As you approach the manor shrouded in the ever lasting night of Sylvan, you get the distinct idea that something is amiss. Compared to the other locations of opulence and grandeur, this place seems just a little...less. It's lawns aren't quite as nicely taken care of, the paint seems to be ever so slightly in need of repair, and the gates are wide open more out them being stuck there from disrepair than actually being welcoming. Any who finally make it to the front door are greeted by a small orb of a man. He is bald, rotund, and would probably roll down the street if you gave him a little push.
Begins fiddling with the gates, using his mechanists tools to try and get them working properly.

Orb Man- "Oh my. So many questions so quickly...um...you needn't do anything about the gates...and um miss, could you stop...er decorating for us? It would be most appreciated. As for the lawn, it was inherited. Some kind of light infused grass seeds that can photosynthesize in the dark. Worked great...when there were mages feeding it magic everyday...but, I uh, I digress. If you are all here to see Sir Sepi, then please follow me." Orb man makes motions for everyone to come inside.
Theran looks mournfully at the still broken gate before following the Orb Man. Theran- Yessir.

Carter allowed the parade to pass him as everyone shuffled through the doorway after the rotund man, pressing himself to the side to get out of their way. Once Yack and his menagerie had pass he slink in behind the group, eyeing the collection of beasts warily.
Orb Man rotated his body mid step to get a glimpse behind himself a few times. Those gathered could hear the quiet mutterings to himself as they walked though the house,
Orb Man: "Oh my. Sepi sure has gotten a lot of responses to that advertisement. I do hope it will all work out.
They first went through the main foyer of the home, the floors covered in a thin film of dust. He then led them to a doorway behind the grand staircase that led to a flight of stairs down. Once they were all downstairs there was only a slight smell of mildew. The area was a decent sized wine cellar, although all the bottles were gone. To one side they saw a section that opened up to reveal another, albeit much smaller, room. From the room a man appears. He is a fairly tall human, standing at 6'3" with chiseled, unshaven features. He wore a dark blue suit with withe trim that had clearly seen better days, but was still in incredibly good shape. He clapped his hands together in greeting as he began to speak.
Sir Sepi: "Salutations adventure seekers! I do hope that you are all prepared for an experience like no other. Now I am sure you all have questions, so let me answer the basic ones first: This adventure is one you will be undertaking voluntarily, and your payment will be rendered once the item I seek is returned to me. While this task is not one that should be unduly dangerous, I must inform you that the last person I sent on it never did make it back." He lowers his head for a moment and lets out a small sigh of loss before continuing. "This all started when I found the room over there. You see, it wasn't on the plans for the house, and I had never been told of it before I inherited this place. When I did find it though, I also found what has got to be one of the most ancient pieces of art I have ever encountered. I was going to have it relocated to show it off, but as soon as my maid got near enough to it, she...hmm how best to say it...was sucked inside. That was when it started to move. The paint I mean, not the whole painting. Unfortunately, she had with her some other collectibles that were getting moved at the same time. So, now I seek that the most precious one be returned to me. It was my great-great-great grandfather's signet ring. So, further questions? He looked around the assembled.
Theran- Yes sir. Was the maid the only one in contact with the art that was sucked inside?

Sly fidgeted with one of his cuff links before nervously responding.
Sly - "You said you... Sent someone else in did you? How long ago was that? I should also like to know the skills of the one you sent in and why you think that when one gets sucked in they don't immediately die... If you please."
Carter, who had leaned himself against a wall and shoved his hands somewhere within the folds of his silk armour, pulled out a finger and pointed it at Sly.
Carter- Suit has a point. That painting of yours could just be hungry.
Sir Sepi: "I had feared the same when poor Alyssa was sucked in. She was the maid, and the one I said I sent in. As for skills, well she could cook a mean roast and keep the linens incredibly soft. I believe her not to be dead on accounts of as soon as she was sucked inside, she was incorporated to the painting. I ha said how the paint began to move, well it began to show the activities on the mountain like it were a window to its land. She was last seen running into the mountain from something I couldn't quite distinguish."
Sly - "So what you're saying is that you have no idea if the damn thing kills you or transports you, or transforms you. I don't suppose you are going in with us?"
Looks from Sly to Sepi. Theran- Do we know of a way out of the painting? If there's a way in, and a known way out, I think we can handle it.

Sir sepis had an alarmed look on his face for a moment. Then he regained his composure.
Sir Sepi: "Oh good heavens, no I am not any sort of adventurer. As for an exit, of course there is one. I don't know how it's activated, but I did see one of the beasts inside tossing her smock back and forth atop the mountain and when it landed at the apex it popped back out. So yes, there is a way out. So it certainly transports you, and the thing came back the same way it went in. Any other questions?"
Sir Sepi: "The ring is a gold band that has traces of silver creating a filigree pattern throughout. The has has the symbol of house Sepi on it." He point to a portion of his breast pocket that you now notice has a stitched symbol. "As for payment, as long as you get me the ring back, you are welcome to keep any one of the other pieces of my collection that got sucked up. In addition there was a small amount of gold that she was transporting too, so if you find that you can split it. Anything else?"
Sir Sepi, to his credit, had a look of incredulation on his face for only a moment before responding,
Sir Sepi: "I assure you these are all highly prized magical items. They are part of my family's personal collection. I was going to sell them, but I need that ring more. So will there be any more delays?"
Orb Man-"Greetings traveler! How may I help you?"
