Hello everyone. I'm here to tell my funny problem story.
Yesterday, I decide to make huge change to my bedroom. I'm turning my bed as my desktop and my desktop as my sewing machine workplace (cosplayer here, need a suitable place to finish my costumes). My monitor is broken, but my big flat screen LED Phillips TV is fully functional and I barely use it. I decide to connect my desktop PC to my TV via the first HDMI port at the back of my TV, plugs in the adaptator cause my video card is Mini-HDMI and boot up everything.
First problem: PC detects the TV, but no image is shown. Switch the wire from port 1 to port 2, then port 3: always the same result. Take the spare LCD monitor with a few dead pixels, plug it in: still a problem. The monitor is not detected as the first screen. As you can all imagine, it was one hell of a plug/unplug playing going on.
After finishing to set up some parameters, I finally found the cause of the problem. While holding the wire, I make it go left/right/up/down while it's pluged (without twisting the plugged end of course) only to find out that the image sometimes appear. Conclusion, the wire is broken. Take out spare 1.8 m HDMI cable. Screen works, everything is adjusted but there is still a problem. The cable is too shrt and is dnagling in the air. I need to change my cable fast. I need something that's 7 meters long and that goes HDMI to mini-HDMI.
I'm ready to buy from internet, but I need recommendations. Please note that I'm Canadian and uses Paypal for my net purchases.

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
My system's running with two HDMI wires (one's mini to HDMI) and a coupler. Can't really run with one of those adapters due to space restriction (videocard has 3 ports: 2 types of DVI and one mini-HDMI, adapter would only be in the way).
