"Hmm, let me see what I can find here." The Professor stood and began rummaging through a couple boxes, and then produced a PokeDex, two Pokeballs, and a Puddle Ball. "This should be enough to get you started. I'm Professor Foxwood, by the way. Do you have any questions beofre you get started?"
"Thank you, it's nice to meet you." Scko said as he graciously accepted the assortment of items. "Actually, would you happen to know where the nearest gym is?
"Well, the one here has been closed for some time. The nearest active ones would be across the bay in Newbloom, or over in Osiers. Route 1 takes you to an intersection, with one branch going to Newbloom, and the other to Osiers."
After a bit of walking, and much sightseeing, Lime made it to the Professor's lab. It was a little later than he would have hoped but he figured later was better than never.
Lime walked through the doors to see a professor working on a computer. Lime bowed politely as he was taught to, "Excuse me, you wouldnt happen to be professor Foxwood, would you?"
The people that play legacy / vintage always amuse me. They want their formats to be represented more. They want more tournaments. But when anyone suggests allowing more people access to the formats by reprinting cards, the same people start screaming about the reprint policy.
"Yes I am," Lime said pulling a pokeball from his pocket, "And this is my pokemon, mankey." A Flash appeared and mankey came out from the pokeball.
Lime looked at his surroundings. There were all kinds of machines and computers in the room. Lime couldnt tell what anything was. On top of the countless machines, there were just as many boxes. Despite the boxes being marked, he really wasnt sure what was in the boxes.
"I heard that you are the person to talk to become a pokemon trainer," Lime continued, "I hail from Johto, but my parents told me that i should start in an unfamiliar region, so I chose Risin."

"I see. Johto is a nice area, I spent some time there a few years ago. But anyway, I digress from the current situation." Foxwood rustled through a drawer of the desk, and produced some items for Lime. "Here you go. A PokeDex, which is fairly easy to operate, and few pokeballs to start you on your way. There's really only two ways to go from here, either taking the ferry to Newbloom, or walking the Routes to Newbloom or Osiers."
As the professor mentioned the word ferry, Lime, and mankey, got a bit sea sick. Because Lime was unfamiliar with the area, it probably didn't matter which city they went to next.
" I will probably just walk to one of the towns. I am not sure which one yet. I am looking for one pokemon in particular though. Where is the closest place i could find a machop to catch?" Lime asked, "I am looking to become a fighting type pokemon trainer."

"Hmm, a Machop?" the Professor said, as he looked again at his computer screen, tapping a few keys in the process. "Unfortunately, the only place they have been spotted so far is to the far north in Glacias Caverns. It's possible they could be elsewhere, but Risin is still being explored at the moment."
"Ah so they are far away. Looks Like ill have to find other fighting pokemon on my way,"Lime sighed, "if not, i may have to use non-fighting pokemon like my parent's said."
Lime then looked down at the items the pokemon professor handed to him. In his hands were 3 pokeballs and a rectangular item, one of the pokeballs had a different color, but he thought it was just a different design. He was never interested in these things as a child, so he didn't know about different pokeballs.
"So this is a Pokedex, eh?" Lime carefully studied the small, book-like pokedex,"My parents have something similar to this, but theirs looks more like a giant encyclopedia than this."
After chatting with the professor and learning how to use the pokedex, Lime and mankey bowed to the professor, thanked him for all his help and continued to walk out of the lab.
"Oh crap mankey. I forgot to call mom and dad. We better call them, but before i forget, I'ma use the pokedex on you."
Lime pulled the pokedex out, used it on mankey, and then they both ran to the pokemon center.
ooc: I assumed i got the same thing as everyone else. also, continuing in the pokemon center.

