"Great. More monsters attacking me. I thought I had enough of that stuff on my home plane."
She turns to Vig. "I'll dust your things." She pulls out a packet of pixie dust and scatters it around her, and the octorillas fall asleep as they come close. To add insult to injury, she takes some of the tentacles of the sleeping octorillas and ties them into knots with each other.
And the clash of energies creates an explosion that sends Mojo Vig reeling. The careening figure leaves a scattered trail of severed writhing tentacles in his wake. Mojo manages to break his fall by grasping the support beam of the neighboring financial institution with his outstretched gorilla hand. Wounded but far from out, he begins to scale the building in an attempt to regroup.
Aurora, standing near Vig, sees the octorillas approaching, and focuses on two who are coming from opposite sides. When the two get close to her, she proceeds to do a straddle jump, kicking both of them at once in opposite directions. She runs out once there is a hole in the crowd (after stunning the ones that she kicked, and also after the fact that some of them are on fire).
Just curious, but at what point do we all know each other? Have we all been formally introduced to each other? I was just kinda under the impression that this is kinda our first day on the job.
Upon hearing the voice once more, he sighed as he replaced the stasis trap in his hand once more with an Exploder. Alv left the safety of the Cafe and ran back into the streets. There was a lot of chaos flowing, but he still managed to spot the man, well what was left of the man named Mojo Vig. He starting weaving octorillas, doing his best not to get caught or worse and finally when he was within throwing distance he chucked the exploder into the center of the octorillas circling Mojo Vig.
This is essentially your first day on the job and you all kind of got thrown into the thick of it right off the bat (before you could even begin orientation). Don't worry, all of the details will fall together very soon.
And in case you were wondering, we are in Ravnica (after all, that's where the recruitment office is. Convenient, huh?
The remaining octorillas topple like tenpins, leaving the still prone Mojo Vig kneeling on the cobblestone street. Psychic sparks erratically flare up around him.
Mojo Vig channels one last burst of psychic energy before falling unconscious. The prone octorillas blindly act out their master's impulse: each one lets loose a telekinetic shockwave before losing contact with Vig's mind and permanently ceasing their assault. The maelstrom of shear energy threatens to decimate anything and anyone caught in its web.
Shortly after the thunderclaps dissipate and the smoke clears, an array of forms familiar to any law-fearing Ravnican crop up from beyond the horizon:
A squadron is avian-mounted soldiers flying in perfect formation approaches the decimated marketplace fully intent on apprehending the ones responsible for this recent upheaval. This is made more apparent by the accompanying skyscribed edict that has been spelled out in Azorious lawrunes.
The familiar voice that instructed the crew earlier addresses them once again:
"Exit, stage right. And don't forget to bring our prize."
