Sofia tells you that most of the Gym Leaders will take a lot of convincing to band together. For one thing the higher level Pokemon that many of them posses are actually the property of the Ageosian Pokemon League not their own. That means that those Pokemon aren't allowed to leave their respective gyms. Additionally, most Gym Leaders are very dedicated to their communities and don't like leaving them in the relatively under-skilled hands of their trainers.
The only way you're going to get the Gym Leaders together is to talk to the leadership of the Ageosian Pokemon League in Trinity City.
How do you reply?
That was all Nicolette needed to hear. "Then with your support in the matter, that's exactly where I'm going to go." Nicolette gave her friend a big hug, and said her good-byes. "Wish me luck. I think mine was all used up again when a bunch of us escaped the desert temple. We would have been obliterated if it wasn't for some big, lightning-cat . . . . thing . . . . that showed up and told us to scoot."
Nicolette and Emberlace begin heading (southwest-ish?) down the route to Route 8 toward Crimson City.
After the shopping trip and successful trades, Frizz's search for items yielded a Super Potion.
Inside the Gym, the Leader blew Frizz a fake kiss before taking her position in the main arena of the pitch-black Gym.
After seeing Yahoola blow Erick's mind, none of the other trainers in the gym have the courage to stand up to Billy...except the Leader, Michael.
ooc: Sorry, not gonna let you farm money here.
Beryl asked the defeated trainer where Turtwig can be found. "Not 100 percent on this, but they should be in the plains well southwest of here, outside Myrtle Jungle. Maybe even inside. I dunno." After that, Beryl replaced the Lightning Rod. When she returned to the Ranger Station, she witnessed Josh's transformative sequence with Swift, as well as Josh mounting up and taking off to the east for some "combat exercises," as Swift put it.
"We should have things under control now," the Joys and other nurses replied. "We really appreciate what you did for us--couldn't have done it without you."
With that, the nurses allow Geoff to leave and do as he saw fit.
Derick finally arrived at Crimson City. Given the Serpent raids, the city wasn't in too bad of a shape.
What do?
Nicolette and Emberlace finally arrived at Crimson City, the fire-type finding a Lum Berry along the way. Given the Serpent raids, the city wasn't in too bad of a shape.
Flashes of electricity bright as the sun became more frequent. When they had faded, Josh's Dragoon Spear and Dragoon Armor became a bright yellow, both crackling with electricity. Telling him not to gawk over it too much, Swift asked Josh to jump on, taking him to a point in the east area of the desert. When he decelerated and stopped near the corner of a mesa, Josh asked what was going on. Swift replied as such.
{I can't help but feel the oppressive presence of a terrifying power nearby. Josh, we should consider getting out of here.}
I pick up the super potion, then fight a long battle...
OOC: The evolution mixup is still on my player card with the wigglytuff/steelix issue. No rush at all on this, just next update is fiiiiine.
OOC: One last note: Scymon is BL7, not BL6, I think he got reverted accidentally on his card when he evolved.
Josh clutched his spear and bravely rode forward. {Well, looks like you're getting a crash course in martial arts,} Swift joked to try to lighten the mood. Tucked behind a mesa were a horde of wild Pokémon, just as the Beast warned. From the cave behind them stomped a massive, armored Pokémon that created tremors with every step. It hissed and snarled at the new "hero". The horde formed a semicircle around the mesa, preventing Josh and Swift from escaping battle easily. {They're not giving us much of a choice, either. Stay focused!}
Note: This battle is going to be used to test a new type of encounter. If you get a warning about being advised to leave an area and don't want your character to wipe, heed the warning.
"Is that...Josh?" Beryl couldn't believe how fast the boy had recovered. "Seems like he's also doing Dragoon training. As all of us should be. Ha, I said 'us'...bet he'd be surprised that I'm a Dragoon. Well, I shouldn't bother him. At least with Raikou keeping an eye on him nothing too bad is going to happen."
Beryl left the desert and headed as far west toward El Ectri City as her feet could carry her. As the sun was setting, she made camp within sight of the city and sparred with Cheeri, ever-watchful of any potential encounters.
OOC: Sorry, I'm not trying to farm money, I'm just trying to get a Gym Trainer encounter with more than one Pokemon. That way I could possibly involve one of my non-fully evolved Pokemon without having them annihilated and not really gain any experience. Unfortunately I keep rolling such that I haven't gotten to try that.
Derick quickly attempts to make his way to the research lab, preying that it hadn't been destroyed in the attack. Hoping his delay in getting here didn't ruin his chances of getting his data checked out. If it is there and the scientists are as well, he will tell them about his data he needs to unlock and attempt to get it off the PokeTool and analyzed.