Walking out of the forest he awoke in, Evan wandered around with his partner, Eve, getting to know one another, when, emerging from the forest, he sees other people entering and exiting a building.
"I wonder what is going on over there, eh Eve? Maybe we should go check it out."
"Eev, veee, eevee!"
"Your right, we should be careful."
Wondering what was going on, he cautiously walks up to the entrance, avoiding the people coming and going, and quietly enters the building.
"Hello? What's going on? What is this place? Do you need some help?"
"I guess I am. You wouldn't happen to know who I am would you? My name is Evan Stone, or at least I think it is, or would you happen to regognize this Eevee? If not, that's okay..."
"(Disgruntled)VEE!"
"Sorry, would happen to regognize my friend called EVE?"
Turning his head towards Eve, he says, "There, is that better?"
Satisfied, she gives a simple purr and says, "Eeevee"
"Anyways, if you don't know me, perhaps you can help me. In the long run, I'm trying to find out who I am, and where I come from, maybe even find my family. Besidess that, I want to find more friend like Eve, maybe even do a little exploring."
Outside the lab, trying to stay out of the way of some of the workers who were busy unpacking and sorting through boxes, Aiden stood with his hands in his pockets looking at everything that was going on. Growlithe had since plopped himself down on the ground, sitting with an almost indifferent air, its head twisting back and forth as it looked around for something to amuse its attention.
One of the workers had put down his box and looked over at Aiden, but didn't say anything; Aiden could only return the gaze curiously, and then looked back at the building. Shrugging, he turned to his partner. "Think the professor'd be too busy to see us, bud? Looks like he's unpacking."
A loud bark was his only response, as Growlithe stood back up, bushy white tail wagging as it took a couple of steps towards the building, hesitating away from the workers moving around.
Sighing, Aiden adjusted the strap on his shoulder, shifting the weight on his backpack to something more comfortable, and walked towards the door of the lab, being careful to avoid disturbing anyone before knocking on the open door. "Hello? Professor?"
@ DragonBuster: Aiden notices an older gentleman in a labcoat speaking with a young boy and his Eevee by a computer terminal.
-----------------------
@ silverthorn: "Hmm . . . I'm sorry, but I don't recognize either of you. But if it's training and exploring you wish to do, that I can help you with." Foxwood produced a PokeDex, two Pokeballs, and a Puddle Ball for Evan.
Quietly, Aiden steps back out of the door, dodging another mover on his way as he takes a few steps back, hovering a few yards away from the door to wait. Growlithe, tongue hanging slightly in a pant, promptly collapsed himself down next to his trainer, content with sitting and watching the movers work.
Aiden reached down to pet the top of his head, and smiled. "S'ok, buddy...soon's the professor's done in there, we'll speak to him. Don't want to bug, eh?"
Evan takes the Items that the man in the labcoat, "Prof. Foxwood"
Standing for a few seconds, Evan suddenly remembers the man's name, his description, and some things he doesn't think he should know about the man, but keeps it to himself.
"And thanks for these..."
"A Pokedex, Pokeballs, and a Puddle Ball."
Again remembering things he didn't think he knew, Evan ponders this a bit, and says, "Pokeballs, Puddle Ball, and this newly done Pokedex. And please, don't ask me how I knew that. I don't even know myself. I can find my own way out, and just so you know, there's another trainer outside with a Growlithe that wants to see you."
Evan said this last part without even thinking about it, like he knew with 100% certainty that it was true.
With that, Evan turns and exits the Lab, passing the man with the little fir pup.
Seeing his opportunity now open, Aiden walked back up to the door, gently knocking on it again, his Growlithe walking slowly behind him. "Excuse me, professor?"
"Ah!" Momentarily surprised at how the professor had appeared by the door, Aiden unconsciously stepped back. He'd assumed the man was going to be inside where he was, when he was talking to that other trainer; apparently, assuming isn't always the best idea.
Growlithe hesitated as well, what discipline it had overriding the curiosity to walk up to the professor. Instead, it sat down again, somewhat behind Aiden, his tail swaying slowly to and fro as it looked up at the both of them.
Aiden extended his hand, recovering his composure enough to smile. "Sorry if I'm being a bother, professor; I had read a sign near the port saying something about you just moving in, and it mentioned trainers to stop by."
"Oh, yes, that's right. There's a couple flyers near the ferry. Come in, please," Foxwood said as he held the door open for Aiden. Some machinery was unpacked and operation, others still sat in their boxes. It looked like an organized disaster, the way any building looks when it is newly completed, and the occupants have just moved in.
OOC:: Might as well experiment with color tags and find one that'll work. Hehe.
"Seems like you're, um...moving in nicely," Aiden joked humorously, smiling as he turned his head back and forth, surveying the building. It was nice, to be sure; probably perfect for what the professor wanted.
Growlithe padded up to one of the open boxes, looking inside curiously, its tail swaying to and fro. Aiden ignored him for the moment, though, and turned back towards the professor. "I guess I should be upfront and say I'm not a true-to-form trainer, professor...more like a guy who just happens to...how shall I say...make friends with them?" Laughing, he slid a hand behind his head, somewhat embarrassed. "I don't really...have a goal for any sort of adventure like a lot of trainers have, I just...want to travel and see what's out there."
Sighing, he put his hands into his pockets, his lips curling upwards slightly. "Not sure if I'm the type of guy that'll do all that trainer stuff yet, but...maybe someday."
Kieron stopped right in front of the unfinished laboratory, and ventured his way past the movers and their burly Pokemon. It had been a long boat ride from Hoenn all the way to Risin, so he was slightly groggy from a lack of sleep.
"Ay! I'm supposed to meet a professor or something when I get here right?" he says aloud to the nearest person to him in a breezy Hoenn accent.
