The thing with World Breaker is that exiling their lands can be very good if Silence did its job. Of course we can have the luxury of cutting Drowner fat for World Breaker which, it might cost 1 more mana, but its impact on the board is much greater. And, the tap ability really doesn´t acomplish much here.
I will keep testing this matchup to see if this is correct sideboarding, maybe Drowner helps with the race.
I stopped testing Bant And started getting some reps with colorless eldrazi and its been good and fun.
I would like someone to give me their opinion on this deck. I know this isnt the thread but eldrazi are so fringe right now that i dont know who to ask.
What do you think in contrast to bant?
For context proposites: i play 4 chalice 4 thorn And 4 ssg. I think that is kind of stock of you go for colorless.
Yeah, removal is a problem for this deck, lucklily, most removal doesn´t work against this deck(Abrupt Decay, Lightning Bolt). Although Jeskai can Path him, but not too worried about that matchup, it seems good.
So, on another note, i´ve been testing Eldrazi Mimic, and i think it is quite good.
I found that this deck is all about grinding against grindy decks and racing against faster decks. You certainly can´t play the control role against fast decks like Bogles, Affinity and Burn. Ancient Tomb and mana dorks makes racing very easy. You just have to mulligan until a fast hands shows up.
Also, i think Plan A for this deck is to close the game ASAP, so Mimic does that very well, it´s a must answer for the opposing deck, and it fits in the curve perfectly. I wouldn´t go above 1 tho...
Yeah, maybe 10 mana is too much, especially against removal decks like Jund and Jeskai, where dorks and often Lands don´t make it through the whole game.
Although, I´ve never won or came back with World Breaker. Maybe i need more reps against Control and Midrange. To be fair, i get him in almost every time, i almost never find him because i close the game before he arrives..
These went into top 18 of GP Charlotte. Not really surprised since the deck is quite good.
One of the lists though, went for Oath of Nissa and Sakura tribe elder.
I dont like neither of those cards in Bant Eldrazi, at least right now. Playing more noncreature spells than the necesary seems bad. 8 is already quite high, but Path and Stirrings are that good. I found myself topdecking creatures a lot in the "8 spell" build, which is good in the grindy matchups, and when racing.
The other list is more like Pascal´s, although he cutted the Mimic for another Skite. I think this is flex spots subject so, we will have to get more into he deck to know what´s best for sure.
PS: Has anyone felt the need of Ulamog in the sb as a 1-of maybe?.
I like him against Control, Midrange, and maaybee Abzan Coco, where milling 20 a turn after infinite like is real deal.
Playing today against Jund, i felt Matter Reshaper.
I want to cut him because he´s bad against many other decks, but so good against midrange.
I wont cut him probably but it makes me feel like the upside of battling midrange and bolt decks in general with more ease is just better than blocking random Nexus or flyers.
The deck is good indeed. I ve been playtesting a bunch of game against random tier1/2 decks and it feels very comfortable and, of course, it wins..A Lot..
I never tried Wall of omens, still on the 'to do list' but Manynard might have gotten it right.
Spellskite is a beast. Period.
Extra dork to power TKS turn 2 with more consistency (thats our best play there).
Eldrazi Mímic i think it gives the deck more explosivness, so you can race combo or aggro.
The card that is getting in my mind is Matter Reshaper. It is very solid indeed. But im not sure if 4 is the right number. I need something that blocks in the air.. Almost like the only thing missing.
So my next builds i will try 2 or 3 eldrazi skyspawner which seems very solid too And helps against affinity which is a bad matchup pre-board. Something like 2 reshapers 2 spawners.
The other issue is that midrange like mardu And rock can tricky , And Matter does help a lot with its value.
I would love to hear from Pascal, im waiting for his CFB article!
The ability of blocking in the air is just that good. I will keep testing 3/3/3 split of 3 drops and report back.
1 MB Mimic and 1 in the sb are the tools. Drowners are really not good here.
I don´t know much about Thalia in this deck, but the matchup seems unfavored but not bad, like the other midrange decks.
To be more illustrative, this is how i would sideboard against RG Tron playing Pascal´s lists fro GP LA:
Out: 2 Spellskite, 4 Drowner of Hope
In: 2 Stony Silence, 1 Negate, 1 Stubborn Denial, 1 Eldrazi Mimic, 1 World Breaker.
Game 1 is pretty hard, the more temples in hand the better it gets.
Game 2, Timely Reinforcements is our plan, cut most of the fat, like Drowner and should be good.
Explosives can be good here, but i really don´t know what would they sb. Maybe they take most of their creatures since ours outclass theirs very fast.
They will have a better boardstate 80% of the time.
And yes, unless you are Pascal Maynard and Affinity player goes T1 Thoughtseize on your Stony Silence you should be good.
This deck has some serious racing ability, i can not point this out enough.
Game 1, if you know you are against Affinity, mull to Ancient Tomb and Smasher, those are the best ways to close the game as fast as possible.
Game 2, you can play control role. Watchout for Blood Moon.
I fell in love with the spaghetti monsters while playing Colorless in Legacy.
In other news: New article on SCG from the first mutant Todd Stevens. http://www.starcitygames.com/article/32993_Enter-Bant-Eldrazi.html
I liked this article more than Pascal´s. You can sense that Todd invested more time in the deck whereas Pascal played because his team was on it.
Maybe it´s a good time to grab all the pieces now, this deck might be the real thing.
Pascal´s article on Bant Eldrazi. He says pretty much all the things we already talked about.
Reshaper>Skyspawner for mana purposes. Although Skyspawner helps with the Infect and Affinity matchup.
Mimic is there to race combo(and Rg Tron i guess?). He has one in the SB also, which i think he swapped with Drowner against combo decks.
Such a beautiful deck.....if Eldrazi Winter didn´t hit you hard i guess..
I would like someone to give me their opinion on this deck. I know this isnt the thread but eldrazi are so fringe right now that i dont know who to ask.

Drowner of hope is real.
The combat tricks you can make, and the big body plus 2 more is extremely good against midrange and super aggro like affinity.
I won yesterday against Affinity by tapping creatures with Plating after topdecking Drowner. It is just that good.
I prefer to make my mana base a little worse than not having it in my deck at all.
Just like Displacer.
PS: The counters in the sb are very good too. I feel so alive when i Negate Damnation or some Scapeshift, Goryos Vengance.
IF he does an article about this deck (which i think he will) he will talk about this decision, and hopefully Skyspawner too.
I never tried Wall of omens, still on the 'to do list' but Manynard might have gotten it right.

I´ve been searching a fun deck that plays super unfair without being glass-cannon combo.
This is the deck. Turn 2 Thought-Knot Seer and picture me rollin.
However, in my testing (using Todd list from last SCG event), i found Goyfs are kinda lackluster.
I dont like them being 2/3 and Todd himself said they are there to give the deck some game against Aggro decks like Burn and Zoo.
So, instead of playing 180 dollar 2/3 walls, im going to test Wall of Omens; makes our draws smoother and comboes with Eldrazi Displacer.
I will come back here to leave some thoughts after that, i hope someone realizes this deck is very good and plays it at the GPs