After the close scrape with death, Josh will use his Revive on Swift, then make a beeline for the closest town to get medical attention for Swift, his team, and himself.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Nicolette and Emberlace finally arrived at Crimson City, the fire-type finding a Lum Berry along the way. Given the Serpent raids, the city wasn't in too bad of a shape.
Nicolette scoops up the berry and puts it in her satchel without really thinking about it. What IS on her mind, however, is how she'll get to Twilight City and on to the Trinity Isles. There appeared to be storms in the distance, as she considered using Gyarados again. There was also a sign for the ferry service nearby, swaying in the breeze coming off the water.
The first thing she really needed to do was lighten her bag. Nicolette checked for a reputable place to sell the copper relic, before heading to the Gym for a moment to talk to the leader about her intent.
You leave the desert and head west stopping just outside of Electri City on Route 14 (East) to catch your breath. You don't see anything interesting in the area.
What do you do next?
Yuo look around the city looking for survivors or stranded pokemon but do find any.
What do you do next?
Your battle continues...
You reach the lab, which has luckily escaped relatively unscathed. You talk to Dr. Sarina Reley about retrieving the data and she tells you that if should be possible but it might take a little while. As you leave the Poke tool with them to get its data taken care of you're left with some time to kill.
What do you do?
You head to El ectri (the closest city) as quickly as possible.
Once you're there you get Swift and your Pokemon fully heal. unfortunately it's going to take longer than expected due to the extensive nature of the wounds. You're left with some time to kill.
What do you do?
You sell your relic and then go to talk to Gym Leader Alexander. You find him in his Gilded-age gym training his Pokemon.
What do you say to him?

Beryl enters El Ectri City and is shocked by the extent of the devatation. "Oh my...what happened here?" She and Scout run through the city until the Sandslash's abilities detect the underground entrance to the Pokemon Center. Luckily, she discovers that Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, and the Gym Leader are okay, and that the PC facilities are still working although the Ferry remains out of commission.
Beryl deposits Trooper and Tundra into the PC and withdraws Slick and Rumble, giving Trooper's Eggant Berry to Slick and Tundra's Rawst Berry to Rumble.
She then looks around for any other Trainers who can tell her what happened or who might need her assistance, particularly in the location of the Ferry docks.
Beryl caught Josh's eye when he went in to get healed. "Beryl! You're alive!" Josh cried, the bandage-covered boy greeted the researcher. "I heard what happened all over the news, and I wish there was something we could do about it. We're just not strong enough yet!" He looked through the glass, into the procedure room where Swift was being treated. "He'll be alright. I just know it!"
"J--Josh??" Beryl didn't even recognize the boy at first, he was covered in so many bandages. She walked over to sit down next to him. "How is it that you constantly...actually, never mind that. There's something important I have to talk to you and Raikou about after you feel better. About the serpents. Raikou can correct me if I'm way off base on this, but I have a theory that the pillar and the shards were some type of ancient technology analogous to Poke Balls. That's why I need to contact the Poke Ball crafter in Harlequin City as soon as possible."
"I'm just glad to see you're okay, Beryl. Once Swift and I are feeling better, we'd be willing to take you to Harlequin City," Josh offered. "The reason I'm so banged up is Swift actually wants to fight for myself, since I know Dragoon techniques. I'm not sure why--just going with it."
Beryl nodded. "That makes sense. Cheeri and I have been practicing sparring ever since we left Celeste City. Once you're back on your feet, I'd be grateful for a lift to Harlequin. Just try not to exert yourselves too hard."
If Beryl cannot find any other Trainers, she will cast her Blue Lure by the Ferry docks and try fishing up some Pokemon:

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
New "next moves" for leveled up team members:
Lukas: Reversal
Tankia: Gyro Ball
Scymon: Iron Defense
OOC: A bunch of trainer card issues, probably because of you and Raikou switching off updates. My trainer card inventory should be: Pokédex, Great Ball x3, Black Apricorn, Potion x1, Revive x1, Moon Stone x1 and my money before the gym battle should be: 7100
After the battle, Frizz takes his team to the pokémon center for some much needed healing. He takes special care to congratulate Lukas on taking down a pokémon well above his experience, and Lukas seems to respond well, smiling and running around.
With that battle completed, Frizz takes a look at his team, taking pride in how far they've all come. He looks around town and decides its time to leave it behind, venturing up to the northernmost point on Route 16. In order to avoid the gaze of any legendary hydras, Frizz has Feelix use Mud Sport on him to allow him to camouflage, and keeps his pokémon in their pokéballs for this journey. Once they've cleared the danger zone, Frizz shakes off the mud and looks around for adventure. (Top 3 hopes: List pokémon, trainers/battle with multiple pokémon (double battle!?!), something quest-y)

Derick sighed, heading back out to kill some time, stopping by the pokemon center to rest his team a bit.
He looks around town a bit, and pauses upon seeing the gym, "Wow.... that... wow..." he spoke, the gilded gym impressing him somewhat, he heads inside a bit, maybe a battle would take his mind off things.

