardless.
Elric, Master Huntsman1GG
Legendary Creature - Elf Archer (R) R, t: ~ deals 2 damage to target creature. W, t: Tap target creature. B, t: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature. Different arrows for different game.
2/3
IIW: 4 color commanders
For some reason, "tap target creature" just seems a little weaker than the other abilities... At 1GG, that's gonna cause some feelbads to cast and activate what you need. Otherwise, it's an interesting battlemage for sure.
Maim and StitchXBR
Instant (R)
Choose one — Choose X target creatures. When those creature die this turn, return them to the battlefield under your control; or Maim and Stitch deals X damage to each creature and each player.
Entwine U
IIW: behind the glass
#ohbaby. That's is serious Vorthos hitting right there. Potentially a lot of power on the entwine for only U (but I guess entwine was always fairly cheap). Going from Pyroclasm to Mind Control (in a very Grixis way) for U is really cool. Only problem is that the challenge was "non-gold" cards... This would've won if it was mono black (with -X/-X instead of damage).
Incarcerate2U
Enchantment — Aura (C)
Enchant creature
When Incarcerate enters the battlefield, if W was spent to cast it, tap enchanted creature.
Enchanted creature doesn’t untap during its controller’s untap step.
IIW: Big versions of usually small things.
Clever, simple Claustrophobia variant. Maybe a little weak, but I've never been good at rating difficulty to cast.
Dragonclaw's VisionU
Sorcery (R)
Kicker 1R and/or 1G
When you cast Dragonclaw's Vision, you may copy it if it was kicked.
Draw two cards, then discard two cards unless Dragonclaw's Vision was kicked twice.
Helmsmasher's RoarW
Instant (R)
Kicker 2R and/or 2B
Gain 4 life. If Helmsmasher's Roar was kicked, it deals damage equal to the amount of life you've gained this turn to a creature. If Helmsmasher's Roar was kicked twice, instead it deals that much damage to each creature you don't control.
SURRAAAAAK: Interesting Careful Study variant. The mechanics aren't mixed very well; this one could do better just with the Volver format (R: Copy; [/mana]G[/mana]: Draw)
ZURGOOOO: I like this one a bit more, although it's quite pushed. It's a fair bit stronger than Warleader's Helix since it can be cast in two colours with the potential to be an overloaded Mizzium Mortars. A lot of power with the flexibility.
Polyvolver1U
Creature - Volver (R)
Kicker 1(R/W) and/or (B/G)
If Polyvolver was kicked with its 1(R/W) kicker, it enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it and with first strike.
If Polyvolver was kicked with its (B/G) kicker, it enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it and with deathtouch.
1/1
iiw: 1 top down card & 1 bottom up card
First strike and deathtouch are not the most fun abilities to put on a card... especially when you can cast it as a 2GWU 4/4 with first strike and deathtouch? Even without the white option, 2GU for a 2/2 deathtouch isn't much better. In general, I'd advise not to put tertiary abilities (such as deathtouch in green or flying in red)on hybrid cards.
Seeker of Knowledge3UU Creature - Human Wizard M
Activate only one activated ability of ¬ each turn and any time you could cast a sorcery. W: Target player gains 3 life. B: Target player discards a card. R: ¬ deals 2 damage to target creature or player. G: Put a 1/1 green Saproling token onto the battlefield.
2/4
Boy this is clunky. Why is this mono-blue? None of these abilities spell out "seeker of knowledge", more like "one who has power". This would be better as a Cromat. The BR abilities are very powerful, while W (and to a lesser extent, G) are a fair bit weaker.
Ichor-Stained Tyrranax2GG
Creature - Beast (R)
Level up 2B [5/5]
LEVEL 1-3
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a -1/-1 counter on target creature an opponent controls. [4/4]
LEVEL 4+
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a -1/-1 counter on each creature your opponents control. [3/3]
IIW: Defeat the eldrazi
Weird, a creature that gets smaller as it levels up. That's gotta feel backwards as heck. Card itself is pretty good; efficient body that turns into a huge removal machine if you let it go for too long. I like the knobs you can tweak when playing it.
Tundra Whisperer1G
Creature - Human Shaman (R)
Whenever a land enters the battlefield tapped and under your control, untap it. U, t: Tap target permanent. It doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.
2/2
IIW: Put the B in suBtle
Hmm, this is nice. The non-useless Amulet of Vigor body ties in nicely to the chill of cold ability. On a bear, though, I think you might want to increase the cost of the active. It's very efficient at the moment, regardless of what you hit, and it's extremely potent and squashing your opponent if they get a little mana/colour screwed. Rishadan Port is already no fun; two turns of lockdown make it awful.
Sage-Eye Tribunal5U
Creature — Djinn Wizard (R) U, T: Draw three cards. Sage-Eye Tribunal loses this ability. R, T: Sage-Eye Tribunal deals 6 damage to target creature or player. Sage-Eye Tribunal loses this ability. W, T: You gain 10 life. Sage-Eye Tribunal loses this ability.
3/6
IIW: Cards you wish were playable.
Hey, you already entered, Cheatyface! This is quite an interesting card, but I feel like it's a huge beating if it doesn't get removed immediately. Untapping with it is really good value; Tidings is already 6 mana. Maybe increase the cost of activation so you can't just freely activate it after untapping?
Compleation Test Subject 11W
Creature — Human [R]
Level up B [1/4]
LEVEL 1-3
Whenever a creature attacks you, Compleation Test Subject 1 deals 1 damage to that creature. [2/4]
LEVEL 4+
Infect
Whenever a creature attacks you, put a -1/-1 counter on that creature. [4/3]
IIW: A process of time
This guy gets big pretty quick; 3 mana 2/4 is some Courser of Kruphix level stuff and it holds defensively even better. Otherwise it's a nice card, but sorta sad that it loses the Rakdos Charm ability as it levels.

Can you spell "kludge"? Because this is both Kludge and Syndic of Tithes. I mean, I love dumb puns as much as the next guy, but it tithe ain't even grisly. Serious mana costs going from WW straight to BB - gonna feel bad a lot of the time even if it's balanced. Interesting mirror of the abilities.
...why is this blue? I'm not seeing the flavour in it besides "it's a wizard". It does nothing as a mono blue card (it's downright awful) and isn't even really good until you have all three colours. Power level seems a little strange; area pump isn't quite on the same level as area weakening but they're costed the same regardless.
>see azorius ogre
>mfw still red
Otherwise it's a pretty good card; very effective removal, but only can fit in a specific three colour deck.
For some reason, "tap target creature" just seems a little weaker than the other abilities... At 1GG, that's gonna cause some feelbads to cast and activate what you need. Otherwise, it's an interesting battlemage for sure.
Clever, simple Claustrophobia variant. Maybe a little weak, but I've never been good at rating difficulty to cast.
Boy this is clunky. Why is this mono-blue? None of these abilities spell out "seeker of knowledge", more like "one who has power". This would be better as a Cromat. The BR abilities are very powerful, while W (and to a lesser extent, G) are a fair bit weaker.
Weird, a creature that gets smaller as it levels up. That's gotta feel backwards as heck. Card itself is pretty good; efficient body that turns into a huge removal machine if you let it go for too long. I like the knobs you can tweak when playing it.
This guy gets big pretty quick; 3 mana 2/4 is some Courser of Kruphix level stuff and it holds defensively even better. Otherwise it's a nice card, but sorta sad that it loses the Rakdos Charm ability as it levels.
HMs: admirableadmiral, Atogaholic, Chemtrails
DMs: avatarz for having my favourite card but also not reading English
