I went to a modern tournament last night and played with that U/R storm list I sent you and went undefeated :3. I won through triple Trickbind at one point, that was neat. Beat RDW, U/G/w Delver, U/W Tron and others.
Opened up a foily Overgrown Tomb, 2 Temple Garden, and a Deathrite Shaman, among other neato cards in my prize packs, I was stoked :D.
Pretty much what I listed above, and any random amv's I find on youtube ;).
Thanks :D!
Winning through hate cards is always fun. I somehow beat game 1 Spellskite twice at the PTQ with Infect (Gogo Exalted!). How'd you beat triple Trickbind (is this even a card?) Also curious about Bant Delver unless G is a typo.
Edit: Anyone awake that wants to battle on Cockatrice? I've got silly casual decks in addition to real ones.

I end of turn Gigadrowse him to which he Trickbinded the replicate, then on my turn I did it again, which he used his second Trickbind again on it keeping open two blue mana, then I stormed once for lethal knowing he would trickbind it, tapping him out and I restormed with Past in Flames because I had an active Pyromancer's Ascension.
As for the delver deck I dunno, it had Snapcasters, and Gift's Ungiven and that Iona/Unburial Rite's combo. It was more of a U/G gifts deck that splashed white/black I guess.... It ended up getting 3rd, so It's pretty good I guess lol.

Sounds like it was a crazy game. Is Gigadrowse better than Early Frost? I've never had more than 4 lands in play with storm and not been mana flooded.
Sounds like American Delver with G instead of R. I would guess for Goyf, Abrupt Decay and Deathrite Shaman. Though they don't usually maindeck the Gifts combo.

He didn't have Goyf's but I believe he had the other stuff. I did see Sakura-Tribe Elders too.
Gigadrowse says permanent, and that is a very important, very distinguishing difference.

kk. I wouldn't have thought that would be super relevant based on Storm's speed. I guess having it as a back up in case they disrupt your plan A is pretty good though.
Sakura-Tribe Elder seems a little out of place in the same deck as Delver of Secrets. I'm guessing it means he just didn't own shock lands or something.

If you are having to fight through Trickbinds and counterspells and other general hate cards and still try to go the fast route after sideboarding you will lose. After sideboard you basically become a really bad, slow control deck with a combo finish :p, at least in my build.
In the Goblin Electro builds, Early Frost is probably better.

I think he only had a singleton Delver, but I still call it Delver cause I dunno what the heck it was, lol.

My comment wasn't implying that you should rush to win each time, it was an observation that based on the speed of the deck, I would not expect pressure from creatures to be relevant often enough to warrant having it as an option at the cost of mana efficiency in a deck that goes off on 2 lands.
I wouldn't count on playing against Trickbind that often. Most people don't run such narrow combo hate, its usually more broad in application like Relic of Progenitus. But that's the neat thing about local meta games. You can get away with things like that.
1 of Delver in a 4 colour Gifts deck. Now that just sounds awful. It sounds like someone built a deck out of their trade binder/cube.
Also, why are we autocarding everything? I'm sure we both know what all of them do lol.

The whole permanent thing is not always about worrying about creatures. Signets do get played (along with other annoying like things I cant think of off the top of my head!) and are pretty annoying like against tron so just tapping blue mana doesn't always work, which is in my meta. Besides being able to tap more than three lands if I need to just gives more value out of one card.

Bold part being important, seeing as you know I don't go to bigger tournaments all too often, they just do not appeal to me. I don't like traveling very far and I don't want MTG to be work (I rather it be a fun thing) so I never want to be a pro player.
And there's anywhere between 1-4 storm decks a week, so Trickbinds a pretty good sideboard card here ;p.

No, its not really a 4 color gifts deck lol. It's U/g the white splash being for Path to Exile and flashback of Unburial Rites and black splash being <-- and maybe something else.
But I dunno, he was doing well with it, only person he lost to was me.
Let's just pretend I made an awesome pun to change the subject of conversation. All of this Modern talk has left me almost too drowsy to make jokes. Not quite Giga-Drowsy, but close to it.
I think I might have to change costume plans for Anime Boston. I did some research and my first idea looks like it would be really tough to pull off with 0 skill points in cosplay. I found something a little easier, still from the same universe and it doesn't even require me to dye my hair. Although I think my hair may be too short to pull it off well.

I've gotsomeoptions. Leaning towards the last one at the moment (for obvious reasons).
Don't worry about pics lol. I'm sure my friends and I will take plenty over the course of the weekend. It's one of my favourite cons to go since it's always a new adventure for me each time, even if it takes place in the same place every year. Last year I showed up at the literal last minute and had a blast.
Cosplaying is cool , kudos to those brave enough to do it! I'd be a bit too paranoid to do it myself (at least alone anyways). I shut down when people start looking/staring at me :(.

I'd cosplay all the time but I don't have any sort of sewing skills nor do I want any. If I was just given a costume though I'd wear the **** out of it.

Well... I like pretty dresses and costumes and I like the ones that don't exist. Especially the ones from anime or games that don't exist... And I have no really modesty when I dress... The only reason I wear hoodies and jeans most of the time is because it like being warm. :3
Like, I want to make a cosplay of Deathpact Angel! Her dress is amazing!
Do you have any tips for a rookie? The one I'd like to do is Bridget from Guitly Gear Ancient Core, but all the cosplays I've seen look so complex. It's scary.

I am one as well. I have no tips, but I'd say just go for it. If you mess up, learn from it. You won't know what looks good until you try. :3
Also, know your measurements by heart. It's faster that way. >__>
