"Cy!" Terry ran to his poor Scyther, knocked away from the stampede. Apparently he wasn't really hurt, and Terry breathed a sigh of relief.
After he collected his friend, he backed off from the stampeding herd and watched as it headed toward town. "What can we do, Cy?"
Cy gave him a determined look and got up, dragging Terry along along toward town again. "You're right, Cy," Terry said approvingly. "If we ever plan on getting strong, we're going to need to be close to where the action is."
Terry ran headlong towards town, following the stampede.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
Malcolm blinked as the trainer with the Scyther headed into town. "I'm not so sure that was a good idea...what should we do now? Head for the source of the Tauros' fright, or head into town to help that trainer?"
Damian watched Lance make a fool of himself and shrugged it off. He didn't want to stick around here.
He looked at the source of the Tauros stampeed and walked close to the tree line as he got near.
However, bad ideas are what Lance was known for, and this was no different. If he got hurt in his effort to bull-surf, then so be it. He was still moving towards the stampede, ready to jump up and swing on their horns onto one's back at the moment needed.....
"Pfft. How irresponsible," Malcolm grumbles as he watches some other trainers attacking the frightened Tauros. Wordlessly, and without waiting for the man beside him, Malcolm makes his way further on, in the opposite direction of the stampede.
Alex looks back to FINALLY see Malcolm coming up. "Bout time friend, was wondering if you were coming." He gestures at the trainers attacking the stampede. "Moths to a flame, eh?"
"'S all right Malcolm. Nah, I haven't seen anything suspicious. I tried flagging down that guy," pointing to a trainer in the distance going the same way as they, "but to no avail. I'm just curious as to what the deal is."
"I suppose we should work our way further in, then." Malcolm releases Bram, who plops on the ground with a satisfied noise. "You stay close, little guy. This could get dangerous."
Nodding for Alex to follow, Malcolm makes his way up the path, trying to avoid any stray Tauros.
I'm officially saying that the Tauros haven't made it to the town yet.
Lance, unless he's a master at this sort of thing, would need rescuing from the predicament he put himself in. Those tauros are moving at too fast a pace to really get on top, and he'd impale himself if he tried. Luckily, he's saved by a mis-timed tackle from an Onix which sends him safely onto the sidelines.
That Onix, post-tackle, makes an interesting problem for the Tauros. They aren't able to jump it, it'd be hard to go around as a herd... They try to just plow through it unsuccessfully. So the herd is mostly stopped. However, in the back, they're still moving and crashing into each other.
Malcolm and his friends see a glimpse of a man in black clothing holding a strange object. However, he's far in the distance, and doesn't stay around for long. Quickly he disappears, increasing the distance between him and the trainers. Much at the same time they notice someone else at the back of the herd. A pokemon rancher, waving his hat and trying to round up the tauros with two Mightyena.
Damian watched as the strange man dissapeared. "Rotom? You see that?" He said as he turned to see the Rancher with the mightyena. He was rounding up the tauros, they must have been his. "Well, that Onix sure did a good job stopping those Tauros."
Tony just returned to the scene of the blockade, where a pokémon Ranger was doing his best to control the herd. Light was fading fast, so Tony pulled out his flashlight and got ready to help with anything that the Ranger might need.

Sorry about the earlier assumptions. I have spoiler-edited my posts retroactive to leaving the Pokemart and pick up the story there.
Aron and Phille made their way onto Route 205, where they were met by a strange blockade. That was an... Onix... lying in front of... Tauros... and the Tauros were still coming.
That certainly explains the rumbling.
To the trainer and his Pokemon, it looked like most of the work had already been done. Aron motioned for his Phanpy to follow him up to a cowboy and his, also according to the Pokedex, were two Mightyenas.
More than a little bothered by all this, Malcolm picks up the pace and bolts for the stranger with the unidentified object. "Hey!" he called out, Bram close at hand, mimicking his actions.
While Lance certainly was not an expert in this sort of thing, he was very determined, and exceptionally lucky in these sorts of things. He'd have to be, or else he'd have been dead a long time ago. He takes a moment to recover from being bashed by the giant rock snake, thanking he had tumbled the right way, and ran at the now roadblocked tauros, trying again.
Lance has no trouble jumping on a Tauros at this point. Most of them have stopped and are milling about. But this just gets him yelled at by the Rancher.
The rancher who is rather appreciative of the efforts of the combined trainers, "Thank you!"
Malcolm, and anyone still with him, were having a hard time running down the stranger in black. He had a large lead on them, and was already heading into route 206.
"Not a problem, sir." Tony had done what he could what he could to help, which admittedly wasn't much. But he also knew that something was up. The boy with the Cubone had rushed off down route 206, potentially at whoever had started this mess...he was too far for Tony to catch up in any realistic amount of time, and light was almost gone...even with a flashlight, it was a bit too perilous for his tastes. Might as well get some information while he could. Tony scanned the Mightyena into his Pokédex, then turned to the rancher.
"What happened? Is there a Tauros Ranch around here? and if not, then do you have any idea where they all came from? I thought they were supposed to be pretty rare." The rancher was probably the only one who had any answers; except for the mysterious man the other boy chased, Tony doubted he'd be talking anytime soon...

Torey sprints up to one that seemed to be not following the rest of the herd.
"Onix! This'll be fun. Charge this Tauros for me, will ya?"
Onix charged and tackled the Tauros from behind.
