**Loire was smiling too, despite the cold and rain, she'd jumped down and was helping get the horses unbridled from the carriage and into the stables.**
The door opened to reveal a low jakari with deep black fur, streaked with silver. The heat of a roaring fire wafted out at them as the door stood open, the jakari not saying anything.
Sem- My records said you would be human, Mr Fleece?
Jakari - "Yeah, he let me come in out of the rain, built up a fire and disappeared into the back. I'm not complaining, it's hell out there... Been raining ever since I left that gods forsaken inn."
Sem- Why did you leave an inn if it was so horrible out?
Sem asked as he walked into the front room of the place, shedding his jacket and hanging it over a chair near the fire. Creaking from the next room suggested someone with a heavy frame had just got moving.
Jakari - "Because it was an inn full of cheaters and the damn food poisoned me. Ever since I left I've got ridiculous flowers following me around. Do yourselves a favor and if you find yourself at an inn called The Four Seasons, turn around and go the other direction."
The door from the backroom opened to reveal a short, broad shouldered man with salt and pepper hair and a matching shaggy beard. He was dressed in loose cottons with the exception of the deer hide jacket that was slung over his shoulders, presumably for warmth.
Barlen- Ah, the surveyor is here.
Sem- Yes, mister Fleece. I had hoped to be able to look into some things this evening before we lost all our light, but this storm changes my plans a little.
Barlen- Well, you and your guards are welcome to stay here and start your work tomorrow if you like. Ain't never left a soul out in the cold and don't plan on starting now.
Sem- Epicrin helps funds the farms out here that have potential. It helps to keep the supplies consistent. This season I'm assessing White Fields, Jorun Acres and Light Weather on a few different scales.
**With the horses taken care of for the night, Loire motioned to Falthor that they should head in. She was anxious to get out of the rain and not catch a cold.**
Loire - I'm ready for a bit of warmth, how about you?
The chest they uncovered from the back of the wagon was heavy but Falthor was able to carry most of the weight with Loire helping to guide it into the house.
The door opened again to reveal Falthor and Loire carrying a heavy looking chest bearing the Epicrin seal.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.
Sem- My records said you would be human, Mr Fleece?
Jakari - "Fleece... Is that some kind of racist joke? The owner of this place is in the back room."
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.

Marius - That sounds more like being cursed than poisoned, although it doesn't sound all that unpleasant for a curse.
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.

"We are guards." she smiles.

To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Outside, Falthor nodded in response to Loire's question.
Falthor- We should grab Sem's chest from the wagon first. He may be fine leaving it out here but we're getting paid to think better.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.

**Loire moved to assist Falthor in bringing the chest from the back of the wagon.**

Sem- Ah, good thinking.
