No, I think, like Halloween and Valentine's Day, it was invented jointly by all industries that sell objects which can potentially be given as presents and all industries that sell candy.
And if they didn't invent it, they took it over very fast.

I just started seeing all these cards and things for "Sweetest Day" this year, and I was like WTF? THERE ARE ALREADY TOO MANY GOOFY GIFT-GIVING HOLIDAYS.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.

I'm nonchristian, and I think that bullcrap regarding people getting offended about "Merry Christmas" is ridiculous. 100%.
I'm an atheist (which makes me about as non-Christian as one can get, I suppose), and I completely agree. Who cares that someone said, "Merry Xmas?" Just because I don't attach any religious significance to the day doesn't mean that I'm going to vilify anyone who says "Merry Christmas" to me. "Happy holidays" is rubbish.

See, it's liberal thinking, as far as I see it. Conservatives ban things because they're offended by it. Liberals ban things just in case other people are offended by it.
THat's a very good summary of the two viewpoints, and it's true in America as well. Here, we're not supposed to say "Merry Christmas" because a Jew might take offense, or a Hindu might take offense, etc. I know quite a few non-Christian folks (some religious, some not) and none of them give a tinker's damn about "Merry Christmas." Nowhere is there a right not to be offended, and I wish people would stop acting like such a ridiculous thing actually existed.
I wonder what Binary has against Christmas?
Christmas is a holiday clearly invented by the cell phone companies....
And the Soviets.
And if they didn't invent it, they took it over very fast.

OMG the war on xmas!

Oh wait, yes I did. Rogue Galaxy.
Meh, ban 'em anyway.
