just watched this guy win a game after mulliganing down to zero and doing nothing for four turns in the t8 of a 2x premier event. I immediatly Imed a friend to confirm Chuck Noris actually plays Magic.
As Luke walked down the path, there was another buzzing to his side. Distinctly different from the last buzzing he had heard not so long ago, this one sounded stationary on a nearby tree.
Happy to see yet another oppurtunity, he sent out scorupi again hoping that he wasn't too tired from his previous battle. He threw a rock to see if he could flush out whatever is nearby.
OOC:
Sorry if my grammars off, i posted this when it was late in the night...

Between the noise Skorupi was making, and Luke's well placed rock, they managed to flush out a little insect creature into the open space of the route. It stood on the path, wings and antennae twitching in the breeze.
Turning off of Rt1 onto Rt3, with his ever faithful Eve asleep on his shoulder, Evan starts down the road, hoping not to run into to much trouble.
Trouble? Ha! I was getting into trouble by the time i was just out of diapers. This is nothin'!
Why do I keep thinking this way? It seems familiar, but I was put out of that life for a reason, and even if I don't know what that reason is, I don't know if I liked that life before. But I will use it to the best of my ability I guess.

@ silverthorn: A small green creature with a leaf sprouting from its forehead was frolicking in the grass nearby.
---------------------------------------
@ cello: Nincada, the trainee pokemon. Sometimes living underground for 10 years, it absorbs nutrients from nearby tree roots. A bug-ground type pokemon.
"hmmm... its on my list but im not sure if my team has enough strength left" He thought to himself. He than decided to send out roselia to see if it had any strength left...

@ cello: The Nincada buzze anxiously at Roselia. It seemed to be unsure of whether to battle, or pollenate the roses.
--------------------------------------
@ silverthorn: Chikorita, the leaf pokemon. Using the leaf on its head, it can determine humidity and temperature with ease. It also likes sunbathing. A grass-type pokemon.

Stooping low, Evan pulls out his pokeballs, and, using the scanning function, he checks to see how the health of his team is, to see if they can handle this new pokemon.
@ cello: The absorb attack hit Nincada and sapped some health from it, but not enough to keep it from hardening its shell and getting its claws ready for a fight.
----------------------------------------
@ silverthorn: OOC: I guess they can? I'm not really sure how to respond to that.
Chikorita stopped at the noise Evan made, and looked at him with it's large eyes. It's leaf stood perfectly still, not even rustling in the slight breeze that came up.
OOC: In the D&P generation of the show, one of ash's rivals does that to see which swellow is the better one. it checks health, attack power, moves, things like that. So can i determine if my team can hadle it?
OOC: Oh, it's been a long time since I've seen the show. . . . I'd think your team could handle a Chikorita, it's around the average power level of your team.

@ silverthorn: OOC: You don't HAVE to encounter the Chikorita. This is a freeform, so it's possible that your team could take it down with clever RP and writing. Just saying
--------------------------------------------
@ cello: He was correct in thinking bugs were resistant to poison, as the stings appeared to do very little in the way of damage to Nincada. It proceeded to uncurl itself and charge it at the Roselia with its claws, trying to make tossed salad of the little plant pokemon. (scratch)

@ cello: The attack seemed to cause Nincada to stray enough from its course that it only grazed Roselia on its way by. It stopped instead of circling around, and its carapace began to click together. (harden)

@ cello: The combination of attacks seemed to be the final blow for overwhelming Nincada. When the energy aura faded away, the insect was barely able to remain in its legs as its joints were clearly shaking from the weight. (red)
----------------------
@ Trokair: Hanna heard a bird chirping in a nearby tree. On closer inspection, it was a small bird with two tails and a bright red chest that was the cause of the chirping.

@ Trokair: Taillow, the tiny swallow pokemon. It possesses a gutsy spirit, allowing it to challenge tough foes. It flies in search of warm climates. A flying-type pokemon.
The Taillow continued chirping away, unaware of Hanna's approach.
------------------------------
@ cello: The pokeball landed on Nincada, enveloping it in light as it was brought within the sphere. The ball twitched on the ground for a moment, and stopped with a soft chime.
