Ok, 1 damage is a lot more reasonable than 2. I'll probably still run this guy in my Blightning deck. He should still be able to hit for a lot of damage.
Update with rarity. I'm not sure on the creature type I'd like to say Goblin, but I just don't remember. *horrible memory* even though I only saw the card yesterday.
It's understandable blue control players would be shocked and in denial at the notion of this card, since their decks have been dominating multiple formats for an eternity yet they've curiously never once had to deal with any counter-hosers that weren't ineffectual, narrow CRAP.
If the price of progress creatures unearth cost is really B less than originally rumored that's pretty cool.
The bant token maker seems very strong, it can be used as a fog against a horde of bigger creatures, as a wrath against a horde of x/1 creatures or you can just let the damage through and then kill next turn with a massive amount of tokens. This will be limited strong and constructed playable.
Like the land burn card. Who says there's no mana burn?
The bant card sounds weak to me. It only works well if either you or a opponent has heaps of attacking creatures, which in the current standard format is hard to get. Could be useful in two-headed or three-headed giant though.

Think outside the box.
Attack with a hoarde of YOUR creatures, then cast the spell for an equal amount of chump blockers in reserve. It could give you the ability to attack all out in a situation when you otherwise wouldn't.
And if you don't need your new flock of creatures to block an attack on your opponents next turn, you've got a nice boost to your next attack.
Alternatively, Martial Coup for a bunch of tokens, then attack with them on your next turn and play this card for added humiliation.
I play 5-color-control and I love it. But I would really like to see a Back to Basics effect in this set. The price of progress is good... using it twice is even better. But with Wall of Reverence etc, it seems like you would rather shut them down completely.

This card is way too powerful for an uncommon if spoiled correctly. If it works for you as well as your opponent it's insane. Imagine this guy with a couple Knotvine Paladins in play and a Bird/Hierarch or two; or better yet after an all out attack with Ajani granting everyone a +1/+1 counter and Vigilance.
The Bant cards is awesome and a great design. It is either a fog+sandstorm against your opponent or is a mega spectral procession if you are playing tokens and play this on your turn. "Double the number of tokens you have, they have flying" anyone? Now, to splash blue and green in my BRW tokens...
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.

For each attacking creature, put a 1/1 creature with flying in play.

All out attack, second main play this, blockers for next turn.
Or fog if being all out attacked, heck, if they have just 1/1 tokens (martial coup?) its even a board sweeper.