"Sounds fine," Josh replied to Beryl. "How about I give you a call when my team and I are feeling better? We'll head southwest to the jungle then." He took one more look at Swift before leaving the Center and checking out the status of the racing season--when it would start up again, and when he could get in one again. After that, Josh did some inventory cleanup:
Jenny's Letters should be out of his inventory. Those were given to the police as evidence. His spear is part of his equipment now (and is functional), so that can be removed from his inventory if you want. His Revive had been used on Swift, as well. Is it possible for him to store some of these old key items off site? They're cluttering up his inventory.
You sell your relic and then go to talk to Gym Leader Alexander. You find him in his Gilded-age gym training his Pokemon.
What do you say to him?
Nicolette tracked down Alexander, and explained to him what she was attempting. It wasn't going to be an easy task, but the more Gym Leaders who knew what was going on, the more it might help her case when she got to Trinity Isles.
She'll also ask about the fastest way to actually GET to Trinity Isles, since she has no idea where she's going at this point.
Legend Status:
Virikas: Southwest Ageos, Route 5 Southeast.
Hydrix: Northwest Ageos, Being repelled from the Victory Docks.
Yakshas: Northern Ageos, Route 16 Center.
The horrifying earthquakes created by Yakshas' tunneling and surfacing cause the camouflage to collapse away.
You can't help but feel the oppressive presence of a terrifying power nearby. You should consider getting out of here.
Will you stay here?
After deciding to flee, Frizz arrived in El Ectri City, only to see firefighters everywhere still making rescue attempts. Paid and volunteer firefighters and trainers seem to have the situation fairly under control, but give you a scowl when you ask for a Pokémon battle.
After stepping into one of the gaudy Gym's side rings, Derick found a muscled trainer eagerly awaiting a challenge.
After making arrangements with Josh and rearranging her party, Beryl headed to the docks in search of a water-type. After a few minutes, she landed a Remoraid.
When Geoff asked about the sacred bird Articuno, a handful of the staff on site laughed at him. When he finally got a serious answer, as well as answers about Beldum, all roads seemed to lead to Laurel City's university.
Alexander knew exactly what she wanted from the beginning. "You're not the frst person that's asked about it. Unfortunately, the way the Ageos League is set up, it is very difficult to leave the Gym for an extended period of time." He paused. "They're north of Twilight City, but there's another problem. No one can set foot on the Trinity Islands without at least eight Badges. Many trainers have more, as having more than eight Badges can get you byes in the Main Event. I'll make sure to pass on your message to anyone coming here who's qualified for the League though.
After Josh cleaned out his inventory, he inquired about when the racing season was going to start back up. The officials are getting some Trinity League trainers to keep the Serpents away from the track. They're going to be rescheduling all the races based on their movement patterns. After inquiring about it, he was added to their call list and would be notified by phone when a race would be scheduled.
After the battle, Beryl returned to the city and awaited Josh's call. She decided to check out the old location of the Dept. Store. Assuming any of their inventory had survived, she decided to purchase x2 TM13 (Ice Beam), x1 TM28 (Dig), and x1 Revive. "I hope this money helps in your rebuilding efforts." She then asked if she could assist them with anything else.
I'm very much getting out of here, heading toward El Ectri.
New next moves:
Lukas: Reversal
Tankia: Gyro Ball
Scymon: Iron Defense
EDIT: After a quick flee to El Ectri, Frizz found a city that was not quite as he expected. Through what he came to understand as a serious of recent unfortunate events, the Gaming corner was shut down, buildings were generally in states of burnt disrepair, and nobody was in a particularly good-seeming mood. Frizz walked through the still functional department store. Several things looked good to him, but he wasn't in the mood to spend money, really, so he passed on making any purchases. Instead, Frizz healed at the pokémon center just for good measure before heading to talk to the local authorities.
Of great concern to Frizz was the shutdown of the Game Corner. He asked if any efforts to reopen it as a legitimate business were being made, and if not, how he might go about starting that in motion, whether via petition or otherwise. After getting that information, he asks if there's any way he can help with recovery efforts. If not, he goes toward the gym to see if anyone is more battle-ready over there.
ooc: Giga, I edited my post finally. Couldn't sleep last night but completely forgot about this and the QBUs.
A few days later, Josh picked up his team and waved to Swift that he was finally ready to go. He had a couple bandages on him still but nothing severe. He called up Beryl. "I think we're ready. My team and Swift are all feeling fine. I'm still a little banged up, but not too bad now. We're meeting east of the city. I've had more than enough publicity, people calling me these silly things like "Hero" and "Chosen". If this is what being a celebrity is like, I'd rather not be one. Also, bring some goggles at the very least--maybe even a helmet with a visor if you have one."
