Got a build together, which is up for review. I'm confident in it, so now I need a monitor and case to put it in, should someone be able to help me out.
Monitor:
Going 27" 1080p, just because the price difference between 25" 1080p and 27" 1440p is too much for my budget. The two candidates I have unless someone recommends otherwise...
ASUS VS278Q-P - 1ms, lower contrast, 2 HDMI Ports. ASUS VK278Q - 2ms, higher contrast, 1 HDMI Ports, $20~30 more.
I'm leaning towards the latter for the contrast, but I can't speak for the 1ms difference in response times. Any critiques?
Case:
Honestly, this is the hardest part. I want Mid tower with a couple USB 3.0s on the front, quiet fans, with no LEDs. Obviously airflow and space at precident, but it's been difficult finding something I like. My budget on this is $100, though I'd like to spend closer to $50. Anyways, what I picked out...
For the mother board, you can get similar at lower price. Shop it before purchasing it. On my side, I would go with Gigabyte since it can be purchased at a lower cost compared to ASUS. A good plus is, it has a better quality. I would also not go with an OC processor, it's not worth it if all you can pull out is only a few more hertz. The i7 3770 should be enough.
For the power supply, I would go full modular with a Antec PSU with at least 80+ GOLD rating. For the CPU cooler, I would fit it with a case of the same companny for maximum compatibility. But for the case, I suggest you to increase your budget by around 50$, it will give you a better choice with cases that have a better airflow. Go with something you like here, cause aestethics vary from person to person.
Another detail, don't buy from all those web sites, you will pay more because of taxes and shipping. Pick only one online shop. And lastly, for the cooling, I highly suggest changing the fan that comes with it for something better like a cougar fan: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835553007 .
Even better, you can easelly change all the fans for better ones for improved air flow.
If I had to build around your buget, here's what I would choose: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ULED
I made some changes, I would invest a bit more to be sure to have something good. To make it complete with a monitor and a case: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ULXz
This PC is valued at around 1500$. If you don't have an OS, keyboard, mouse and speakers: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2UM8Q
But that's only my advice, someone may have a better advice. Maybe you should also add the buget you have to build your PC.

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
I chose an Intel i5 and GeForce 770. It saddens me to learn that the i7 is on sale for $270 rather than the $320 when I placed my order, but I supposed it's not TOO much a difference when you work tax in. But yes, I chose from chops that had free shipping and allowed me to dodge taxes. Price after rebates war $1090.00~ish
I chose the NZXT 410 Phantom SE Case with Gun-metal Finish because it seemed a decent case, and because of the Gun-metal Finish. G-u-n m-e-t-a-l.
The monitor I chose was an ASUS 24" VG248QE: Going 27" without also going 1440p seemed like a foolish choice, so I opted for a higher-end 24" 1080p. It was between this ASUS and a BENQ, but my friends disduaded me from choosing BENQ due to their personal experiences. It would seem the BENQ in question had more problems with saturation, while my ASUS has problems with black levels in certain settings: I found an ICC profile that should compensate, however.
Also unlisted is my choice of keyboard: I opted for the Microsoft Sidewinder x4. Wired, adjustable LED, membrane buttons, no key-press limit for $50. The next comparable non-mechanical option was $20 more but with more critiques than the Sidewinder... though I'd much prefer the white LEDs. As for mouse I'm using a junker $20 that I've had for awhile.
EDIT: I forgot to mention! I was a first-time buyer from PC Outlet, SuperBiiz, and NCIX. I've had great experience with all but NCIX. Their order processing and payment verification took three days, and they ended up double charging me for the monitor: one from my intial attempt to pay through paypal, and the other from talking with a customer service rep. I placed the order on Sunday and this just shipped half of my order today, on Friday. Everything else has already arrived!
I know, NCIX has some big issues. I even tried to cancel an order online and it was impossible to do. When I purchased my parts on that page, it took a whole week for me to finally start receiving them. And it took a full month for me to actually have all the components I ordered there. Just so you know, here's my PC, my very first build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2XOJL
And that's minus the fans I added, the two 1 TO external drive, the 500 Go external drive enclosure (converting a desktop drive as an external was easy), the power bar, the HDMI cables, the 32 inch flat screen TV and some other stuff. I do beleive that this is a ''make it big, make it fast, make it sturdy, make it perform'' type of computer. Plus, I have this nice blue lights on black case and board effect. Got 3 200 mm fans and 3 120 mm fans in that case for smooth airflow.

Fractal Design Core 3000 $85~
NZXT Tempest 410 $66~
Rosswill R5 $73~
NZXT Phantom 410 $91~
I'm completely open to recommendations, but I'm leaning towards either the Tempest of Phantom at this point.

For the screen, I would go with ACER screens. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007616 50001146 600416635&IsNodeId=1&name=Acer America
In fact, I own a ACER screen (27 inch DEL 1080P, valued at 300$, but got it at 200$ because it was a demo at Future Shop and the price tag was the wrong one, so they gave me two rebates on the screen.)
