I did get in contact with Ron Spencer and he said that he can't really make it to the forums regulary, but he can answer e-mails. So what I am going to do is let you ask questions, and say commments, and I will e-mail them to him about every 10-15 questions/comments. He said he can almost for sure respond to that overnight and I will then post the answers on this thread.
So treat this like a regular Q&A thread.

[Q]-What's your favorite card art (that you've drawn)?
[A]- The original TERROR card is my favorite card that I've drawn. It
was the first card that I did when MTG first started as a ccg. Its also one
of the more successful iconic pieces that I've done.
[Q]-Who is your favorite other magic artist?
[A]- I enjoyed quite afew of the other magic artists, but to name a few
would be: Matt Wilson, Richard Kane Ferguson, Harold McNeill, and many
others!
[Q]-How long does take to produce the average MTG card art?
[A]- About 1-3 days, depending on the piece.
[Q]-how much do you get paid for making magic art?
[A]- The payments have varied through the years.
[Q]-How did you get started working for Wizards?
[A]- I was already working for Wizards on another project (a role playing
game) when Jesper the art director at the time, contacted me about a new
game they were developing (which is now MTG) and wondered if I'd be
interested in doing some pieces.
[Q]-I love your work on Rage and White Wolf's Werewolf:TA andTF (hehe,
W:TF, nice acronym). I think you're famous for your ability depicting
action scenes, muscles and fluids.
Did you try to specialize on this kind of artwork because you love it
or was doing so many of these pieces what made you so good?
What is your favorite game line or MTG expansion, in terms of what you
had to draw and how much you liked your work?
[A]- I've enjoyed all of the projects that I've worked on (I don't have
one certain expansion that I like the most). Some because they were a
challenge and some because they were fun and relaxing to work on. I've
always preferred the hands-on types of combat so illustrating werewolves is
what I enjoy!
[Q]-I have known from an interview that you taught yourself how to
draw. What advice(s) would you give to people who would like to learn
drawing but can't afford to do it formally?
[A]- Draw constantly!!! Shut off your tv and video games and go buy a
sketch pad. Learn to draw everything: people, chairs, cars, buildings, etc.
not just scary skulls, or anime. Take art classes (in high school) and if
possible in college. Develop an eye for details in everyday objects. Don't
give up or get discouraged!
[Q]-Which do you prefer to draw; "normal people" (Trap Runner, Trokin
High-Gaurd) or strange, chaotic stuff like Vebulid?
[A]- Its all alot of fun and it keeps me challenged to do a variety of
stuff. Normal figures can be tough cause I'm always trying to put them in
extreme poses while the weird monsters are a challenge because its important
to come up with mutations that people have never seen before.
This is a huge private question, kinda like asking how much you get paid. So don't be offended if he does not want to answer.

I know... I just ask because anyone considering getting into an art career may want to know, and I am in no way trying to be offensive with this question, only that I have wondered how much commision artists usually get paid ever since we watched art career videos in my 7th grade art class

I know you've also worked on RPG artwork for what some would consider "underground" games, such as Talislanta... Do you prefer working for larger companies such as WoTC or for small independent games?

If there was one Magic card that you'd love to do the art for, what Magic card would that be?
