On the outskirts of town sits a new building, still with leftover construction materials strewn about. A simple brick building, steel roof, modest wooden deck around the outside, though it still rivals the expansive Pokemon Center in size. Inside, there are 10-12 large cardboard boxes, and about the same number of smaller ones scatered around the building. In the far corner sits a computer desk and a couple system machines that resemble the Pokemon Storage System, the lovely device that lets a trainer retrieve his or her pokemon from any computer terminal. There's the scent of fresh mortar and paint throughout, despite the open windows.
"This is it, huh?" Jerrin asks. He stares around at the equipment in the lab, and decides he wouldn't be able to understand what most of it does if he asked.
Livian Port is mispelled in the thread title ;).

"I'm sorry this isn't a more tidy place, but construction just finished on it. Now let me see here . . . " Foxwood said as he started rummaging through a couple boxes by the computer terminal. After a minute, he stood up with a double handful of items. "Here we go, every trainer's essentials. A brand new Pokedex for each of you, and a few balls to help you catch something as you go to the next towns. Now, do either of you have any questions about the area?"
Jerrin and Reese each receive a Pokedex, two Pokeballs, and a Puddle Ball.

Reese takes the items and puts everything in his pack but his Poke'dex. He starts fiddling with it. "Well Uh...Yes I have two, the first being how do I use Poke'balls? Secondly, What is a puddle ball?"
"Well, pokeballs in general are very straightforward to use. When you battle a wild pokemon and you think you have weakened it enough, you throw a ball at it. If you time it right, and with a little luck sometimes, the pokemon will be caought in the ball for you to use afterwards," said Foxwood. "Puddle Balls are something my lab has been working on for a while now. It's a pokeball geared toward pokemon whose main method of movement is swimming. It actually creates several small puddles in the immediate area that the pokemon can jump between when battling, if there is no nearby water. So far, the tests are quite promising."
Jerrin looks at the pokedex to figure out what it's capable of. "Like this," Jerrin says, popping his Relicanth out of it's puddleball where it flops into one of the new pools that appear on the ground. The Relicanth swims in small circles on the surface happily.

"Yes, exactly. The Pokedexes are rather ingenious devices, letting you track your seen and caught pokemon, not to mention the infinite applications that can be put on them. Was there anything else, while you both are here?"
Donnie ran into the lab and up to Professor Foxwood and friends. He turned to Reese (OOC: Pet Snake):
"Yo, broski, I'm happy for you and Imma let you finish but my adventure will be the most epic adventure of all time! OF ALL TIME! Anyways," Donnie continued, turning to Professor Foxwood, "I want to go on an epic adventure but I'll need your help. I've already drawn up a general game plan but I'll need equipment: pokeballs, a Pokedex, potions, food, water, portable tents, portable stovetops, maybe a couple of trophy girls for eyecandy, I don't know. I need money, too. Could you loan me a couple grand? Or else help me in any other way, dawg?"
Donnie was clearly ecstatic, as was his cyndaquil (nicknamed Sindaquil).

Um...2 things...
1)
2) How are you in two places at once?
EDIT: My bad, didn't see your weird exit at the Pokemon Center
"Well, what did the two of you travel to Risin for? What is it that motivates you?" Professor Foxwood leaned up against a wall beside the box he had just sifted through, and looked intently at the two young men before him. A third, rather boisterous young trainer came into the lab, and Foxwood looked up at him. "Excuse me, but can I help you? This isn't really a public building."
Reese looked back at Professor Foxwood. "Well, Its sort of a family tradition to go and catch a Scyther. I really didn't want to, so I decided to come this way. If my dad found out I was here, well...lets say it wouldn't be pretty...What about you?" He glances back at Jarrin. <Enter Kanye West>
"Dude, one time I caught practically a thousand scythers! But, like I said, Professor Foxwood, I need some equipment so my cyndaquil, nicknamed Sindaquil, and I can go on our epic adventure. You want me to list what I want again?" Donnie asked, trying to be as helpful as possible.
"Hmm, a possible Scyther trainer, eh? Those are hard to find, but I hope you manage to get one. They are quite a strong member of any team. And a Gym Leader? What a coincidence, we need one here. The Livian Gym has been closed for years, it would be nice if there was another one in the area. As for where to go, I would suggest the store, and start out on Route 1 to either Osiers Town or Newbloom Bay." The Professor turned to face the newcomer and his Cyndaquil. "My, you're an eager one, aren't you? Let me take a look in here," he said as his head disappeared into a box again. He came out again holding a red device and three balls, one of which was a watery blue colour. "Here you go, one Pokedex, two pokeballs, and a special Puddle Ball. Do you have any questio- erm, one minute. . . " he said as he answered the knock on the door.
@ Pringlesman: An older gentleman in a labcoat answers the door. Behind him you see three trainers, standing patiently near a computer desk. "Hello, how may I help you?"
Donnie tried to release the Pokemon in the two pokeballs and puddleball he received. Nothing happened. He was a bit annoyed but mostly confused.
"Hey, Professor! I know you're busy and all but I think the pokeballs you gave me are defective! There aren't any Pokemon inside!" he yelled towards the doorway. "Also, when will I be getting my trophy girls?"
"Well, you've come to the right place. Please, come in." Foxwood turned to the impatient trainer as he and the newcomer walked over to the group. "There's nothing inside them because you have to catch your own. If I gave everyone who came by a handful of Pokemon, then I'd have nothing left for my research. If you're looking to catch some, I suggest going out on a Route and seeing what you can find."
Donnie looked over to the couple that just came in. He saw the man that broke his heart and a cute girl he assumed could only be a trophy girl Professor Foxwood was giving him.
"Hey! Is that for me?!" Donnie asked aloud as he approached the blond woman. He focused his attention on her. "Hi! My name is Donnie and I am your new friend!" He winked, then thrust his hips a couple of times suggestively.
