Vorin saw Kassim, but did not draw himself to his attention. Kassim was clearly preoccupied with the conflict and as much as he wanted to walk up to Kassim and say "Hey, let's get out of here," he knew it wasn't very likely.
Vorin tried to remain hidden, but he scanned the surrounding area to try notice anything that Kassim may have missed about the situation in his rush to save the day (What Vorin believes happened). He looked around for any villagers or other raiders that might be in the vicinity in an attempt to figure out what was going on here, or to gain an advantage in the upcoming fight.
He had no desire to get directly involved in the conflict, but he had full intentions of protecting Kassim. While protecting others was certainly not something he was used to doing, Vorin drew upon the memory of the Oasis they had just visited. He tried to release some of the mana he gathered there to be ready to protect his ally from the sidelines.
Vorin walked out from hiding, convinced that the skirmish that had happened here had passed. From where he was, he looked around quickly remembering the direction he came from to triangulate where he was in relationship to the healer's house. He then began to walk in the opposite direction of the house, assuming that that was the general direction Kassim had gone.
Vorin takes a few steps away from the conflict ready to leave before he gets dragged into this. He ducks behind some sort of cover to observe the scene for another few moments before leaving.
Vorin shrugged. He contemplated burning the door down and breaking in, but he really was trying not to be the bad guy here. Plus, then they'd probably see how calm it is outside. He was annoyed at how uncaring these humans seemed to be at second glance, but then again, not wanting to help a stranger, maybe they know then elvish way better than he thought. He smiled at this notion and began walking away. I guess they have no need for me here. He wanted to leave and head for the desert epicenter, but he couldn't abandon Kassim, so he began walking in the direction he had seen the flying bandit.
He looked back at the house and contemplated shoot a blast of fire, to show those humans for not letting him in, but he again decided not to attract attention. He was also embarrassed at the thought that most of the humans were not at home. In that case, they managed to escape the attack, which is all he cared about.
As he approached Kassim's old loaction, he sighed knowing that he was probably about to get dragged back into this.
Vorin quickly scanned the buildings for one which, from the outside, appeared to be a home, or perhaps a large public place, but he certainly wasn't to familiar with their building designs. Upon finding a good looking building, Vorin ran up to the door and screamed again, repeating himself almost verbatim. It was easier the second time. "Please! Is anyone in there?! Let me in! They're right behind me! Please!!! Let me in!"
OOC: How abandoned does this building look? In other words, does it look like a home that someone threw some boards onto to protect themselves from raiders, or does it look like and old abandoned building, covered in boards because it is no longer in use? Or somewhere in between?
Vorin stood over the dead rider. He felt slightly ashamed. He had just aided in the conflict in which he had hoped to take no part. Though, he also felt some strange pride. It had become obvious that these people couldn't take care of themselves. He was no hero, but these citizen clearly did not understand his way of life. He still would not fight this battle for them, but they clearly needed his help, and since he had to wait for Kassim, he decided he might as well try to help them out.
Vorin had never really lied before. He never had much of a need to. In a way, he was excited to try it out.
Vorin ran up to the shut door and started banging. He screamed anxiously "Please! Anyone! Let me in! They're right behind me! Please!!! Let me in!"
Vorin channeled the red mana through his body and shot out a sole blast of red lightning (Shock), but not at the rider. He concentrated the bolt at his mount, hoping to knock the rider onto the ground and keep him alive.
"Hey you!" Vorin held up with hand which shined with red mana. "If you don't want to end up like your friend over there you'll stop right there" Vorin screamed at the rider.
OOC: If he does not stop, let me know when he's half way to me. I still may act.
Vorin stood against the wall of the building. He gathered an individual source of red mana as he glanced back at the returning riders to see how much time he had. Simply fleeing seemed wrong, and they would probably chase him down anyway. He was becoming more tempted to simply engage the riders, but he thought he would make one more attempt to attempt to decipher their motives. He glanced at the door at readied his shoulder (the one that was not just injured) to ram through the door.
Suddenly, he looked into the horizon and saw a similar rider to the one he was fighting flying in the air. He realized Kassim had engaged some riders, and he felt guilty that he was about to break into a home and put these people at risk. They were smart and able enough to barricade their door, so they deserve to survive this unless an enemy breaks through. In the last second, Vorin streamed the mana straight through his shoulder down into his hand and blast a sharp jolt of electricity and the first rider. (Assuming they are also 2/1) The shock hit the rider directly, knocking him off his mount and frying him to a crisp, which left his mount charging into the distance before it returned to the Aether. He glared menacingly at the second rider, bracing for impact.

Vorin's shoulder did begin to bleed, but he barely felt the pain. He found it a little sad that he was getting used to this. He was more annoyed that despite his best efforts, the riders had both detected him and one had managed to get in close enough for an attack.
Fighting in a town seems so natural for them. I guess they're not just desert bandits...I wonder what they're here for then...
OOC: Before I continue, I have two quick questions. 1. In one of my last posts, I said I was standing next to a building. Are the riders circling the entire building? I don't think they could just circle me if I'm standing right next to it. Also, does the building have a door?
OOC: I hate to ask this, but is there any way I can get a little more description as to how the rider attacked me? I'm trying my best to get out of this fight by RPing, hence why I gave up the mana and am not summoning more right now. I'm trying to keep in Vorin's character and attempting to pass by unnoticed and make it very difficult for them to attack. If RPing here is impossible, that's fine and I'll just shock these guys to oblivion, but I'm trying to be more multidimensional, so I was hoping to see how the riders acted based on what I did. Thanks!

Meanwhile, unwilling to enter the fray, he gathered more protective energy.
