Arl and Juris found that they could approach the selected ridge from a blindside if they approached from the south. Unfortunately they could only do so by coming towards the ridge from the side with the drop. The same formation that gave them cover might also make a sudden attack difficult.
Juris practically shot up the ridge, his combination of spells granting him a huge advantage. Arl progressed slowly but seemed to be in little danger of falling, her slight frame easily holding in to every hand and foothold she reached for.
**The plan thus proceeds! Arl hops off the ledge and runs up a slanted light platform, effectively creating a ramp leading up the cliffside. She cuts the veil with her fingernails as she does so. She could do without getting shot today.**
Arl crests the ridge with all the grace of a warrior, her tear in the veil not catching anything in particular. About twenty feet from the ridge she saw their target sat on a large rock. He wore a trenchcoat of navy blue and a matching hat with an overly large brim and pointed body. He was weathered, his fve o'clock shadow spotted with greys and his eyes a steely blue. The rifle balanced on his knees was twice as thick as any other Arl had seen, and finished with a black metal.
