Along the outskirts of Piper city, like a relic of the more hardship-enduring days, stands an abandoned warehouse. Rusted sheet-metal exterior with flaking paint everywhere, some windows are boarded up, others are broken with glass littering the ground in the immediate areas underneath. Strangely enough, the large double doors seem to be well maintained, and there's relatively fresh markings on the concrete in front of it.
Ryan skids to a halt in front of the warehouse, taking it in with his eyes. He frowns as his eyes trace over the double doors, and he kneels down to examine the markings in front of it.
The trail Ryan followed appeared to be lost in all the other random markings, but there were distinct sets. Some appeared to be like giant boulders that shuffled about, and occasionally spots of the pavement would feel warmer than usual and show some slight scorch marks.
A dull roar from inside the warehouse got his attention. There was definitely something inside, and whatever it was, it was BIG.
Ryan purses his lips. Hm. Really should investigate that, but it'd be a bad idea right now. I'm out of supplies, and Vulpix's tired. I'll come back later - I already know where it is.
He turns on his heel and begins searching for the nearest town. Where the heck am I, anyways?
OOC: Oops, need to make the usual town threads >_< Getting right on that
When Ryan spun on his heels, he noticed the city looming beyond the warehouse. With all the heat and piping in the area, it was fairly obvious this was the rumoured Piper City, home of the industrialization, and consequently the increasing pollution, of Risin.
As Ryan circles the warehouse, a rumbling can be heard from the front doors. As they slowly opened, a pair of large vehicles exit and head down the road into Piper City. The doors are still opening as the vehicles are lost to sight, but once they had fully opened, they begin to close. No guards are in sight, inside ot out.
Ryan doesn't hesitate. As soon as he can't see the vehicles anymore, he charges for the doors. He doesn't charge straight in, though. As he gets closer, he slips inside, staying close to the wall.
Once inside, Ryan realized just how expansive this wareohuse really was. A large ramp led up to the entryway he just came through, and the walls were lined with all manner of things. Cages from very small to monstrously large, one wall had what appeared to be a sort of motor pool with different vehicles in varying states of repair. On the far side of the space, however, elevator doors had just finished closing, the lights above the door showing that it was apparently gonig down to the level below where Ryan stood. Another dull roar could be heard, this time shaking the floor.
Ryan's not liking this. Only one way in, one way out. Good for security, bad for him.
Might as well try and minimize his chances of getting caught. He moves in front of the elevator and watches the lights for a bit. Hopefully, someone will be coming up again soon.
Spotting the lights, Ryan ducks around the side of the elevator. Trying to find somewhere where he can see whoever's coming out, yet not be spotted at first glance.
Okay, I wasn't sure if you had changed or not since the sub.
When the elevator reached the main floor, the doors opened and several people dressed in red and greyish-black walked out to a nearby vehicle. The engines started as they entered, and the vehicle turned to go out the warehouse doors.
The elevator doors started to close, but no lights indicated it was destined for another floor at this point.
The doors close, and the elevator began to move down the the indicated floor. The ride was smooth and uneventful, if not dull from the lack of music. After a moment, it came to a stop with the doors opening to reveal an expansive laboratory area, with all kinds of different machines and boxes in the room. The ceiling must have been several stories overhead, judging by the catwalks and raised platforms crisscrossing the open spaces. That roar Ryan heard outside and aboveground was much louder now, as if the creature causing it was in this very room.
There's sounds of people working away, but nobody you can immediately see. There's crates stacked several layers high in places, one in others, and machines of all shapes and sizes, so visibility is anywhere from directly in front of you, to about 30-40 feet ahead. Right now, there's many things blocking your view across the floor, but there's also a large station stocked with labcoats and other safety gear, and a staircase to the catwalk areas nearby, appearing to be just on the other side of a pile of machines near you, against a wall.
For all the noise in the area right now, it appeared that there was very few workers about at the time. The directions Ryan looked down had not a soul walking them. It looked like he was free and clear to grab a labcoat and change unnoticed.
Ryan hurries over to the labcoat station and grabs one of the labcoats and some of the safety gear. The Aqua hat comes off and is stuffed in a pocket, and the labcoat and some of the safety gear goes on. He makes sure to fasten the labcoat closed so that the shirt he'd taken wasn't showing.
That done, Ryan looks around to see if he can figure out where those noises from earlier were coming from.
It was quiet for a moment, then a thunderous roar came from nearby that caused Ryan to flinch. The sound itself may have come from a couple 'booths' over; there was a clear shot down a pathway to where the noise most likely came from. Still nobody walked the area, almost like it was abandoned for some reason.
As Ryan approached the source of the noise without interruption, he rounded the corner to see a lab technician mumbling things to himself as he took notes. His subject was obviously not happy with the situation, which was apparent by the way its long, sinewy body thrashed around. It's blue-ish fins slapped harmlessly along the floor, and what appeared to have been a sea-blue body was tinted a reddish-purple in spots where IV lines were attached to its body. It was unclear where the lines led, other than a large tank filled with some sort of liquid.
Ryan was there just in time for the creature to loose yet another ear-splitting roar.

Ryan watches the city for a bit, then walks towards it. After all, it won't do anything just because he's watching it. Probably.
And he really needs to get some supplies.
I'll just move over to the town threads now.
--------------
Back from getting supplies, Ryan returns to the warehouse.
First order of business: finding a way in. He circles the warehouse, looking for the aforementioned "way in".

(OOC: What's he wearing right now? Is it still the Aqua uniform stuff?)

Ryan follows the noise down the pathway, remaining wary. Something's up.
