Yeah, Kaya's characterisation is the only redeeming quality (besides Ral and Tomik) in that whole War of the Spark *****fest. Glad to see she'll be the planeswalker protagonist.
Here's the Theros story: There is a vaguely warm world that you won't get to see, because Planeswalkers arrive to overshadow all its characters, including its gods, so it ends up being a snowy backdrop for how Elspeth is a better mage than any others, because she has a Spark. You know, that thing that confers no inherent advantage other than to travel, but here she is, breaking the metaphysical rules again, because Planeswalkers. After you're convinced she matters more than Theros, we'll be on to Tarkir/Ikoria.
If Reidane is the white aligned god then it'd be a good allusion to the sun being female in Norse myths, which I quite like. If Alrund is the blue aligned god then we might get to see a pantheon where the blue god holds sway.
We can assume that the red aligned god will probably be the Thor analogue, and the green one probably something based on the Vanir. That leaves the black one as either Loki, Hela or, if this goes pseudo-Tolkien, a Morgoth analogue.
