Yeah, according to the company website they last packaged it in 2011, so I figured you could still find some bottles on the shelves. Glad to hear you'll get to experience it!
It's tough because we don't get stuff from Chicago/Ind/Michigan. So many good breweries right there!

Yeah, I occasionally have the same problem here. Massachusetts is a great place for beer, so I can't complain too much. But I was born and raised in Mississippi, and my favorite beer in the world (Lazy MagnoliaSouthern Pecan Ale) is brewed there and they don't distribute outside of the state. Even Beer Jobber (which you should check out if you're unfamiliar) can't help me :(.

Clown Shoes!
I just got a box from Beer Jobber. Decent selection, but misses most of the bigger name breweries.

Last night, entirely by accident, I stumbled into a Goose Island tap invasion at a neighborhood bar. Talk about great timing! I got to enjoy the Marisol (a light, citrusy, Latin white ale) and the Sofie (a wild yeast Belgian ale aged with orange peel in wine barrels). The Marisol was very good but nothing "wowing"; tasted great but nothing blew my socks off. The Sofie was out of this world and reminded me a lot of Orval, which is among my favorite beers of all time.

I can get Sophie pretty easily when I come up in October. I've never had, but heard it's good.
Last Night I had a Westmalle Tripel (Tasty Trapist Tripel), Petrus Aged Pale (Sour Beer, not for the n00bs), and a Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti.
I'm jealous of your Goose Island find!
I really want to try the following Goose Island Brews.
Bourbon County Brand Stout
Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout
Heck pretty much any variety of Bourbon County Brand Stout

I've still got 2 of the Bourbon County Stout left in my fridge It's good, but it's a big beer. Meaty, thick, malty, and smokey as hell. It's very much a sipping beer, and I have to be in the mood for whiskey in order to enjoy it. If you like heavy beers in that vein, the Lost Abbey Angel's Share is definitely worth trying. Not as in-your-face as the Bourbon County, but more drinkable in my opinion.

Bought some Leinenkugel Summer Shandy. I haven't tried it yet, anyone else like it?
It's great, but not to the likes of a good craft beer.
It's a wheat with lemonade mixed in.
Highly recommended for a hot day.
Typing up the beer cellar list right now.

Wasn't too bad. The lemonade doesn't hit you until the aftertaste. I will prly buy again if the summer get's toasty
lol, our summers are always toasty! I've never had a wheat beer before, but maybe I'll try out this Leinenkugel sometime, I've had another one of theirs that I've really liked so I'm less afraid to try something new with them.
I work at a grocery store and now find myself laughing at the poor saps buying Bud Lights, and Millers when they could be having the great stuff just 5 doors down the wall.

I'm logging qty, beer name, year, brewery, any collaboration brewery, style and size.
Haven't even gotten to the beer fridge yet.

Awesome! My home state of Mississippi enacted the Raise Your Pints law today, allowing higher alcohol beers (up to 8%) to be sold in the state for the first time. My friends that still live back home are ecstatic!
Oh, and Dan, I got your PM and I'm not ignoring it (at least not on purpose). Things have been hectic here lately. I like the offer!

Current season favorite: Bells Oberon which is nice because its a local beer which is cheaper than Blue Moon but tastes better.
All time favorite: Grolsch, I first started liking beer when I made a concerted effort to start drinking it while in Italy. Grolsch was the beer on tap at the pub I would go to and it still is the number one beer in my heart. Sadly since it costs 6 dollars a bottle I have to only have it when I am willing to splurge.
PS any beer or scotch drinkers who find themselves in Ann Arbor Michigan we have an awesome bar right down the block from one of the LGS. Check out Ashleys where they have around 50 beers on tap, more in bottles and for those of you who like whisky a large selection.

Yeah Ann Arbor is great for both the discerning beer drinker and those of us who often lack money. Another great place is down on Main Street, The Heidelberg, the upstairs a more traditional restaurant while the down stairs is a bar where you can get 1 and 2 liter "boots" in the "Beerfest" style. It only costs 10 bucks to fill the liter boot and they have a decent selection of both American macro brews, German beers and cider. The best part is the round of applause each time someone manages to break a boot as the deposit on them is 25$ for the one liter and 50$ for the 2.
My favorite beer would have to be Sapporo. I like my beer with bite, nothing too heavy, and have a refreshing zest at the end of each sip.
Check out IPAs!

I'd be hard pressed to drink 1L of the beer I normally enjoy. Most are 8-10% and that's a lot for a liter!
I was impressed with Grand Rapids. Probably just because I got to go to Founders.
If you have a chance, do yourself a favor and go. Their brewpub is fantastic! Plus you get to try beers that they only serve there.

Yeah it takes some effort to finish the 2 liter boots. From what I hear its not uncommon for people to pound the 2 liters of beer and then promptly drop the glass and be out 50 bucks straight away.
