Exiting from Route 1, this path takes you to Osiers Town to the east. As the path is travelled, the rolling countryside gives way to damp, murky swampland. The faint stench of rotting vegetation, combined with the relative humidity of all the fetid water, makes for a somewhat miserable walk. It's a wonder that anyone still inhabits Osiers if they have to deal with this on a daily basis.

Route 2 exits onto Routes 1 or 3 to the west, or Osiers Town to the east.
Assuming that avoiding the last encounter still counts, I get to move on here.
Jerrin walks onto route two, "Almost to Osiers now." he says to the air. Which, he now notices, is taking on a fairly murky stench. "This whole region." he mutters with a small grin.

Yeah, it counts. Your encounter, your choice And sorry, I missed this the other day >_<
An Oddish came scampering out from the grasses nearby. It ran directly into Jerrin's leg, and bounced off into the dirt. Looking up at the trainer, it tilted its fan of leaves to the side, swinging them in the air. "Odd?" It has a confused look on its face, as if it was thinking This wasn't here an hour ago, where did it come from?
"Oddish?" The little green pokemon continued looking at Jerrin as the 'Dex spoke. Oddish, the weed pokemon. It often plants its root feet in the ground during the day, and sows seeds as it walks about at night. A grass/poison pokemon. At the sound of the electronic voice, it dashes behind your leg, putting your leg between itself and the pokedex.
The Oddish shook its head from side to side, its leaves making spiral patterns above its head. "Odd odd oddish odd," it said, still tucked behind Jerrin's leg.
Jerrin pats the little pokemon on the head. "Well, I'm not sure what your deal is, but I have to get going." he tells Oddish. He stands up, and starts to walk away down the path.

A sharp, screeching call can be heard as Jerrin walks away, followed by "OOOOOOOODDDDDDD!!!!!" The little creature runs streaking past Jerrin again, almost tripping him up as the leaves brush through his legs, with a bird in hot pursuit.
All Jerrin could hear was "odd-odd-odd-odd-odd-odd" as the little weed pokemon disappeared into some nearby bushes. The bird let out another loud screech as it began to circle, looking for it's lunch that might have gotten away.
Pidgey, the tiny bird pokemon. It is docile and prefers to avoid conflict. If disturbed, however, it can ferociously strike back. A flying pokemon.
It became apparent that the little bird was not actually screeching, but just had an unusually loud call. The little bird, upon seeing the threat of the Relicanth leaping toward it, summoned a gust of dirt and wind to defend itself as it rose to what might have been a safe height.
Relicanth falls a few inches short of reaching the Pidgey and gets slightly battered by the wind attack at the same time. "Get back in a puddle Relicanth." Jerrin commands, "It can't get Oddish without coming back down."
The rock-fish flaps its body once on the soft soil and flips into a puddle where it sits and watches the Pidgey fly overhead.

The Pidgey appeared to have forgotten about the little Oddish, as it turned to face Relicanth head-on. With a terribly loud cry, the tiny bird came streaking down toward the fish, wings folded back against it's sides. (Quick attack)
Relicanth gets hit on the head by the Pidgey but appears fine. "Tackle it now," Jerrin calls. The pokemon tosses itself out of the puddle, above the Pidgey, and aims to land on top of it before it can fly away.

A loud thud accompanies the tremor Relicanth makes as its tackle connects and drives the Pidgey into the ground. It doesn't stop the tiny bird, however, as it begins to kick up a storm of dirt and debris, trying to hide itself from the much larger creature. The struggling Pidgey somehow manages to free itself from the pin, and disappears into the storm it created. (sand attack)
Relicanth swipes his tail across the ground, flinging mud toward the whirling sand to either hit the Pidgey or interfere with the cloud of dust. (Mud-slap)
The spray of mud splattered across Pidgey's face, causing it to stop it's movement. Trying to shake the mud from its face, the tiny bird turned its back toward the Relicanth briefly as the cloud of sand settled again.
The Pidgey tumbled with the hit, rolling into a small patch of grass nearby. It appeared to struggle a bit as it took to the air again, and tried to summon a gust of wind to knock Relicanth around. It was flying lower than before, clearly starting to show signs of exhaustion.
With another loud THUD!!, Relicanth gain drove the wild Pidgey into the dirt. As it rolled off, it was very clear at this point that Pidgey wouldn't be much more trouble. It laid there on the ground, with enough strength to turn and look at its opponent. It's breathing was strong, but appeared to just lack any more energy for battling. (HP red-zone)
Turning on to Route 2, Atticus and Sneasel soon noticed a distinct change in the climate. While Route 1 had been pleasant, Route 2 showed that it could be quite the opposite. Between the stench and the humidity, traveling down the route promised to be less than fun. Nevertheless, the duo kept on walking toward Osiers.
There was a very good reason for the smell as soon as the pair stepped onto the Route to Osiers. A smallish creature came trotting out of a nearby patch of foliage. It stopped in the middle of the road in front of Sneasel, raising it's purple tail so the beige-coloured stripe was plainly visible. It's attention seemed focused on Sneasel, as if Atticus didn't exist in it's little world. (Focus Energy)

Knowing Relicanth won't be able to keep up, Jerrin takes off after them, shouting, "Hide Oddish, Hide somewhere!"
Relicanth leaps out of its puddle toward the circling bird.

"Rela!" The fish pokemon responds in its deep voice, and dives into the Pidgey's back.
The Relicanth hops over the feeble wind the Pidgey blew and falls toward the bird.
