VOTES: Tim, BlackTemple, HM: Flintlock. Cool and flavorful but it doesn't work the way you seem to want it work.
Necrotome (Rare) 2B
Enchantment
When Necrotome enters the battlefield, shuffle your graveyard face up into your library.
You may play the top card of your library if able as long as it's face up.
My initial reaction is to praise this card for its glory, but this sort of thing gets hairy when it is actually applied. ...a problem arises when someone needs to shuffle their deck. While shuffling they would be able to see certain cards. This would inevitably lead to cheating, or at least claims of cheating. Anyway, I really love the idea, but I'm not sure it works in real life. I'd love to be wrong on this though.
Thanks! Yeah, I felt the same way but posted it anyways. It's about 22 years too late. But it could be part of an online only set, which WotC is sure to do, eventually. Hey, that might be a cool MCC/CCL - a month of challenges to design cards that would work only (or best) on MTGO but not so well (or at all) in regular MTG.
But it's the knocking off of the 2 that makes it worth playing.
Although it's making them ants that's winning the vote.
Deplorable.
This is a design contest. I mean yeah, it's casual, but damn. Knocking 2 off of a cost isn't design. It isn't even riffing. It's just blatantly making something better in an uninteresting way.
Ancestral Divination (Uncommon) U
Sorcery
Draw two cards. Now it's worth playing.
...if any of the people that voted for it also forgot about Thatcher Revolt, and want to take change their vote, I won't hold it against them.
I'd be surprised were anyone to change his or her vote (though I think they should). I just hope it doesn't continue to happen. I wouldn't want to participate in a game like that.
Hellfire Ants
Sorcery (U)
Create three 1/1 red Elemental Insect creature tokens with haste. Sacrifice them at end of turn. They'll ruin more than your picnic.
Am I missing something here or is this nothing more than Thatcher Revolt for R? Yet it's getting votes...
I know there's many thousands of extant designs and very few individuals know them all (I don't), but it's still a bit irksome (for me) to see a "design" getting votes when it's just an existing card with 2 knocked off of the mana cost.
Enraged Griffin3RW
Creature — Griffin (R)
Flying, haste
Whenever Enraged Griffin or another creature you control with flying attacks, Enraged Griffin deals 1 damage to target creature or player. “May you never find yourself on the wrong side of the claws!”
Vahd Aetherwagon3
Artifact — Vehicle (U)
Whenever a white creature crews Vahd Aetherwagon, Vahd Aetherwagon gains your choice of flying, first strike, or vigilance until end of turn.
Crew 3 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 3 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
Is it just me or is this (and the card in the post right above this one) missing power and toughness?
Ghirapur Aetherwagon2
Artifact — Vehicle (U)
Whenever a blue creature crews Ghirapur Aetherwagon, Ghirapur Aetherwagon gains your choice of flying, prowess, or “Whenever this Vehicle deals combat damage to a player, draw a card” until end of turn.
Crew 3 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 3 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
Seriously, am I missing something here? Is there something I don't understand about text formatting for Vehicles?

Isn't this just Counterspell with a shuffle? No existing UR cards come close to this.
Yes thats kind of exactly the point.
*snip*
When I posted the exact same effect as an ETB on a rare 1UR 2/2 creature with flash last week, lots of people loved it and it got like 8 or 9 votes. To my surprise, no one seemed to complain that it's technically more powerful than Mystic Snake with a CMC of 3. Not sure why it's suddenly a no-no once I just make it an instant as a watered down Counterspell.
Avian Boar1GU
Creature - Beast Bird Mutant (U)
Flash
Flying
Avian Boar enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it if it was cast any time you couldn’t have cast an instant. "'When pigs fly', they said. Ha!"
—Jas, Simic prodigy
2/2
Is there a time that this could be cast that is also a "time you couldn't have cast an instant"? I don't think there is, but this has me second guessing. (Also, Boar is a creature type.)
Arcane VortexUR

Target player shuffles target spell they control into their library. "With my voice reduced to a muffle, my intentions were lost in the shuffle." -- Hogarth, the Fool

Doomshift2B
Sorcery [R]
Destroy target enchantment. Its controller may search his or her library for an enchantment card with a different name, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle his or her library.
Nothing new to be frank, other than it's black. This would have to be G and/or W. (Or wait, is this for your alt color pie project?) Whatever the color, it's Tinker for enchantments - i.e. busted.
(EDIT: CryoZenith nailed it.)
EDIT: So many great designs to choose from today (Apr5). Can't decide but must...
Maybe an artifact - Urza's Flip-Flops?

You beat me by 4 points. 😭

drive - lol

I'm voting for this in advance.

p/t?
Because 1 is everything.

Sorry if this is already common knowledge, but I haven't been in this forum for a while.
