Now that she looked more closely, the trail leading into the water closely resembled the trails being left by the smaller snakes exiting the water. It was perhaps a little larger.
A few smaller snakes and frogs made their free from the pond, which became even cloudier with Shalin's poking. The pond seemed like it was probably five feet deep, though the bottom of the pond was rather spongey and muddy so it was difficult to make out exact dimensions.
It was a pond in a public park in the most forward thinking city in Bakara! It was pretty murky, really, between the out of season lillies and the detritus being kicked up by what might have have been half-gold-half-cat-fish it was difficult to see more than a few inches into the water clearly.
Not being an expert tracker, Shalin found it hard to tell which end of the trail was freshest. Her gut told her the snake had definitely entered the water, whether recently or not.
Shalin felt the hum of magic around her hands but the people milling about in Bonfire park saw only a wild looking girl holding her hands up. Shalin had plenty of options of where to start her search, the park was large enough to include water features, rocky areas and patches of trees and shrubs. Not to mention abundant flower beds and benches.
Kherren- The kindir mountains are smaller, and richer in ore than crystal. The wildlife is substantially different, I'm used to dealing with ironrocks and windreavers. The Alogeans are teeming with gorions and gilas.
Kherren also headed for carriage four, wandering over while the others milled around their respective choices. He approached Hilde, seeing fit to introduce himself as they would be traveling and working together for a while. He extended a hand towards her.
Kherren nodded.
Kherren- The Alogeans are little different, though.
Kherren settled back into a comfortable stance.
Kherren- Kherren Torga-Leen.
