I guess a good question to ask is when does a round technically close? When the host posts and says the round is closed or when the time on the first post in the round states?
Additionally I feel like requests for extensions should probably be done in thread, or at the very least *this* thread, otherwise the other contestants/judges have no way to know what's going on.
Dammit Icarii... Your historic mana worked so well that I keep looking at spoilers and thinking "I feel like this set needs a couple more mana producers if they're going to have historic mana work" only to realize that historic mana is not in this set...
Rounds 1 and 2 are finished! Sadly lack of top 3s kinda warped round 2's scores, but round three will be up shortly for our top 8:

CBG is fine, it adds more than one distinct color and can't add all 5 distinct colors, even a card that added CWUBR would be fine as colorless is not a color
technically the 2nd card does not qualify\
As of 1:36 PM PST all cards that that have been posted in round 2 meet the challenge. so good job on that people!
IcariiFA and Antiantiserum have the correct interpretation, sorry for the unclear clarification. This challenge was apparently much harder to put into words than I anticipated.
That clause was basically to say that a card that filters mana is okay (which I guess I could have just said...)
Another note, as I'm still seeing two cards that don't quite meet the challenge:
WE are looking for a card that adds A/B, A/B/C, or A/B/C/D, but NOT A/B/C/D/E to your mana pool (where A,B,C,D,and E are different colors of mana)
Specifically:
if your card only adds 1 specific color of mana to your mana pool, you card does not meet the challenge
if your card has an effect that adds a variable color of mana to your mana pool (i.e. Charmed Pendant, Coldsteel Heart, Corrupted Grafstone, Elemental Resonance, ect) your card does not meet the challenge.
side note for those that want the bonus points for this March's CCL, as I am unable to view who voted and didn't vote, please post a critique, even something as abbreviated as Katamari's, in the voting thread so that I can get you your points.
I guess the problem was that I wasn't sure what the current standard was for scoring (I always thought it was weird that it wasn't more transparent) I should have asked rather than decreed
Its ineligible due to being able to create any color. this round were looking for cards that create a specific (as defined by the card) set of two, three, or even four colors (cluestones/keyrune/signets form ravnica, obelisks from alara, Druid of the Anima, Urborg Elf ect.)
Would the challenge read better as: "Design a non-land card that can add exactly two, three, or four specific colors of mana to your mana pool."?
For the sake of transparency here is how grading will work this month:
Entrants have a chance of getting 100 points toward their score each round. Scores for each Round are determined by the following equation:
Point Total = 100*((Placement Points)/(3*Number of judges))
Placement points are awarded so that a 1st place judgment is worth 3 points, a 2nd place worth 2, and a 3rd place is worth 1.
The number of judges in this case is number of judges responsible for judging your entries who submitted top 3s
Bonus points for submitting critiques will be added on top of these scores
Additionally this month progression onto the next round will be based on a running total until the finals.
Additionally I feel like requests for extensions should probably be done in thread, or at the very least *this* thread, otherwise the other contestants/judges have no way to know what's going on.
What is it, and where is that documented?
PST has been used for the CCL for almost two months now, and this seems to be the first time it’s being mentioned.
